We sat outside in their heated patio, so it was a bit colder, but the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We tried the Biscoff pancakes (and saw a lot of other tables did too), it was a bit sweet, but the pancakes were excellent. Kapil, our server was fantastic. He took the time to explain one of the menu items to me because I couldn't make up my mind. We had a party of 4 and got seated instantly without reservations at 11am on a Saturday but YMMV. Masks are required indoors and each table had hand sanitizer. They also served bottled water instead of glasses. Food was amazing - well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and hearty portions to keep you full all day. I happened to be in the area picking up some cookies and I felt like a breakfast sandwich, so I figured I'd give Eggstatic a try. A quick perusal of the "Sandwiches" section of their menu led me to the Eggstatic Breakfast Sandwich ("Scrambled eggs united with sriracha mayo, melted cheese, and caramelized onions; served on a wonderfully soft brioche bun"). After waiting for just a few minutes for my food to be ready, it was handed to me and I was off to the races. I reached into the box to grab the 'wich and I couldn't find the bottom because my hands kept touching the plentiful scrambled egg mixture. But I finally did manage to pick the incredibly messy concoction up and take a bite. It's pretty good, but nothing I would ever order again. Everything is cooked very well, but the problem is that the whole thing is pretty one note. The super-soft brioche bun disintegrates almost immediately, and it also imparts a distractingly sweet taste to the dish. The sriracha mayo is so sparingly applied that it might as well not be present, which ensures that the scrambled eggs, melted cheese, and caramelized onions are almost bland in their sameness. (The whole thing needed something to cut through the richness and sweetness, that's for sure.) It's a pretty decadent concoction, to be fair, so I could see it going well alongside a nice bitter salad or some greens. But on it's own, unfortunately, I can't say I was too crazy about this meal. read more

It's a few bucks more than your other breakfast choices in the area but if you want something a bit different then give Eggstatic a try. We ordered smoked salmon Benny and omelette. Benny was good according to my wife but I didn't try any so I will just leave it at that. Omelette was veggie and a tad salty but otherwise pretty good. The sausages were actually three savoury meatballs not unlike a typical Persian skewer meat. Very good. Got a slice of white toast (ugh) with literally a single smear of avocado. Not enough to cover the bread just enough to leave you wanting more. Coffee was so so and service while friendly was a bit slow. Haven't had brunch for a while and found this place on Bayview near Eglinton. This js a small restaurant so it's not spacious but it's alright. I was thinking of getting a Benedict and one pancake. However I saw someone ordered that and it looks soso and not fluffy I switched to ordering two Benedict instead. Smoked salmon was always my favourite. So I asked the server for recommendations. He told me pulled beef was sold out. And crispy chicken is their best seller. So I went with one smoked salmon and one crispy chicken. The portion is okay. Served with some greens and potato with a couple grapes. It is $25 each. Not sure if it is a bit pricey or not. Seems like MT charges 22 for their salmon benefit on crossiant. One thing to note Eggstatic offers to upgrade from muffin to crossiant and others for extra 1.5? Back to the taste. The smoked salmon is not bad. But not special. Other than the Hollandise sauce. Ones can make it at home easily. Their so called best seller was kind of disappointing. Chicken not crispy and it is a bit overcooked in my opinion. Overall. The food is soso in my opinion. My kids ordered the kids pancakes and the restaurant also was willing to make a kids version of the waffle dishes - namely just waffle and maple syrup (without ice cream and chicken etc). We also got the shakshuka which came with a very hearty tomato and pepper sauce, poached eggs, a really tasty unleavened bread, cucumbers, pickled veggies and tomato slices. It was very good and not spicy. Last we got the classic middle Eastern breakfast which came with a variety of options including olives, tahini, sausages etc. overall it was a really good brunch. The eggs were poached perfectly and when broken the yolk mixed with the Hollandaise sauce and cream cheese brought the flavours to another level. The interior is functional and now they have patio seating as well for the summer. The staff is friendly and courteous. The scotch egg with beef caught my attention so ordered them though the list of items is long and one is sure to find something that would work. The food took a reasonable amount of time to arrive. Visual presentation is nice. I liked that included a side of seasonal berries as well. The salad on its own is good. The potatoes were ok the tomatoes side was very good. So happy I got to finally try out this place after our second attempt! The first time we went without calling and were given a 2 hour wait so decided to try again. At 10:30 AM on a holiday, the restaurant wasn't packed as I thought it would be. We were seated immediately. I loved the unique breakfast options, which made it really hard to choose what to order. Thankfully, we were a party of five, so we could share and try multiple things. I opted for the Crisy Chicken Benedict. The hollandaise was incredibly flavourful. It was well seasoned and garnished with some fresh dill. I twas delicious. The benedicts came with a side salad and home fries (which were really good as well). Great place to checkout in the area! It was full of veggies and it came with a small side of salad with mustard house dressing, herbed home fries, a little container of chopped fruit, one slice of bread with a smear of guacamole, and a few mini meatballs. Not all the accompaniments were listed on the menu so I was disappointed, as a non-meat eater, that I didn't have the warning to ask for no meatballs and ended up with them on my plate. The food is good and I especially liked the fresh fruits and veggies. Next time I may try the shakshuka, which comes with a couple of puffed-up pitas. The restaurant was well staffed so there was always someone around if we needed anything. We got a free dessert with Yelp check-in and chose the mini doughnuts. The Shrimp & Feta Cheese Omelette consisted of shrimps, scallion, diced tomatoes, eggs, and feta cheese. The eggs were a tad overdone and dry but it was flavor packed with chunky tomato sauce, fresh herbs, garlic and feta. The Oven Baked Tenderloin was an interesting dish with slow cooked beef tenderloin baked under a bread dome with tomato sauce and fire roasted veggies. This middle eastern influence dish was spicy and hearty. The smokiness and savory aromas of the spices add depth as they balance the flavor of tangy tomatoes. The dish is served with baked pita and veggies, providing the perfect carrier to soak up the sauce. If you have a sweet tooth, try the Biscoff Lotus Pancake. Light and fluffy pancakes served with fruits, grounded lotus biscuits and vanilla ice cream topped with rich creamy peanut butter sauce. When there is ice cream on your pancakes, it's like having a sundae for breakfast. The warm peanut butter sauce drizzled over ice cream was very good. The grounded lotus biscuits also adds caramel flavor and a little textural variation. Overall, the food was good and our server was friendly. The food is a bit pricey though with a long wait time as it took close to 40 minutes for our food to be served. I would still recommend to check this place out at least once. read more
