Love this place! Food is amazing! Service was excellent and I definitely plan on going back again!

Great job with the coffee latte! Comparable to a coffee shop. Very clean, loads of windows and bright decorations. Happy and friendly folks working here. Loads of choices on the menu. The grilled muffins very good. The chicken omelette ok, all cooked and prepared well, but missing something. Was much better after a few drizzles of the Texas Pete hot sauce provided. Home fries pretty good, but prefer cooked a bit longer. All in all a good brekkie, recommend and will return to try other menu items.

Servers are clueless. I called to place an order and the woman I spoke to on the phone said I could come in. I live 3 mins away. I rush there only for them to tell me they were closed. It was 1:40, online orders say they close at 2. When I told the server that someone on the phone told me to come in and place the order she said that must have been before 1:40 because we're closed now . Yeah won't be coming back.

Delightful Norfolk brunch spot, 4.5/5 stars overall. Great service (thanks Kelly) with an enticing menu that won't break the bank. Croissant donuts ($6 for 3, 5/5 stars) were dynamite! Must get! Hot, sweet, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Mimosa flight ($14, 5/5 stars) and tequila sunrise ($7, 4/5 stars) were just the pick me ups our brunch needed. Biscuits and gravy were average (3/5 stars), caramel apple crisp pancakes with eggs and bacon were delicious (4.5/5 stars). Breakfast bowl was also scrumptious and the perfect amount of food. Shared parking lot and restrooms on site.

I've returned here a few times over the past year since my initial review. I'm happy to say that it is still as great as the first time. Service is prompt and friendly, food is consistently good. Atmosphere is clean and nice (a bit chilly inside in the summer months). Brought my Dad here and he loved it. We both had The Classic: 2 eggs over medium, 3 strips of bacon, home fries and rye toast. Food came out fast and eggs were cooked to perfection.

Sunday morning and this place is jam-packed! I was seated by a beautiful waitress named Samantha. She did a phenomenal job taking care of us even with all the tables she was assigned to. My meal, the Egg Bomb BLT, was amazing. The egg was cooked just how I wanted it- over medium with a runny yolk and the bacon was extra crispy. The mimosa flight was great. I chose the classic, blueberry, pineapple, and strawberry lemonade. As for the home fries, they were just red potatoes with a bit of seasoning. I was expecting chopped onions and bell peppers on them. By the end, I felt a bit buzzed with the flight lol. Large groups of family, friends, and dates come, so the noise level is pretty loud. Samantha then spoke to us when we were done eating. She's a total sweetheart.

I was out of town and craving breakfast so I found this local spot that was open until 2pm! I got a pineapple mimosa and the little waffle in the hen house. The mimosa was delicious and they have many different flavors. The waffle had a great flavor and I added strawberries and bananas which I highly recommend! The eggs and bacon were both cooked perfectly. I got my food very fast and I will be visiting again when I'm in the area!

First time trying the shrimp and grits and I must say, I love it! I was a little skeptical at first but all the flavors merged together is like an explosion of awesomeness. You really get a lot. I had enough to save for later on.

I ordered brunch via uber eats and I was served raw scrambled eggs and unknowingly consumed them thus giving me food poisoning. Because I ordered through uber eats I didn't get any resolution for this matter and tbh it's not their fault it's this restaurant.

Hidden Gem, very quality breakfast. We came here for my husbands last minute birthday breakfast. We would return!

The first half of The Grand Classic! CANNOT believe this was $14!!!

After six weeks of recovering, my beautiful wife has a clean bill of health. We celebrated with breakfast at a spot in Hampton called Eggs Up Grill and they made the day! This spot was delicious with GREAT service! (Shoutout Anastasia) And the price was worthy to note! I haven't been this hype about a restaurant in a long time! The staff was amazing. The Head chef was in the kitchen looking like Tom Brady on Sunday! Just kept everything flowing and each meal was a masterpiece. TOUCHDOWN!!!! The cutest thing was every time a fresh meal came out they would yell "EGGS UP!!" And those awesome servers would float over to the window and serve these great meals with a smile.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Eggs Up Grill! The food was outstanding--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Every bite exceeded expectations. On top of that, our waiter Anna was truly top-tier. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Her excellent service really elevated the entire experience. Highly recommend this location if you're looking for amazing food and exceptional customer service. We will definitely be back!

It has been nearly three weeks; I can stop thinking about No Frill Bar and Grill…read more I'm a military spouse, so I know my time in Hampton Roads is coming to an end soon. I visited a Hampton Roads Restaurant group on FB and asked if someone was visiting from out of town: What is your go-to place to take them? Out of 90+ comments, No Frill Bar and Grill was mentioned the most - six times! So when I finally had a day off and some other business to tend to in Norfolk, it was the perfect excuse to finally try them. No Frill Bar and Grill has been open for nearly 30 years by Jerry Meltsner. Jerry's nephew Jon Kliner helps co-own and manage operations. It originally opened on Tidewater Drive, but the space didn't allow for much growth - 10 years later, he moved to a location off Colley Avenue and Spotswood Avenue. Growth continued, moving from counter service to table service. The second location, at 1620 Laskin Road in Virginia Beach, opened in 2005. The restaurant's longevity stems from quality, consistency, price, service, and staff who genuinely care about the business and serving the community. I asked the server for her opinion on two options - Salmon, Shrimp and grits won. The dish was incredible: lightly blackened salmon, for once blackened food that doesn't just taste like salt. I don't dine with the swine, so I asked for no andouille sausage. The sautéed shrimp, caramelized onions, tomatoes, and spinach simmered in Norfolk Canyon ale sauce over cheesy grits and Boursin lavash cracker. The cheesy grits were smooth, and the Boursin lavash cracker was a nice touch. The Boursin added extra creaminess to the meal. The cracker wasn't really a cracker - more like little toasted bread. After this first meal, I know two things for sure: 1. I definitely understand why it is such a local favorite, and 2. I will be back.

The restaurant was fairly empty, with only three other tables occupied, so we were surprised by the length of the wait. Our two canned Sapporos didn't arrive until about 30 minutes after ordering. The shrimp sandwich took approximately 45 minutes, and the Vang rolls arrived after about an hour. After waiting an hour, we were informed that the garlic shrimp for our garlic noodles was unavailable, despite it being part of our original order. Unfortunately, the Vang rolls were so salty that we couldn't finish them. Throughout the meal, our water glasses were never refilled, and there was little communication about the delays or unavailable menu items. After roughly 90 minutes of waiting, multiple delays, and learning that several items were unavailable, we decided to pay for what we had received the two Sapporos, the shrimp sandwich, and the Vang rolls, which came to about $70. Perhaps we visited on an off night, but the combination of the slow service, poor communication, unavailable menu items, and disappointing food quality made for a frustrating experience. Based on this visit, I don't see myself returning. +1 Vibe +0 Taste +0 Presentation +0 Service +0 Value

Friendly, attentive service without being overbearing is always appreciated, and she struck that balance perfectly. My wife ordered the Red Curry Bowl with blackened chicken, baby bok choy, radishes, carrots, green onions, cilantro, and rice noodles in a rich red curry coconut broth. This dish was both aesthetically pleasing and delicious. The vegetables were fresh, the broth was flavorful without being overpowering, and the generous portion made for a hearty meal. In fact, there was simply too much to finish, which is rarely something to complain about. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I chose The Richmond, a fried chicken sandwich topped with pimento cheese, bacon, jalapeños, Mike's Hot Honey, spicy aioli, lettuce, and tomato on a potato bun, served with fresh-cut fries. The chicken itself was excellent, and the fries were crispy, fresh, and plentiful. Where the sandwich lost me was in its identity. There was so much happening between the pimento cheese, spicy aioli, bacon, jalapeños, and hot honey that each ingredient seemed to compete with the others rather than complement them. Somewhere along the way, it crossed the Rubicon from a Nashville hot chicken sandwich into something entirely different. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It simply wasn't for me. I finished it, and I certainly didn't dislike it, but I wouldn't order it again. Sometimes restraint is the better part of culinary creativity, and I think this sandwich would benefit from letting one or two of its ingredients take center stage instead of asking them all to share the spotlight. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. Good food, generous portions, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere make Craft on Colley a place we'll happily return to. While my sandwich wasn't quite a home run, my wife's meal more than made up for it.
