This place lives up to its name. You can view the menu by scanning the barcode at the table and order at the kiosk. Service is confusing, with dishes being brought to the table but you have to get your drinks and silverware by yourself. We tried several chaats -- Pani puri, Dahi puri, Sabudana Vada, and Misal Pav. Everything tasted just alright.

INDIAN VEGETARIAN (3 stars) - FOOD/DRINK: ok - SERVICE: ok - PRICE: pricier than what you get - AMBIANCE: hard to find (next door to the use car lot, facing the Main Street, but having to loop into around to find the small parking lot infront do the restaurant). In search for my future go/to spot for Gobi Manchurian and stumbled here only to cross it off my list and unfortunately say keep searching. MANGO LASSI ($5.75) - mango puree, milk, and yogurt. The lassi's are premade and refrigerated. Something fell flat with the lassi and couldn't quite out my finger in it. Was the puree not sweet enough, was the pour ration between the milk and yogurt over measured? I don't know but the lassi was light and kind of bland. I was expect a little more excitement. GOBI MANCHURIAN ($13) - crispy cauliflower, Jndo Chinese sauce, in house garlic sauce, spring onions. When I received the order my thoughts were "that's it?" For the amount I paid for cauliflower seems short changed with what I was getting. The overall taste was ok. More saucy and and a little crunchy but not crispy. I the flavor of the sauce did taste Indo Chinese and taste both soy sauce snd curry. I felt this was ok yet there are others to be discovered. Until the next review...

Where this place is located at is real sketch. Lmao. I then realized it's behind Goldfinger and Brewski. Its not in the same parking area/plaza, its in the tiny used car dealer ship. Go past the Brewskie entrance to the next one. These really small mom and pops place is usually really good. I had this feeling the food was going to be excellent. Inside is small and had some tables, but they have an ordering station. They have a really big monitor for the menu and a kiosk for ordering. I got a cheese paratha. Its soooo good! It was crispy and soft and a hint of cheese. I went home and dipped it in chik fil a sauce! Lmao it worked for me! It was delicious. The bread was delicious times 10 so I KNOW other items will be even better! I was only able to have a bite bc you know, diabetes..but for sure on my cheat day im eating here. For 2026, I've decided to convert back to a vegetarian and this will be my first place I go to!

Their food is fresh and balanced in flavors. Service is ok. They should improve their service. Ambience is ok too gives like small eatery vibes. This place is tucked in hard to find the restaurant . I would recommend trying out this place to have fresh and healthy Indian/ Gujju food.

This is a small, tucked-away Indian restaurant with limited seating, so we did have to wait a bit for a table for the three of us. The space feels very casual and low-key, more like a neighborhood spot than a big sit-down restaurant, which I actually liked. I ordered the pav bhaji, which was pretty good. It wasn't anything mind-blowing, but it tasted very home-style and comforting, which made it enjoyable in its own way. The flavors were solid and it felt like something you'd eat at home rather than a super heavy restaurant version. Service was quick and efficient, which was great especially since the place was busy. Overall, it's a nice little spot if you're in the area and craving Indian food, and I'd definitely like to come back and try some of their other items to get a better feel for the menu.

Delightful. Delicious. Amazing. Incredible. Some of best food we've ever had. Twice this week and we rarely go out to eat. Hat can I say, it called us! The food is soulful, creative, and every flavor is intentional. I can't recommend Sattvik Foods enough!

Sattvik Foods is tucked deep in Miramar, close to other Indian spots and grocery stores. Parking can be a bit of a challenge--there's a tiny lot in front, but there are more spots in the back if you don't mind walking a lil. Loved the steel cups and plates, which gave it an authentic feel--felt like I was back in India. They have a touchscreen order kiosk, but beware--the prices didn't match their actual menu, so we just ordered at the counter instead. Food-wise, it was good, not great. Started with a samosa chaat, which was solid--hard to mess up but tasty nonetheless. For my main, I went with the mini thali, which gives you a sampling of their daily rotating menu. That day, it included: Tindora/potato combo--way too oily (literally dripping in orange oil ). Malai kofta--pretty unimpressive; the gravy was thick, bright orange, and just didn't taste right. Daal--too watery and bland for my liking. It came with rice and 3 rotis, so a decent portion, but the dishes of the day were just not it. I've been here before, and I remember the food being better, but that's probably because I stuck to the chaat. My friends ordered the paav bhaji and channa/puri, and those were much better. I think this place shines with street food-style dishes (chaat, paav bhaji, channa, etc.), but for anything beyond that, I wouldn't really recommend it. Maybe their other daily dishes are better, but based on what I had this time, I'd say stick to the basics.

This is your local spot for Indian street food, and if you're skeptical of vegetarian food, you can expect the food at Sattvik to open your mind. I went on a weeknight with a few friends and we got a little of everything to share with friends. The restaurant is spacious and clean, with colorful pop art and good seating. Service was attentive and accommodating. The appetizers samosa chaat and puri were great on texture, crunch, flakiness - and the flavor delivers for every dish here. The chutney sauce goes on everything including the puffed rice. We enjoyed the paneer a lot from the full thali we ordered. The winner of the night for taste was the Pav Bhaji- highly recommended! The mango lassi delivered as well and the rose lassi is an option if you like less fruity and more floral. Overall, 5/5 for taste and flavor and variety of foods. Sattvik is tucked away into a parking lot on Miramar but if you come in and sit down to eat, your taste buds are going to have a feast.

OMG... this place is amazing. It's such a hole in the wall but the food is so authentic and good. The Pani puri is good, the sample plate with multiple curries is great to help you taste new items. I will 10000% be back!

Whenever I need to get away and treat myself to lunch in a quiet, calming, meditative place, I come to Sattvik Foods. It's a drive -- goodness. Especially if you are in South Bay. But worth it for a late morning or early afternoon to enjoy a lunch and read a book. I've never met the founder and chef, Kanta. I hope to one day. She draws her inspiration from African and Asian heritage in preparing the dishes, creating a lovely fusion of fresh, flavorful and filling foods. I always, always have leftovers to take for afternoon snacks. You can order online, and catering is available. It definitely seems that Sattvik is getting more and more online orders, but I always like to stay. The restaurant feels like it is in a converted warehouse. It is shotgun side, and the seating is ample and spaced. There is generally no music playing, and very few people speaking. Most come and go quickly. Be sure to check the menu of the day. It rotates. My favorite is the thali, which is a set menu with three curries, an appetizer, dessert, the soup of the day, rice and a bread. Other favorites are the rotis, samosas and the puri dishes -- the entire menu, really. Lots of street food options on the menu. I highly recommend a visit.

    Crystal M.

After looking at the menu again and what we ordered, I am pretty sure we were over charged on the meal. I requested an emailed receipt and never received it so I can't compare to the menu posted in their restaurant. The dahi puri only came out with 7 pieces when the menu says it comes with 8. If you come here, make sure you double check your order and the price on the kiosk....very frustrating and I won't recommend this place. There is also an extra charge to use the kiosk.

Not bad, not great, but clean, very reasonably priced, and the food came out quickly. Service was minimal as this is kind of a casual dining spot better known for catering from what I have been told. My friend who brought me here said he felt we came on an off day- it's a holiday today after all- so I'd come try it again and see if it's better. Parking was no problem, you order and pay from a touch screen near the register. I enjoyed the artwork a lot. :)

Ask the Community - Sattvik Foods

How can this place be called Sattvik foods when it only serves Tamasic foods? The scripts say onions and garlic are Tamasik + Rajasic -- they said they couldn't serve me ANY food without onions and garlic... so how can this be called Sattvik?

Sattvik does not only means no onion and no garlic. It has a much broader meaning if you go deeper in the Hindu scriptures. It is also a lifestyle of living simply. conscious cooking and mindful eating..

    Do they have vegan food?

Yes! Tons of vegan menu options including their rotating daily combo plate called the mini thali...just ask for it vegan.

    Where is it located?

In a strip mall right next to a car dealership. You enter the driveway to the dealership. It faces Miramar road.

Okay, I have read a lot of the reviews. The ordering process is a nightmare, we are very clear…read moreabout what is to be ordered, but every time something is left off, once an entire meal. Is it because we're white, maybe. Pretty consistent. The hostess at the cash register seems to get everyone else's order right. We go a lot, and have never gotten our order right, no matter how much we go over it. The servers are excellent. The cooks are to the moon! Excellent food! The food is excellent - vegetarian, traditional from Southern India. I mean, the food is really great. The drinks are small, so order two, or you will end up waiting again in line. Last time we went, my drinks were completely negated from the menu. After 7 is when most families with kids come in. So it's a good time to bring your family in. Everyone is so friendly and everyone has a great time there. Some background music would be great. Everything you order is really taste and mouth-watering. Look at the monitor in the back for ideas about what you will order next time. Take a photo. Seriously. So much food to explore. I have traveled a great deal in India and around the world. I used to write food reviews for Knight-Ridder a huge daily and travel magazines. The only thing ruining the experience at this place - pretty consistently - is the woman running the register. We've sat near the register on crowded nights and everyone else seems to get everything they order. If you are outside the Indian race, and have a low tolerance for this kind of behavior, move on to the next place. The food is always hot, always good and everyone else is always friendly. My daughter came with us one time and she said the item deletion was pretty blatant and she won't be going back. It makes me sad, but a lot of people will not put up with it. I mean how many times can she do this? Every time. We go over the order. And it's always something. Like I said - excellent food, so I put up with what seems to be racism, something I don't find at any other Indian restaurant locally. There's never a sorry, or anything. Just a blank look when we come up and have to order again. Bummer for us. But, at least the food is good - gets cold waiting to order again. Please help if you're management.

We ventured to Flama Llama, delighted by the wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. What I was not mentally prepared for was the most enlightening culinary venture that I would ever undergo. Flama Llama provided for my companion and I both a satisfying afternoon meal, and perhaps the most poignant dining experience I have enjoyed thus far in my life. The meat was tender and juicy. The vegetables more flavorful than I ever thought possible. The noodles seasoned to perfection. The chicha morada subtly sweet and divinely slaking. And the sauce -- the sauce was orgasmic. I used to not believe those who claimed that good food tells a story. Before this meal I was blind, but now I see the truth. Tension, melancholy, tenacity, and elation. So rich in intensity and meaning. To descibe in human tongue this meal that transcends language would be a disservice to its biblical splendor. I can only in good faith describe the effect that it had on me. I have never cleaned my plate like I did in this restaurant. I have never performed with such steadfast resolve. I have never been turned into a beast of a man and immediately satiated by such postprandial bliss. I was a mad, esurient dog, and Flama Llama's cuisine a gentle hand guiding me to fulfillment. How the sweet meal sang to me, beckoning me into this nirvana like Saint Peter at the pearly gates. This world is a savage one, but the food at Flama Llama has reminded me that no matter how crestfallen, no matter how mired in anguish we as humans have become, beauty endures. I am, in all likelihood, Flama Llama's #1 fan. Still, I wish I knew enough about cooking or creation of any kind so that I could appreciate it more. I wish I had it in me to become so skilled at preparing food that I could develop something even remotely close to this. And while I have my eye on other endeavors, I will never stop being inspired by Flama Llama. Such artistry I will be hard pressed to find elsewhere. I can only hope that one day I will be responsible for something that touches someone as deeply as this food has touched me. An incredible experience if ever one there was. I may no longer seek love from a human companion because I have found everything I need at this establishment. I do not say this lightly: Flama Llama has changed the course of my life forever. afterwards we went to costco and got a hotdog and it was pretty good too
