Those of you who are vegan have quite a few options as they have a section of plant based choices on their menu. As for me, I'm a meat eater and they have plenty of options in that category as well. We were a group of five and we all got something different. Our grandson had the Chocolate Chip Short Stack which was quite messy but he enjoyed it. The Eggs Benedict was good but a little small in my opinion. The Applewood Smoked Bacon was crispy. The only thing that kept me from giving them a 5 was the fruit. Eggs benedict was really good. The hollindaze sauce was not made from scratch. Eggs were perfect-flavor spot on. Then the fruit. Some neighbors recommended this place for a good breakfast so we stopped by. It's a very bright and cheery place with lots of fake flora on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. We were seated right away by friendly staff and our wait staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks and breakfast as the orange juice was so good! I had crab cakes hollandaise -it was good-really fishy but the eggs were done perfectly. My friend ordered the corned beef hash with eggs. The corned beef was not made in house but it was fine. We love a tasty breakfast cafe and this one was just what we wanted! This cafe is clean; customer service is excellent and the food is delicious. We visited on a Sunday morning (around 11am) and got seated right away. Brandy our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the trash hash which despite the name was so good! We also had an American breakfast with French toast and corned beef hash. We didn't have coffee but they do offer the flavored creamers which is always a plus for me. If you're visiting this area add Hot Stacks Cafe to your list for breakfast. They also offer a few non breakfast items. read more

This was such a nice experience from the time we entered the door until we finished our food. They have the traditional options plus all the good healthy stuff and some specialty dishes as well. I had eggs with turkey sausage and fruit while Hubby had the salmon toast special. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I'd love to come back for the crabcake Benedict shown on the specials board. The presentation was great and service first rate. I noticed that even the butter said grass fed and they offer vegan options on the menu and free range eggs. 100% yes for Hot Stacks ! Having multiple vegan options, plus daily vegan specials, is such a win. It's rare to find a diner on my travels with such a great variety for different dietary needs. Why aren't all diners like this ?! And vegan eggs too?! I'm obsessed with this place. The interior is super cute and modern, and the coffee is always fresh--every single time I've stopped in. My only complaint is I wish they stayed open later, at least one day a week or something ! I do love breakfast foods, but I'm not usually into having a big breakfast first thing. BUT I'll always stop by when I'm in the area though and take my food to go for later if I can't finish it all. My favorite vegan option is the avocado toast with added vegan poached eggs. It's amazing and I haven't come across many places offering that particular brand (I think it's called YoEgg). The staff is always friendly whenever I'm there. The menu was quite extensive. We all decided on breakfast. The prices were reasonable too. My iced macchiato was just average. The servings of the food were pretty large. The food was hot and fresh when it was served. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned, hot with a little crunch. My crepes were outstanding. Just wish there was a bit more hollandaise sauce! Great great breakfast spot for any visiting vegans! They have quite a few options and as long as you are ok with tofu you are set! They also will add or subtract things which is helpful and you can find something for everyone for sure! The staff are friendly and there is plenty of seating in the am I'm the off season. I imagine they get busier during the season but we were able to be seated promptly. Cute little diner fee and the coffee was pretty good (just had regular). The prices are a bit high for vegan options so we explored the menu (been there twice now so far) and found a few of the combo type things that will give you plenty of good food and still be vegan. We even had some left overs! I loved their grits and the side of grilled veggies honestly the best as those were masterfully done. The power bowl was tart but needed a sauce, so my recommendation would be to either ask for lemon or buy a side of salsa as it was a bit dry without it. However the flavors were good, just needed a side sauce to bring it to the next level. Everyone getting 'normal' breakfast loved their choices and were full and happy at the end. This is a very nice place to drop in and get breakfast. The food is priced well and our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the avocado toast which was really filling and tasty-- I added smoked salmon to it, they DONT skimp on it so if you're thinking of adding it, go for it! You'll get your moneys worth. My husband ordered the tall stack of pancakes with sausage and eggs-- he said it was tasty. The fruit that came with my meal was very sweet and good. My husband ordered two of the fancy coffees and stated they were "delicious." I wasn't a fan of the tap water as a heads up-- although I was pleasantly surprised at the number of vegan and vegetarian dishes that were on the menu. I think it's definitely worth a stop if you're in the area. The wait staff was so nice and ACCURATE! The food was hot, quick, fresh and delicious..... a side of sliced (fresh and ripe) avocado and a side of fruit. Not your ordinary side of fruit, this was perfectly ripe banana, blueberries and sweet strawberries. The main course was a scramble of eggs, feta (not overpowering!), spinach and tomato. One word...delicious. We're here on vacation and needed to find somewhere quick for breakfast. We walked in and we're seated immediately. The wait staff was so nice and welcoming. Lets get into the dining. They have tea, regular coffee and Nspresso coffee drinks and your regular breakfast drinks. The food came out so fast and was delicious. We wanted to grab a bite for lunch at a restaurant that was gluten friendly and not a long wait. We stumbled on this place as we were driving. They have a decent wait system. They give you a holder that beeps when your table is ready so you can chill in your car or outside. We waited about 20-25 minutes. It was definitely crowded on this day. We were seated and greeted by our server Brandie. She brought was water . We ordered pretty soon after that. We ordered gluten free pancakes and French toast with eggs, bacon, and grits. The portions were right on for the price. It was around $10-15 per person to eat. We were full for sure. The reason for my 2 star review is our server pretty much ignored us. She brought our food and then didn't bother to check on us. We needed more water and some condiments and she just disappeared. When she finally came back to the section she just stopped at the table with more people at it and pretty much waited on them only. After she grabbed the other table more water, to go cups, and boxes, we asked for the check, she said she would bring it then the larger table asked for more to go boxes and juice and she immediately brought it to them. So, we've eaten here 3 times total. October 2020, we loved it! I had omelets both of those times with double fruit; my honey got the Eggs Benedict the 2nd time, cannot remember what he had the 1st trip. He swore the Eggs Benedict was probably the best he'd ever had. We enjoyed those two rather expensive meals so much we planned to eat there again on our next visit, which was May 2021. I can't say if it's because they are busier, short of help, but the food was just okay. My omelet was just okay, I can make better at home. He got the Eggs Benedict again, one egg was overcooked; can't quite say what caused the food not to be as good, but he refers to it as the $50 breakfast, and neither of us cared to go again this trip. However, I'm still giving them a 4 because the visits in October were so good, and this one was good, just not nearly as good. read more
