I have a customer who orders multiple items at one time that require me to box them and take them…read moreto the post office. Today I went to the Chesterfield post office with 40 small boxes and was told I could only have 10 of them at one time handled by the woman behind the counter and then I would have to go back in line and have 10 more done. Then get back in line again and again. I have never been told this before at any post office and I have been mailing these boxes for many years . Today, the female employee who was assisting me, and I use that word, assisting loosely, started out by making a face when I told her the boxes weren't already marked with postage. That's when she informed me that she could only handle 10 of them because @it's a busy post office".. There was no one in line behind me when she started and 3 customers waiting when she finished. When she did finish, they were 3 emojis that came up on the screen - a smiley face, a frowny face and an indifferent face. Before I could react, she tapped on the smiley face and went onto the page where she needed my credit card. She thought I didn't see her do that I remarked that if I wanted to give her a good review, I would've done that myself. The lack of good service at this post office was stunning. I went to the Ballwin post office Saturday and they took all my boxes!! They couldn't believe how badly I was treated at the Chesterfield branch.

I drop off packages and they tend to never make it out of the post office and are in "Pre-transit" for a month until I receive a note from a customer that they have never received their package which unfortunately looks bad on me. Getting ahold of someone is near impossible as you are put in a waiting room over the phone for at least 30-45 minutes. I do not recommend this location at all.

They made me repay for the package again to ship it. They were over 20 people online and she was not doing anything to help the two people upfront. I felt terrible for them. PASSPORT SERVICE EXPERIENCE:…read more I missed the coveted online renewal period (after waiting my whole life for online renewal opportunities! lol), and found myself needing to renew my hence expired passport. I read up on everything that I needed to do ahead of time, so I felt that was prepared. However, I got to the window and as the PO clerk went through his checklist, he got me on one thing - the money order. Gah! Luckily, he stated that he could sell me a money order if I could pay with cash or debit card. No problemo! I paid the expedited fees and off my data went! This was done on 29Dec. I received my new passport on 10Jan! Wow! Efficiency! I actually went back to this location with my best friend who also needed a new passport. Since she was only 4 years old on her last passport, and that passport book was forever lost, she had to start over with a new passport. Her process was a little different. 1st - You HAVE to make an appointment. You can do this online via the USPS website. 2nd - documents. New passports require multiple proofs of citizenship/IDs along with copies, front and back, of the original copies. (I don't know why they need all that.) Generally, the original birth certificate with the seal, social security card, driver's license. Copies of each; front and back of driver's license. If you're a married person who has taken on the surname of your betrothed, bring the marriage certificate (to prove/support why your last name differs from that on your birth certificate) and a copy of the marriage certificate. My friend also got her photo taken here. She had one taken at CVS but she liked the post office photography better so she used that photo instead. (I wish I'd done the same, because mine is definitely fugly!) Again, the young man assisting us was very helpful through the entire process. I'll be bringing my daughter here next to ensure a pleasant passport experience for her.

Cody took care of us and could not have been more patient and kind with my entire family. He printed and made duplicates of everything for us. He could have easily seemed irritated since we were not well prepared for the appointment but he was amazing and great. Also he was honest with us in how long he thought our passports would take to get to us, therefore we did not pay extra to expedite them and we needed them in 7 weeks. I feel like all post offices are the same. You get what you get…read more I never had a bad interaction with anyone here but don't expect them to be overly friendly because they are not. They are there to do their job and educate what you need to ship your item, that's it. They don't care about their tone, just communicating the information you need. No one ever uses the number machine. It's just there for decoration I think. Just get in line and you'll see people scattered trying to fill out things they forgot or didn't know they needed. Its a bit bigger than most post offices so at least you can find a space to fill out your documents. I'll return because its the USPS.

We waited for an hour and finally we had to take matters into our own hands, we spoke with an employee and he was extremely rude, claiming we were late for our appointment. Nobody seems terribly unhappy to be there. They're genuinely kind. Lorenz, in particular, is consistently humorous and always helpful. They utilize the ever reliable Take-A-Number system, with a red paper tab dispenser just inside the entrance. As I usually have pre-paid labels, I often can sail in and out by simply dropping my package on the closest counter, after scanning it on the machine in the lobby. The one thing that remains a mystery, though I would venture guess that they would tell me if asked, is that the parking lot is almost always jammed - and there are like three patrons inside. My most educated guess is that it's overflow employee parking from the back lot? I go a bit out of my way to come here as I get the most consistent service, tbh!
