Well, we just found our new breakfast spot at Myrtle Beach! Typically, on the way out of Myrtle Beach, we will stop at Hardees for a steak biscuit. We had breakfast at Eggs Up Grill on Church Street, Conway, SC. We had to wait a very long time to get served by our waitress. Unfortunately, my pancakes were raw so I sent them back. Our waitress wanted to know if I still wanted to keep the cold eggs. I told her NO and I wanted fresh cooked pancakes with freshly cooked eggs. We have been to Eggs Up Grill on Route 501 and the food and service were always great. But we will never ever go to the Church Street one. Not happy! read more

This is a hit or miss place for breakfast depending on who is cooking. I am now a local and find it really difficult to find a good breakfast place in this part of SC. Today I observed a blonde lady in the kitchen with no hair net on and gloves on but kept pushing her hair out of her face then touching food. The guys don't wear nets either in the kitchen. This is a chain restaurant here in the Carolinas. This is the first one I have been to but I was vary happy with the food and service. I was seated quickly and the food arrived quickly as well. I got a greek-like omelet (made my own because they didn't have what I wanted) with some rye toast and grits. Also added some of the seasonal pumpkin pancakes. The pancakes were probably the best I have ever had. Plenty of pumpkin spice with an awesome, home made pumpkin syrup that was sweet and filled with the flavors of the season. I have never had a pumpkin spice latte, but I imagine this syrup is like that, reduced down 1000% to extract the pure sweetness and flavors of fall. The omelet was tasty but not as hearty as I would have liked. I am glad I got the additional pancakes because just the omelet would have left me hangry. I am headed back down this way in another month and will surely stop. Hopefully they still have the PPP (pumpkin pie pancakes). read more

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and this is my favorite spot to chow down! I usually get french toast with home fries and turkey bacon, and I'm never disappointed! The Red, White, and Blue waffles are also good, as well as all of their omelettes! The environment is great and the staff is always very welcoming! My favorite waitress is Helena, who always greets me with a smile and checks on me frequently to see if I need a refill on my coffee! There are multiple Eggs Up Grills in Myrtle Beach, but this one is by far my favorite, and I drive an extra ten minutes just to come to this one! read more

The service here was great, but I honestly got the worst burger I've ever had. It looked and tasted like a cheap frozen turkey burger. It's pretty hard to mess up on a regular cheeseburger. My wife had a Philly cheese steak and said was okay but overpriced for the quality. This place needs better ingredients. We just left the beach this morning and on the way home we wanted to grab some brunch. Call me weird if you want, but of course I got a burger at a restaurant known for breakfast. This was only my third time going to any Eggs Up Grill. The two other times I had come to Eggs Up Grill, the whole restaurant was packed. This time we had only a ten minute wait for a party of seven people. Anyways back to talking about my food. I ordered the bacon cheese burger. When I got it, the bacon was very crispy which is how I like my bacon. The cheese was melted just the right way. My burger was delicious. On the other hand the home fries were just okay even after I added salt, but I still ate them all. Our service was great and the place was clean. Our waitress even gave me the first cup of tea right after they made it because I asked for it to-go. Over all, this was a good stop to get a bite to eat. read more

We stopped in here on our way back from Myrtle Beach. It is a bright clean place. The restrooms are clean. Nice adequate parking. The eggs and omelettes were "eggsellent". Coffee was meh. I likes the home fries but the sourdough toast was average. Do get the toasted blueberry muffin... It was the best bread item. The server was friendly, pleasant, and attentive. read more

We were seated at a table that had just been cleared but not wiped down. There was salt all over the table top. We needed to request cutlery for a member of our party. The cheese omelette was made with powdered eggs not fresh eggs; it was flat and rubbery. Good morning neighbors, I went to Eggs Up Grill this morning and noticed several changes that was made by their franchise. The menus has significantly changed. They are charging 99 cents extra for each vegetables, like onions, peppers, etc on the order. Secondly, we are a military family and as a veteran they used to discount the the whole ticket not just the veteran or the military personnel. I was truly disappointed by this because the family of a veterans have severed also; they endured the deployment, the time away so why not honor them also. As a Navy Veteran, I will not be going to an establishment that don't acknowledge my family's members as a veteran family. If this is the new norm, they will never see us eating there any more and I am asking for all veterans and law enforcement community to stand with me because we put our lives in danger every day and we don't have a choice on who or what needs to be discounted. read more

I have been here several times for breakfast. The first time, me and my husband both got omelettes. They were AMAZING!! Stuffed with lots of cheese and meat (and mushrooms on mine). So we went back the next morning because we were craving the same food but was very disappointed. Not nearly as much "fillings" in the omelettes and mine actually had egg shells in it. My husband ordered crispy bacon and it was half cooked. Also the hash browns weren't fully cooked. We left extremely disappointed. However, we knew that the day before we had the best breakfast ever so we returned with our children, again for breakfast, a couple of weeks later. It was much better than the second visit but not quite as good as the first. I am glad that we experienced the first visited because if the second visit had actually been our first, we would not have went back. I think this place is hit or miss depending on the cook on staff. read more

My daughter and I first heard about this SC chain from a college tour guide who highly recommended the one closest to the school. We ended up traveling out of town for a little and found this restaurant on our way home. We ordered breakfast, noting the "eggs served" count was over 42,000 in six months. They must be doing something right! Service was friendly and efficient and we got our hot meal quickly. Everyone can do scrambled eggs and sausage but I got the dish with the extra bisquit and gravy. They gravy was good and rivaled Bob Evans. My daughter had a chocolate chip, granola waffle. She is a picky eater but loved this entree and plans on making it at home. I looked at the chain's franchise brochure and their philosophy is to make sure owners have time with their families. They are only open 6:00-2:00 and I think that's great. A restaurant should do something great, not do a lot of things okay. We'll be looking for more of these on our southern travels! read more
