There was a lipstick stain on someone's glass, and when we told the manager she said she would take $3 off the bill. The waitress didn't check on the table once, or ask how the food was. What looks like a small restaurant from the street is actually quiet spacious and cozy inside. The restaurant has nice decor that actually makes you feel like you could be sitting outside in a garden alleyway. It looked like there was street parking in front but we parked in the lot around back and used the back entrance as well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu is quiet large (I was only looking for breakfast so I can't speak to the menu beyond that). The large omelette I ordered came with a side of home fries & your choice of toast or pancakes. I felt it was to much food for myself (not a bad problem) so I shared the pancakes with my niece. Eggsperience Vasilis wins in the details. It's the small things that make them stand out. Flowers on the table. A skewer of fruit with each dish. Pops of color throughout the restaurant. A carafe of coffee on each table (if you ordered coffee). They went above and beyond to make you feel like you were eating breakfast at home instead of in a restaurant. I went with a friend around 10:30 on a Sunday morning. The place was packed but we didn't have to wait for a table. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The portions were rather large and quite delicious. Prices comparable. The food arrived quickly. The eggsperience went above expectations. Another amazing breakfast spot in Buffalo. They really know how to do breakfast. First of all, the restaurant itself is lovely. It's so nicely decorated. Next the service was great! Our server was incredibly friendly. I had a breakfast sandwich that came with home fries and fruit. Our food was ready so quick I couldn't believe it. Every aspect of the meal was so good. The sandwich was great, the home fries were really great and the fruit was a nice touch. Their menu had every breakfast option you could want, omelettes, crepes, everything! This is our go-to spot for meeting for breakfast...and seems to be the same for a lot of Kenmore. It's spacious, bright, and the staff is very friendly. The menu is a good size, pretty good variety. If you like eggs, you're in luck. If you're a weirdo like me and can't stand eggs, there's a great selection of pancakes, waffles and crepes. My only complaint is that the pancakes are very dry. That's ok- try something else! Or maybe you like your pancakes that way- the taste is good, just dry. The crowd gets bigger around 10/11, but only big groups might wait a while for seats. read more

I love Vasilis for breakfast. The service is great. The food comes out hot and fast, regardless of how busy they are. The quality of the food is always top notch. Cute, open establishment. The Zen omelet is a fave. It comes loaded with almond slices, cheese, spinach, add bacon. They serve the lightest and fluffiest pancakes. They are slightly and perfectly sweetened. The coffee is good and they bring you your own carafe. A fruit skewer is served on almost every plate. The potatoes are always crispy on the outside and full of flavor. When I walked into Eggsperience, it had a warm rustic feeling to it that I loved. The food however, was very underwhelming. I ordered the black jack pancakes and it looked sad. It had three slices of strawberries and 3 slices of bananas scattered around with no butter or powdered sugar as was described on the menu. The presentation was not pleasing and the pancakes itself didn't taste any better. It was dry and tasted like cake batter. Breakfast places also usually have hostesses that go around asking if their guests would like a refill on their coffees and this place didn't do that either. We went here for a Christmas lunch party and we're rushed out of the restaurant and my salad was turning and not very good quality. It was very disappointing and the staff was very rude putting on their jackets, taking plates away as fast as possible. But they definitely made sure to get the receipt to get their tip. Just moved to the area and wanted to give this place a try because it's so close to my apartment. I was tempted by the Eggs Benedict but ultimately went with Milo's sweet tooth (French toast with Nutella, bananas, and strawberries) and the steak and egg special for $6.99. Me and a friend split these and they were both great. The steak was a little tough but for that price I won't complain. The French toast was amazing. The prices were jsyt as good. I've ordered from here a couple times and had a decent experience. The food is regular subpar diner food. But today I ordered lunches online because I was headed to visit my friend in the hospital. Visiting hours are pretty strict, 1-2pm for the unit they're on, so when I saw it would be done by 1 I knew it was perfect timing to pick it up. I arrived at 1, but the food wasn't ready. I work in customer service, so I try to be polite even though I'm on a time crunch. When 1:15 rolled around I was getting stressed. I asked the server multiple times and explained the situation. I had simply ordered two salads and an order of chicken fingers. What's taking so long? So at 1:30 I approached the kitchen to ask how much longer. While I was waiting for a response, an older lady asked me if I had ordered online. At first I thought she must be waiting too. I expressed my frustration to her in a funny way - thinking we were both stuck. But apparently she worked there, she got loud and told me I needed to be patient. She didn't apologize whatsoever. The server did, multiple times, but I told her it clearly wasn't her fault whatsoever and she was fine. I will never be giving them my money again. read more

Meet several friends there for early lunch because one out of the ten friends lived close by and wanted to go there. Now some of us had no problems with the place. Several of us did. The place is located in a high crime area and the parking is terrible. I ordered eggs, toast and asked if they had hash browns. The waitress said they did and it came with the order. I said i didn't see it on the menu but did see home fries. She said home fries and hash browns are the same thing ...ok? I got my order and immediately told her the toast was burnt and i mean way over burnt. I would not have offered such an obviously flawed meal to a customer ever. She told me she would bring out another order of toast. The rest of my food was fine. Two friends ordered steak and eggs and said the flank steak was so tough they couldn't get the knife to barely cut it and didn't eat the steak. Several other people said their home fries were cold. Other friends said the hollandaise sauce was tasteless. I kept waiting for the waitress to come around so i could ask where my toast was as i like eating my toast with my meal. Well everyone was done eating, including myself when the waitress finally brought out my toast ...at which time i told her i no longer wanted it since i already finished what i was served. She never apologized or reduced the price of the bill. She simply walked away like it was normal to get complaints and said nothing. I will never go back due to the following reasons. Bad location, bad parking, bad service and food was sub par. I will say the place was clean and some friends had no problem with their food. My wife and I stopped for breakfast after dropping off her annual work food drive collection to the food bank. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was friendly, outgoing and very efficient. She brought a thermal carafe of coffee for me and an earl grey tea with side of lemon for my wife. My wife ordered the Eggspectation omelet with a side of pancakes. I ordered the Vasilis' breakfast with side of pancakes. Both orders came with a side of homemade applesauce, home fries and choice of toast or pancakes. Mine included a skewer of fresh fruit. The food was fantastic!! We almost finished it. The portions were large. Even though I had the thermal carafe on the table our waitress stopped by to top my mug off. Best breakfast experience ever at a hidden gem in Kenmore! Today was my first time visiting eggsperience and it was incredible. The location is spotless and trendy - fabulous lighting and ambiance. We were seated immediately and ordered coffee. Not only did we get our cups of coffee but we also got a carafe which was AMAZING. The menu was filled with exceptional choices - I opted for the eggs Benedict with asparagus and my friends ordered caramel apple waffles and one of the breakfast skillets with pancakes. It was actually difficult to decide what to get because there were so many incredible choices! The food arrived quickly and it was presented beautifully! Also, the portion was healthy and delectable! We dug right into our respective meals (and also sampled each others) - everything was magnificent! There was so much food, i couldn't even finish but i love that - I'd rather have too much than not enough. I can't wait to return to what is now my new breakfast place. No carafes or unlimited options for mimosas. Each glass of mimosa costs $6. Kind of not worth it. Mostly OJ. I ordered a sausage omelette which comes with a side of pancakes. Lots of food! Omelette was okay. They have lots of French toast, pancake, and crepe options. But you can't do substitutes. Both our hostess and waiter were pleasant and the space is very nice - bright with a bit of quirk. Our food was okay but nothing amazing. I ordered the crepes avalanche which were two crepes with custard, mixed fruit and whipped cream. Nothing was notable outside of the custard which was pretty good. My friend got the Greek breakfast which he said was very one note with little flavor. Considering how large the menu is, it's possible we just didn't order the right things. Its a shame what happened to this place, used to be a diamond in the rough for Greek cuisine. What happened??? I went recently with my wife, the waiter was easily the worst we've had anywhere in years and they didn't have Spanakopita (gasp). 1 - He asked for our order, we started to order, then he interrupted us and starting walking away while mumbling "pen." Then he stopped after a few steps, came back, and said he'll just remember our order. We ordered a Spanakopita Salad (no tomato no olive) and a Chicken Souvlaki Salad (no onion). 2 - After about 20 minutes, he returned to our table to tell us they don't have Spanakopita Salad anymore. Odd for a Greek restaurant, but OK, so we just changed my order to Chicken Souvlaki. 3 - He served us 2 Chicken Souvlaki Salads, both no tomato no olive. My wife was confused and asked why she didn't have tomatoes or olives on hers and he said "Chicken Souvlaki Salad doesn't come with tomatoes or olives." My jaw dropped. 4 - He then returned with 2 little cups of olives and a little cup of tomatoes, put them on our table, and then asked my wife "Is that enough tomatoes for you?" in a very prissy tone. 5 - After eating, it took about 20 more minutes for him to bring the check. It wasn't busy, may 2 other tables. Our business lunch took 1:15 and it wasn't even crowded...that's crazy. 6 - His mask wasn't covering his nose...that's not a hard one, everyone else in the service industry is doing it just fine. I have to say, we used to love this place. But if we go back again and that server is still working there we are just going to turn right around a leave...kind of tragic because it used to be so good. read more

To start, the floors and menus are very sticky. I would recommend a thorough and complete cleaning of the entire place. We ordered breakfast for 2 plus an additional meal to split. 2 of the meals came out together but we waited another 15 minutes for the 3rd meal to come out. We were never asked by ANYONE if we wanted refills on our drinks or ANYTHING. We were there well over an hour. I drive past Vasili's at least once a week and never gave it much thought because it looked small and I always thought it was a take-out place, and then after seeing it on yelp and reading a few reviews I finally convinced my husband to go there too. He of course was skeptical and kept saying it was a take-out place, however as we walked in we were both pleasantly surprised at the size of the restaurant! Looks can be deceiving and the restaurant is actually quite big and very tastefully decorated. The menu is quite large and there is a big selection of breakfast items. Being a big breakfast lover myself this place is dream come true! Our food came out quite fast and was sooo delicious. Everything we order was really yummy and the best part is that they have real maple syrup! Yay! I'm so excited that kenmore has such a cute breakfast place and will definitely be back! read more

Pre-pandemic this place was a solid 3 stars. But oh how awful it is now. I just went this morning & it was ridiculous. Plenty of waitstaff but long waits for food. I asked for no tomatoes on my sandwich and of course it had extra tomatoes. I asked for a side of tzatziki and never got it. WOW. First we ordered online and they said they never got our order so we were confused of course. Then we talked to them and they claimed they never got the order in their system. So we call the third party service for a refund. I got mine but my friend didn't get his money back because the restaurant prepared the order and wouldn't give a refund even though we didn't eat. BUT WAIT, how did we prepare an order that never came through?? So we go back in to get our money and our orders are waiting and the manager helped us with this third party service. Manager was nice. Then the owner gets on the phone with them and gets really ghetto then has the audacity to catch an attitude with me and make it my fault. Like sweetie you don't even know who you have accounts with.
