This is one of my favorite places after a long week of work. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. Even though the place gets very crowded, they have many seats inside and outside, and they try to take the orders as fast they can. It can get a bit loud but is still a very good ambiance. Clean, calm atmosphere. The food is delicious! I've never ordered something and not liked it. I ordered a Cheeky Blonde while I was waiting for an online order that did not get pushed through because I their iPad wasn't working so the beer was complimentary while I waited and I truly appreciated that. Fantastic local beers and a friendly neighborhood feel! I spent an hour here with my laptop and a beer in the corner as the place slowly filled up with the dinner crowd. Families with kids. A few couples that looked like dates. And then the local "run" club arrived in their fluorescent tshirts and enthusiasm. I was able to find a beer I liked from the menu and the bartender provided the wifi password. A quiet corner (at least until the place filled up) and it was a very pleasant time. This is a nice little brewery nestled in a shopping center, and luckily it's about 4 mins from my place (so we will be regulars!). There are games and a really nice selection of beers. I got the cheeky blonde, which I enjoyed and my boyfriend got a couple IPAs. We also got the pot roast Sammie (they ran out of the French dip) and it was very delicious! I was pleasantly surprised with how good the sandwich was! My only complaint is that I wish they had some nice homemade chips or something other than a bag of lays as the side. We came in the night of a storm and it was still busy. We ordered at the counter a flight, pretzel, 1/2 cuban and Capresse Sandwich. We started with the Cheeky and Taylor cheeky. The Cheeky was ok but the Taylor Cheeky was a bit too fruit flavored. The Sunny was also ok but we really liked the Red. We liked it so much we took 6 home:). The pretzel came out with our lunch so the cheese congealed a bit before we could finish it. The pretzel itself was good. The hall cuban was ok but not great. The Capresse sandwich was a surprise to find at a brewery but good. The seating area is not real big and can see how it might be crowded on the weekend. The tables were clean and the staff was nice. If we are in the area again would try a different sandwich as they were out of Turkey bacon, and one of the salads. read more

Been here 3 times now. Beers are good with several choices/styles to pick from. First time we went the food was ok. Mostly sandwiches and appetizers. I had a Caesar salad which I felt the chicken was out of a bag, not freshly cooked. The other 2 times I went for lunch and had a half sandwich. Both were plentiful and tasty. FYI It is dim inside and mostly self serve (order at the bar and they bring food if ordered or go back to the bar for more drinks). Friendly staff. Will return. read more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, and I honestly started to doubt the Yelp reviews when I pulled up to the building... but boy was I surprised. I grew up in Florida and have been to nearly every brewery in the Tampa area, but this one was different. I'm not a big IPA/stout fan, but was able to find not one but TWO draft beers that I absolutely fell in love with - the cheeky blonde and the direct current! Both were light, crispy and refreshing - but didn't have a harsh aftertaste! For the food... you literally would not expect food at a brewery to actually be GOOD. Edible? Yes. But good? Few and far between. But when I tell y'all, this was the best grilled cheese I have EVER had the pleasure of stuffing in my face, I mean it! I just had to order the whole hog and my taste buds couldn't believe it. The bread was made in house, the meat and cheese were fresh as could be, it was a match made in heaven. Now I have to try every sandwich on the menu; I'm hooked! Definitely a must try if you're in the area!!! 15/10 read more

Leven Brewing was my go to Brewery when I lived in the area. I have gone there since they opened several years ago. Their Red is my favorite. This is a great place to bring the family or to watch a game. They are pet friendly on the patio and they serve up some tasty dishes as well. My first impression of Leaven Brewing is that this is a family oriented neighborhood hang out.  There were babies, kids, teens and fur babies all with their respective beer lovers.  Upbeat music and the venue is loud.  Was here on trivia night which might have added to the eclectic and electrified atmosphere. There is a small concrete bar where the taps are. Plenty of room inside including tables and a lounge area with leather couch.  They have a loyalty club called founders.  They have lockers for the founders with 4 personalized mugs per locker.   It's a really cool concept. On my visit here I did order food and it was decent.  I ordered a steak taco and a pork taco.  Both were great.  Also ordered chips and Queso which I loved.  They put chives in the Queso.  It was really good. There is beer, wine and some guest bottles and cans.  There were a good number of people ordering a Black Widow cider.  I guess this is popular here. The BEER: Snozberry Lemonade... berliner Weiss 4.1% ABV... light, lemony, with a hint of raspberry, or is that snozberry? Very good. Is Good Kolsch 4.4% ABV... also very good for a Kolsch... light, refreshing G'Boy Bailey IPA 7.7% ABV... a decent balanced IPA Florida Boy IPA 7.7% ABV... the G'boy with orange. This one is special. This is phenomenal.  Leaven brewing has good beer and a cool family friendly atmosphere.  The food was good as well.  I could see visiting here again the next time I am in the area. read more

We went to play trivia on a Tuesday evening. It was LOUD! There was no noise reduction in the ceiling or floor. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich from the limited menu and a Pretzyl with beer cheese. Both were delicious! It was a walk-up serve yourself setup. The beer was good. My husband doesn't drink and he ordered a diet soda. It came in a bottle with no free refills. We really enjoyed the type of trivia but prefer a quieter atmosphere. read more

A cool little brewery tuced away in a Riverview strip mall. We met a group of friends here for drinks and sandwiches. I don't even like beer and I was able to find one I liked, a tart berry beer. They recently began offering food and have some sandwiches on the menu along with specials. I had a Cuban and my husband had an Italian. Both were delicious. Very large portions.
