Highly recommend the pretzel as well. That and the Aperol Spritz were my go tos during our 3 visits over the week. Bartenders were friendly and worked through any line fairly quickly. Seems like every time we visit Avon, we end up coming here. Obviously it's a good sign. Also, how can you not have a tasty beer with German food. The ambience is typical bar with music in the background. The decor is not very German, more of a mountain bar style. They also have live music including open mic on Wednesdays. Always clean and tidy as well. The staff is always friendly regardless if you are frequent patron or just in once in a while. Once you order with them at the bar area, they will bring the order to your table of choice. As far as food, skip the "American" sandwich and go straight for a sausage. I've had most with no disappointment and if you can't decide get a sampler. Food is always delicious and locally sourced. The German potato salad is not very heavy on mustard, as you would think based on the menu description. This is such a cool, cute spot. I think Fridays they have live music. Even for a non beer drinker like me I lucked out and found a beer that I could totally enjoy. The Stiegl Grapefruit Radler. I can't believe I didn't leave a review after our visit in 2023. There are lots of good, even great, places to eat in the Vail valley. My son and I loved Ein Prosit. My sausage sampler was great: Smoked Beef, Elk Jalapeño Cheddar, Wild Boar with Apricots & Cranberry, and Antelope Rabbit & Habanero. My son's sampler included the elk, but then went with Currywurst, Buffalo Green Chile & Chipotle, and Duck Cilantro. We wanted as wide a variety as possible to share. Everything was so good, and there weren't any I would hesitate to get again. My favorites were the Antelope Rabbit and Habanero, and the Duck Cilantro. Service is quick, they have a good variety of beers. We enjoyed sitting outside since it was such a nice July day. This is a must-visit place. If you're not into exotic sausages, they have plenty of traditional sausages. I'm sure they're great, but hey, live a little! read more

After checking into the hotel, we wanted to explore Avon and have a drink. My partner and I have strong German ties, so when we saw Ein Prosit, we knew we had to go. The first disappointment was their beer on special for happy hour wasn't available. So, we ordered other beers. The second, and main disappointment, was the lack of service. The guy running the place may us feel like we were bothering him. It was one of those times when you question whether or not you should tip. Had we known service would get worse, we wouldn't have tipped. Heck, we wouldn't have stayed. We had ordered a pretzel with our beee. The pretzel was good, but the food runner really made it feel like she hated her job. Their kitchen closed at 8:30 on Saturday which is disappointing when their hours posted say they are open until 10pm. (We arrived at 8:40) We had really enjoyed our food at the Frisco location. Kerri and Scott are wonderful hosts. I love the cozy interior nestled in this huge shopping emporium in Frisco. I love when it's warm enough to sit outside, though we will sit outside even if it is cold. Best beer, brats, pretzels and sides anywhere. The mustards complete the whole thing. I realize they have sandwiches, but I'm too busy eating Brats to care. It's walk up service, with a teeny kitchen. This is a cute, cozy German style restaurant in Beaver Creek- they have a wonderful selection of beers and German food. On the day that we went in, there was live music, a few sweet dogs walking around! And plenty of other people enjoying drinks and good company. I had high hopes for this place. We were staying at the Sheraton nearby and this was a quick walk in the snow. They have a happy hour with super cheap wine, but I wouldn't recommend trying it. The beer was cheap too and hubs said okay. But, the food was not good. We tried a couple of different sausages but the elk was bland and the other was greasy. Delicious authentic German food in Avon! We came here after a hike it was around 4 and this place was packed. We ordered a pretzel and the sausage sampler. We got the smoked beef, veal, pheasant, and duck sausages. All of them were great. We especially enjoyed the duck assuage and the pheasant sausages. The pretzel was warm and fluffy. This portion of food was perfect for two people and I was stuffed. They have 13 types of mustard. In particular I was blown away by the homey mustard and I typically don't like honey mustard. The prosit mustard was also great. The garlic mustard was interesting and different. I love horseradish and I found that their horseradish mustard wasn't spicy enough. The cheese sauce was great. I've been to the Ein Prosit in Frisco multiple times and love that place; apparently they were both started by the same person but now owned separately. I absolutely love all the sausages they have - we always get a sampler platter to try a few different exotic ones, then a standard. Today we got a Prosit, pheasant with mushroom and Parmesan, venison with huckleberry and wild boar with apricot. They also always have such tasty mustards to try - we got a paper plate and put sweet and spicy Oktoberfest, honey mustard and Prosit. They also had curried ketchup, creole mustard, jalepeno mustard, among others. As a side, we got the cucumber salad which is always light and refreshing (although $5 for a side the size of a cup is a little overpriced). we ended up sitting outside but there is ample indoor seating and there was live music when we were there on a Sunday. The reason this place doesn't get five stars is hygiene concerns. Several patrons had tiny dogs with them, and one lady had her small dog ON the table inside ie his butt was touching the table. No one made her take the dog off which questions how clean this place is; that was honestly pretty off putting and disrespectful to other customers even if it wasn't terribly busy. read more
