Smoked Beef, Elk, Boar and Rabbit Sausages

I can't believe I didn't leave a review after our visit in 2023. There are lots of good, even great, places to eat in the Vail valley. My son and I loved Ein Prosit. My sausage sampler was great: Smoked Beef, Elk Jalapeño Cheddar, Wild Boar with Apricots & Cranberry, and Antelope Rabbit & Habanero. My son's sampler included the elk, but then went with Currywurst, Buffalo Green Chile & Chipotle, and Duck Cilantro. We wanted as wide a variety as possible to share. Everything was so good, and there weren't any I would hesitate to get again. My favorites were the Antelope Rabbit and Habanero, and the Duck Cilantro. Service is quick, they have a good variety of beers. We enjoyed sitting outside since it was such a nice July day. This is a must-visit place. If you're not into exotic sausages, they have plenty of traditional sausages. I'm sure they're great, but hey, live a little!

In town for the weekend and decided to stop at Ein Prosit for a late bite to eat. We weren't starving, so we decided to get the sampler of 4 sausages. All were delicious! We got the boar, venison, duck, and rattlesnake. I can't pick a favorite! They were all flavorful and really nicely done. We especially liked the free mustards - there were tons to choose from! There was also live music at the place next door, which we were able to enjoy while sitting on the patio. It was such a nice vibe! There were also a bunch of cute, well-behaved dogs on the patio. Service was quick and friendly, and there was tons of free parking out front (it's free for the first 0-3 hours). I would definitely go back!

After checking into the hotel, we wanted to explore Avon and have a drink. My partner and I have strong German ties, so when we saw Ein Prosit, we knew we had to go. The first disappointment was their beer on special for happy hour wasn't available. So, we ordered other beers. The second, and main disappointment, was the lack of service. The guy running the place may us feel like we were bothering him. It was one of those times when you question whether or not you should tip. Had we known service would get worse, we wouldn't have tipped. Heck, we wouldn't have stayed. We had ordered a pretzel with our beee. The pretzel was good, but the food runner really made it feel like she hated her job. We felt so uncomfortable, we ate and drank quickly, so we could get out of there and find another place to hang out. Two stars for the beer and pretzel, but we won't go back.

Kerri and Scott are wonderful hosts. I love the cozy interior nestled in this huge shopping emporium in Frisco. I love when it's warm enough to sit outside, though we will sit outside even if it is cold. Best beer, brats, pretzels and sides anywhere. The mustards complete the whole thing. I realize they have sandwiches, but I'm too busy eating Brats to care. It's walk up service, with a teeny kitchen. Ein Prosit is busy, get there before noon or you will wait, but the wait is so worth it. We come during EVERY visit to Summit County. It's a must. (Our friends all agree!!)

This is the place for German beer and delicious German food! The menu is limited but has a good range of traditional foods. The giant pretzel was our favorite. It has a lively atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Delicious authentic German food in Avon! We came here after a hike it was around 4 and this place was packed. We ordered a pretzel and the sausage sampler. We got the smoked beef, veal, pheasant, and duck sausages. All of them were great. We especially enjoyed the duck assuage and the pheasant sausages. The pretzel was warm and fluffy. This portion of food was perfect for two people and I was stuffed. They have 13 types of mustard. In particular I was blown away by the homey mustard and I typically don't like honey mustard. The prosit mustard was also great. The garlic mustard was interesting and different. I love horseradish and I found that their horseradish mustard wasn't spicy enough. The cheese sauce was great. The service bringing the food out was fast, the counter ordering was a bit slow. Overall such a cool place with great food. Highly recommend

The bar itself is gorgeous, with thoughtful attention to small details. The bar seating against the window rail is incredible and if it's a nice day, you'll find it like we did, with the accordion window panes tucked away. You can't find a better way to spend an afternoon in the city - their craft cocktails are creative and unexpected. The views to pair with that, along with great company - chef's kiss. We ordered a few drinks and soaked in the views. The staff checked on us often and were up to making a few "off menu" drinks - that wowed us. If you aren't seeing what you are looking for, ask for it. I bet you won't be disappointed.

The Lookout bar is located in The Westin and on the top floor with stunning views. We were first greeted by the host Hal who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I noticed Hal walking through the bar checking on guests and also assisting the servers as needed with drink and food orders. We were seated at the window which had stunning views of the local village and mountain. Our servers John and Augustina were excellent. They never left us waiting for service and continuously checked in on us. We ordered dirty martinis which were served nice and cold. The only negative about the martinis would be the glasses are smaller than what martinis at most other places would be served in so it is simply a smaller serving. However, the wine was a generous pour. For bites, we ordered the Pimento Cheese which was served warm with baguette. So tasty. The beef + blue toasts. This was okay but not our favorite. The burrata salad. Very refreshing and delicious. Since we were not staying at the Weston and had to valet, they were kind enough to validate our ticket. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a drink and experience the beautiful views and delicious drinks and small bites.

The woman at the station finished preparing a dozen oysters that had already been cracked open. Very nice visual presentation. She then wiped the shucking knife with a dry towel put the back in its place, folded the towel and wiped the board with it. Disposed of her gloves, took out the trash, replaced the trash bag, no hand washing, touched the same towel, put on new gloves, handled the trash can again. Rearranged some clean plates, prepped another order of oysters using same towel again wiping down it. She restocked the condiments wearing the same gloves (this was done a couple of times). Puts on fresh gloves to prepare a shrimp cocktail. Uses the same towel to wipe out the shrimp cocktail glass. Box of gloves is now left on the cutting board and towel again used to wipe cutting board. Shift change: she takes off her apron folding it setting it on the cutting board where the oysters had been while she talks to her coworker. Next out comes a little boutique shopping bag that also lands on the cutting board. Her replacement went on to shuck oysters on the same area of the board never giving it more than a wipe with a dry towel which he also used to handle oysters. My food and drinks were great, no seafood, and if not for what I watched this would have been a 4 star review. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with providing recommendations. We started off with the bread and fondue. The fondue was a big hit with our table, and the cheese was so tasty. The bread was also good, and had a nice unique taste. For mains I tried some of the following: -steak frites: delicious and cooked perfectly, and a huge portion of delicious fries -mussels: definitely a miss, and tasted a bit too salty and the sizes were pretty inconsistent -filet: amazing -mushroom ravioli: absolutely horrible, literally the worst ravioli I've ever had -cacio e pepe: sooo tasty, but tastes was more like carbonara vs a traditional cacio e pepe.
