Came here around 11AM and there was still a lot of space around. My brother ordered the 2 eggs combo which came with 2 toasts, home fries, and his choice of protein (sausage). I got the light breakfast which came with my choice of 2 sunny side up eggs, 1 brown toast, a bowl of fruit, and turkey bacon. We also shared a side of pancakes which came with maple syrup. I am a huge fan of breakfasts and always looking for new places to try. I was passing by this place on Saturday morning and saw a queue. So thought of trying it out on some weekend. And hence I was here with my friend on a Sunday morning. Luckily we didn't face any queue and there were intact decent number of tables vacant while others were buzzing with folks. Well-lit vibes of the place. Has both patio and indoor seating. Staff is courteous too. Although food was a HUGE disappointment. I mean what can possibly go wrong either eggs right but still this place couldn't do justice to simplest meal and simplest ingredient. I ordered Green Smoothie and Southwest Skillet. The skillet came along with bread, roasted potatoes and muskmelon and orange sides. I didn't like the flavour combination in skillet, roasted potatoes tasted oily and nut buttery. It's a decent place to have a breakfast. This place was quite small and walking spaces were narrow. Tables were close to each other and not 100% clean prior. The menus were foldable pamphlets, sticky and worn out but still able to read. I have ordered the Montreal Smoked Meat Hash. The orders were placed and food was served quickly. I was surprised by the size of my breakfast. It had a pile of home fries, quite a few smoked meats, eggs of your choice (mine was scrambled) and caramelized onions at the bottom. The dish also served with 4 corners of toasts. Nice small place for brunch. It was fairly busy on Saturday morning. We were group of 4 and we're seated in 5-10 mins. The service is fast and the food is good. Beverages - good coffee and good options for smoothie. I took the winning which is mix of berries. Salad - Taco salad was good. Egg Benedict and chicken wrap was also good. At Yonge and Sheppard there are many great Asian food options, but not traditional greasy spoons. Today I was looking for pancakes and searched the whole strip and finally out of desperation tried the door of the Eggsmart. I had walked by earlier as half of the restaurant exterior is papered over, and so I had assumed they were closed. Yet much to my surprise the door opened to a room full of people enjoying "diner like" breakfast. The menu had a full selection of breakfasts with a section just for pancakes with various combinations of fruit and Nutella. I ordered the berry/banana stack with a side of bacon, which was nice and fluffy with a good portion of fruit on top. The coffee was passable diner coffee but four pieces of bacon was over cooked and $4.99. I can't rave about it, but definitely was what I was looking for. I suppose I would describe this place as lacklustre. Nothing impressed me, but there is nothing really bad about it either. I would like to find a place with better food, flavour and taste next time. Perhaps a non-chain breakfast and brunch cafe is the better option. I was here to meet a friend who wanted a location near the subway station. The waitress and waiter were polite and caring. We were seated quickly and the menu, which is full of options that are breakfast-related came soon after. My orange juice came out of a jar in the fridge, but was indeed fresh and squeezed on-site. Things went wrong with my Egg benedict. It was sitting on a boring and likely older English muffin that did not have any life on it. I am not sure that was Hollandaise sauce on it either. It was lacklustre. There was no garnish either to lend it some taste or jazz it up. The side fries were unevenly cooked. The prices are not exactly expensive, but are not cheap either. One has a choice of tables or booth and the premises are brightly lit. Nothing here was bad, but it is mass produced and not very tasty or high quality. read more

I can never get a seat here on the weekends but I had better luck during the week day with take out. I was able to call in 5 minutes prior and when I arrived it was ready. But my friends and I were able to secure a table for 3. The waitress who served us Maria should seriously get a raise!
