Went to Eggstatic for a nice breakfast because I've heard about it on BLOG TO. Pretty decent scenery and the server was really nice. They seem like they have a well oiled machine running. I went around 9:30am and it was pretty busy! Only complaint would have to be that I didn't enjoy their home fries too much, they felt a bit soggy. All together a pretty enjoyable experience with my beautiful wife!

I got the Cilbur and spicy potatoes and I have got to say, I've never tasted anything better in my entire life. All the flavors of this dish had me feeling like Ratatouille in that one scene where he combined strawberry and cheese. And as a white person, the "spicy" potatoes were not too spicy for me to enjoy TF out this meal. I also got sausage on the side so I'd recommend adding that in if you decide to get this.

I love Eggstatic. I enjoy the various unique pancakes they offer. Their service is always exceptional. There is limited seating, however, in the summer months there is a patio located just outside the restaurant. The only negative about this restaurant is during the winter. If you're seated too close to the entrance, it does get cold as the door opens frequently. Also there is limited parking outside as there is only paid street parking on Bayview. Nonetheless, 5 stars ! You definitely have to try Eggstatic.

This place is busy!! And for good reason! Definitely make reservations!! We came on a weekday around 11:40-noon and was slightly late for our reso. Luckily they were still able to accomodate us three after a five min wait. The decor inside is quite interesting. White walls with white plates but once in a while there is a croissant or waffle stuck to the wall! Their food menu is quite extensive (double sided) with a separate menu for drinks/coffees. Unfortunately we were told that day we visited, they do not have the Protos Optimus bfast and shashuka. I ended up getting the fried chicken Benny (with egg muffin base). You can get egg muffin or toast base included or waffle or croissant base for an extra charge. The poached eggs on the Benny can be served soft, medium, or hard. I like how I get options hah! My friends got the Kafta scotch egg and falafel croissant. All three of our dishes came with home fries and salad and beautiful plating presentation. The salad dressing was not anything to write home about and did not really have too much flavour. The potatoes were seasoned well. My fried chicken was juicy inside and crunchy on the outside. Overall, so glad we came here for brunch and will be back for more!

This place is AMAZING. This was truly the best breakfast my boyfriend and I have ever had. The Memen and Loutus pancakes were so delicious. Sergei, the chef, puts so much thought into flavors and presentation. The service was also great. Hassan was very friendly and attentive. Overall, we had a wonderful experience dining here.

We decided to stop by Eggstatic as our last brunch in Toronto. We arrived around 11:30 and waited about another 30 minutes to sit inside instead of outside. What we got: Kafta Scotch Eggs Crispy Chicken Benedict Biscoff Lotus Pancake Service is good. Can be a little slow at times because of busy it is but as soon as you wave them down, they're friendly and attentive. The kafta scotch eggs were tasty but a bit dry good thing there was the house hot sauce because saved it and made it even tastier! The crispy chicken benedict was also tasty but we did ask for additional hollandaise sauce because this sauce was also very yummy! The biscoff pancakes were a nice way to end the meal with something airy and sweet!

This was my first time coming to Eggstatic and I loved it! I came with a party of 2 on a Tuesday morning and they were full. Thankfully I only had to wait for 10 minutes. I tried coming here on a Saturday and the wait was an hour long. Reservations are recommended. We got the halloumi toast, lotus biscoff pancakes and the spicy nashville benedict and all were so amazing! The halloumi toast was one of the best things I've ever had. The pancakes were very dense but not overly sweet. Servers were very kind and attentive. I'll be back as there were more menu items I wanted to try! 1 star off because the washroom was not the best - had a smell and no hooks to hang up jackets/bags.

Im happy to see an upscale Halal Brunch spot opened in Durham. I have visited Eggstatic to their grand opening day and enjoyed the meal. Beautiful restaurant and amazing vibe. Perfect for weekend family brunch. The Pistachio Pancake and smoked salmon crossiant are a must try. Wanna try the Nashville chicken Benedict next time. I'm definitely going back soon.

BEFORE I SAY ANYTHING: book ahead here, don't wait in line or think you can do it - I waited 2 hours for a 2 person table/they aren't very organized either and under quote the times Went here for a nice brunch on a Sunday and sat outside at their covered patio. Food came out fast and was delicious, I was surprised at the menu options and how much choice there was. Our waiter was accommodating - especially given how busy it was - and quick with us. This place lost a star simply to how under staffed and under prepared they were. When being told you have a 45 minute wait - that turns into 2 hrs - that should be unacceptable. They had 1 person running 3 huge lines of people trying to get in, make a reso, ask questions and it just put a really negative vibe on the whole place due to the staffs stress. I would for sure recommend this place - just with a reservation.

    Classic Middle Eastern Breakfast

Tried to come here before but couldn't get a table, second time was the charm :) I had the Classic Middle Eastern Breakfast. It was a middle eastern style omelette with greens and beef sausages, tasted special, the zaatar added some exotic flavour to it. They have both patio and indoor dinings available, inside was a bit squeezy, I was sitting right in the middle of the hallway, between entrance and the kitchen, the metal chair wasn't comfortable to sit on either. Would be nicer if there's some upgrade with the setup. Food (quality, presentation) - 4/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - 4/5 Ambience (interior, cleanness) - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Value - 4/5

Food was great! Loved everything and the refreshers and chai was so tasty too. Service was a bit over the place, but the restaurant was very very busy so likely contributed to the long wait.

This was our first visit and my hubby and I were looking forward to our brunch date. The restaurant offers patio and inside dining. Passport vaccine is no longer required. We ordered two dishes (Cilbur with spicy potatoes and Shashuka) and they were both really good. The pita bread has a sauce drizzle made from melted butter and spices that tasted amazing!!! The potatoes were cooked to perfection. I couldn't stop eating them. We didn't try the drinks like lattes or juices because we were saving our stomachs for coffee at a new coffee shop I wanted to try. The restaurant is clean and we look forward to be back soon.

From the hostess to the waitstaff. All very polite and welcoming. We observed them with other guests and they seemed very patient with the loud kids...and adults to be fair. LOL We had the big skillet both days as well as the breakfast sandwich. While there were some variances, we enjoyed both experiences. The first visit was better in my opinion - the potatoes were tender and not overcooked and my fruit cup didn't have a lot of cantaloupe. I have shared pictures of the menu as well. We had sparkling water and diet cola both times. Our beverages never ran dry. There is an upstairs that overlooks the first floor dining area. We wondered if anyone had ever spilled a beverage that landed on guests below. We could definitely see the possibility of that happening. They also had a nice patio, however, on the hotter days, not sure how enjoyable the city smell would be while trying to eat. Interesting - they only had one bathroom. So we observed a line. And there are tables right next to the door. I would avoid those seats if possible. A little too close to the restroom in my opinion. If we are in the area again, we would definitely eat here again, although they may be at the new location if we visit in the future. I look forward to seeing the upgraded features at the new location.

Pierina guided us via phone and even came outside of the restaurant and waved as we approached. That was awesome Customer service as well as kindness. Ambiance was chill inside. Especially liked the artwork and table with their name on it. I had the Nutella latte, Nutella and strawberry waffle, and a side of sausage. Didn't like the sausage at all (tasted a bit gamey) but that's probably because ein the states there are nitrates, etc that make it taste better. No biggie! She switched it out for bacon, and that was fine and appreciated. My sister had the breakfast tacos that looked delicious and she really enjoyed. All in all this was a great pick and I would return when im Canada ever again and I'm in the area. Keep up the great work, Pierina. Her welcoming attitude attentiveness and knowledge of the menu was stellar and warrants recognition. Thank you!!!

The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Where the experience finds room to grow is in the choreography of the space itself. The room is petite, charming in its cobalt blue framed way, but the flow between ordering and pickup can feel cramped during a rush, and seating fills quickly. The potatoes were probably my favourite out of everything. It was good but not the traditional you would expect. My friends sadly did not like their eggs benedict. The coffee was also average, not very strong or fragrant. Service was absolutely terrible. Our sever took so long to come, we see him just chatting in the corner. Food (3.5/5) - the menu is a combination of small and large plates ideal for sharing. A cosmopolitan menu of diverse items from many different cuisines. - Baja Caesar Salad - baby romaine, corn, caesar dressing, agave bacon, croutons, grana padano, chili spice. This was pretty good, romaine was fresh and sauce not too overpowering with a slight kick to it. - Coconut Shrimp with mango salsa, lime, chipotle aioli. Also pretty good... shrimp was cooked fine and the garnishes worked with it. - Tuna Ceviche with avocado, cilantro, corn, red onions, leche de tigre, cancha, plantain. This one was average. The sashimi chunks were pretty average and the overall mix seemed to lack flavour and moistness. - Hamachi Crudo with avocado, elderflower, pickled strawberry, jalapeño, pistachio, basil, olive oil. This was one pretty bad... some of the worst hamachi I have ever had! Overly fishy and off-colour. Service (4/5) - server and assistants were friendly and generally attentive. Some lapses in check ins from time to time. Rooftop is first come, first serve so a reservation does not mean you will be seated quickly and may have to hang out in the interior bar or tables until ready. However, it really is a great atmosphere for dining, even if sitting inside. It is a bucket list destination at a minimum and worth a repeat imo.
