We were on vacation in Avon and we heard of this place from our timeshare concierge and we decided to check it out while we were in the area. While waiting for our sausages to be brought to our table we were entertained with live music and it was wildly entertaining and explicit "musicwise" The sausages were delicious everyone at the table agreed so & we all enjoyed a pretty good beer. this is a great spot to go if you're looking to grab something simple to eat but delicious at the same time, there's not a lot of places like this in the area it's definitely something to check out. read more

Delicious! First time here had a sampler of sausages: Oktoberfest brat, smoked beef, Buffalo with green chili, Italian sausage, and some others. Also had the salat and potato salad and a pretzel with cheese. Everything was very good! I thought the pretzel cheese would be a hot melted dipping cheese, but it is more of a soft butter/cream cheese like spread and it's very tasty. The included mustard selections were just awesome as was the sauerkraut. I thought the prices were very reasonable and will definitely be back for more. What a totally unexpected pleasure it was to visit Ein Prosit! We are staying within walking distance and misunderstood what this place was. We thought we were coming for a beer before going out to dinner elsewhere. That did not happen. We stayed and have the best time! We are on a 2-1/2 (5,000 mile) road trip from northern California and Ein Prosit offered the best atmosphere, beer, and food we have had cumulatively. As an aside, we relied on Yelp reviews and went to at least 4 restaurant nearby that we felt were grossly overrated and, at best, average. We were skeptical since Ein Prosit had very good reviews but we were scratching our heads 4 times in Avon already. Ein Prosit was, if anything, under-rated! We had a total of 7 sausages that were all very good to outstanding. The beer was delicious. The apple strudel with ice cream was to die for. We thought the prices were very fair. While we were there a live band was playing in the parking lot. The place was very busy and lively. Great vibe and atmosphere. Wish we'd eaten here earlier in our one week stay so we could have returned. read more

My wife and I had a total of two sausages, 2 rolls, a paltry side of potato salad, and a smaller taste of gurken salad. We split a beer. Tab with tip was nearly $60! Not a value. Staff did not make eye contact; no welcome to the place. Staff made no attempt to dry off tables after a rainstorm. Live music was weak and very, uncomfortably loud. Seating was uncomfortable. We always go to the Ein Prosit in Avon so wanted to check out the Frisco location while we were in Breckenridge. We thought this location would be more spacious, but most of the space is actually a store so the restaurant itself is a tighter squeeze with limited seating. We got lucky and snagged a table just as the former party was leaving, but expect to wait a bit if you come, especially on the weekends/during the happy hour or dinner rush. I got the Hefeweizen, and my boyfriend was excited to see they had Delirium on tap. We ordered a soft pretzel and several different sausages to try - the pretzel was perfectly salted and so soft on the inside, and our favorite sausages were the jalapeño elk and cilantro duck. We liked that they had a plethora of options, ranging from "safer" choices like classic bison and beef to more exotic game. Everyone was able to find something they liked. I also liked how they had a variety of mustards for dipping sides (the spicy mustard is delicious) and enough sauerkraut to your heart's content. read more

The beer here is amazing. Great variety of true Bavarian beer. Dozen taps and they serve wine too. Weihenstephaner reminds me of drinking hefeweiss in Heidelberg Germany. Fond memories. Turns out our the bartender today, Jeremy, is the owner, so he was explaining why the different glass types have such a big impact on how the various beers taste. Had a pretzel, which was so fresh and tasty, with 5 or 6 kinds of mustard. The cheese is a must. Tons of sausage options from traditional to exotic, like antelope or wild boar. There's live music later tonight too. This place is super cool and has community tables, as if one was in Munchen, plus a fun deck area with more tables in the sun for summer time or sunny winter days. We got some sausage to cook at home on Monday 10/18. The server was helpful and asked us to help ourselves to the condiments. Food was good. Went back on Saturday 10/23 around 3pm to buy more sausages to cook at home. A different older lady took our order. Once we got our sausages, we went and helped ourselves with the condiments again. This time the lady asked us what we were doing and said we are not allowed to take the condiments. She said it was a "product" that you have to pay for. That is ridiculous. The condiments are placed in the open for customers to help themselves. They even place small to go sauce containers for customers to put the condiments in. I would give the food 4 stars. But due to the rudeness of that particular staff, I give this restaurant 2 stars. read more

We ordered the sausage sampler and picked elk, boar, antelope, and rattlesnack. It was fun to try out with the various mustards. The giant pretzel was good after we removed some of the salt. The sauerkraurt also seemed too salty. There is a 18% service charge for take out. We also ordered a reuben which was OK, but it did not have Russian dressing on it. We asked for potato salad as a side and found that we got sauerkraut instead. read more
