I've been to this location two times so far. They are doing okay despite construction. My most recent visit was for breakfast - excellent ratio of cream cheese on my everything bagel. Staff seemed nice and cheery for the morning. Only downside was I got charged more for a cheesy hashbrown than was posted on the menu board and the sign in front of the register. There was a long line (breakfast rush) so I didn't want to bother but would appreciate that being updated. Look forward to trying again! read more

Often light on the bagel inventory. The items I have had are bland or cold. I also do not appreciate that the credit card reader has been blocked off here in a way that forces you to tip. The 3 star rating is mainly due to this. Tips are for good service. I don't feel like tipping is necessary based on the service here. read more

There is an employee at this location that is extremely rude to customers. She actually told a lady requesting a senior citizens discount that she is being greedy for asking for that and that is how businesses go out of business. Well, the business is offering senior citizens a chance to have this discount... I do not believe any employee is in the right to say that a customer is greedy for taking advantage of that offer. She clearly made this woman feel uncomfortable and that is inexcusable. The woman was perfectly nice to the employee, but if that were me, I would've ensured this employee never spoke that way to someone again... part of me wishes I could've/would've intervened. Service like that is unacceptable and offensive not only to the person being talked to with no respect, but to everyone in the restaurant. I do not think I will be patronizing this location again. So this has been a staple in Mequon for a while. Unfortunately it has not been the same since Covid. This is a great location and was a great place to stop and eat a bagel and read the paper. I appreciate they stayed open during Covid and I appreciate staffing is hard......but COVID is over and they still won't let you sit at a table and enjoy your bagel. They have signs all over that reads "Dining room closed to our customers". Why? All I want to do is sit and eat my bagel while it is warm. Please open up the tables again. I wrote a review a very long time ago on this same store for poor customer service. The workers who took my order spent the whole time criticising my choice and saying how the smoked salmon is gross and they would never eat it. Haven't been back. Until today. Must be at least five years. I was in the area, really wanted a bagel, and asked myself if they could possible still be as bad as the last time. They weren't. They were far worse. I walked in on a Sunday around 9:30 and there were two people standing and waiting for their orders, I guess. No one acknowledged my presence. They have two guest tables set up right in front of the counter where I assume someone would normally order. Like a four foot barrier to keep people back from the counter. Or maybe that's where they put food to pick up? I don't know, because there is no obvious place to stand and order. There were at least five employees working behind the counter. None of them looked at me or spoke to me. I tried to stand in a place that would make it obvious I was there to order. Nothing. I walked over to the cooler to select cream cheese and returned to standing in an obvious, "I'm ready to order" location. Nothing. A man walked in and stood a few feet from me, forming a line waiting for service. Nothing. I waited another five minutes. Nothing. So I returned the cream cheese and drove to Big Apple Bagels in Grafton where I was immediately acknowledged and served. Still the worst customer service ever. Horrible. read more

I wanted a quick bagel on my way to work so I pulled off the highway to try Einstein Bros Bagels. There was a bit of a line but I expect that of a breakfast spot at 7:30am. What I didn't expect was how rude a particular staff member was to the customers. The first incident I noticed was a customer was not prepared with her order and was holding up the line as she decided what to get. The staff member made repeated comments that she was slowing things down and inconveniencing the rest of us. I personally didn't feel inconvenienced, I was the last of three people waiting. When the next individual ordered she started yelling to him about how he needs to approach the register. I think he was confused because there were two registers- behind one was the woman demanding he "step up and order" and behind the other was the woman who was previously taking orders. The woman later was chatting with a regular, mask off, while the rest of the staff busily filled orders. I also noticed there were business cards to call with feedback but the woman didn't have a name tag (despite other staff wearing name tags). I hate to rate this location poorly based on one staff member but I was really disenchanted by how she spoke to customers. The bagel was good and they had a decent selection. Their menu was pretty innovative including a bagel sandwich with brisket. I will give it some time and try this location again! read more

Best bagels in town. period. But They have switched to a different coffee, so I just go there for the bagels. They also used to have great treats. Now they don't. The crew doesn't seem as happy to be there. What's going on Bros? I gave them four stars for the bagels, because I used to like just sitting, drinking their coffee, and eating their bagels and bakery. Pay your people a living wage and maybe your business will thrive. Another business "cutting back" when new owners come in. Tsk Tsk and Tut-tut. Sad. Today I went to get my daughter lunch to bring to school and I was running late. I was very stressed and rushing to try to make her lunch period. I was checking out and realized that I left my wallet at home and had no way to pay for my order. CJ saw that I was panicked and quickly made my order and said dont worry about it, I got you He paid for my entire order and I told him I would go home and return to pay. He said do NOT worry about it it's on me. I was totally blown away by his kindness and did not stop thinking about it the whole day! In a world filled with stress, fear and anxiety, he restored and reminded me that there are still awesome caring people like CJ around. I have been here several times as it is the only one near me. Typically when I go in the service is good and speedy... but this time it was not so good. While I waited at the register these two ladies in the back were just jabbering away talking about who knows what. They looked at me and instead of helping, tucked away in the back out of sight. Now, I understand how the food service business works and am not mad they didn't help per se, but keep out of sight of the general public if you are not working. Otherwise, the gentlemen who did help was nice and while not as quick as I had come to expect it was still not a horrible experience. This place brings back memories of my high school days working as a baker at this location for 3 years. After 10 years of not going back, I finally caved in and went for breakfast with a co-worker before work the other week. CJ, the manager, is amazing. He knows everyone's name that is there, recommends great options, and overall super positive, and great guy to chat with when you are there. The general set up looks like the rest of the Einsteins that are out there yet it is the staff that makes this place shine. They are really attentive, come around and ask how your sandwich or bagel are, and generally care. Definitely stop in for an amazing breakfast sandwich. read more

Quick, affordable, DELISH, and lots to choose from, Einstein's bagels make for a fulfilling start to a hectic day. I've used them for catering on several occasions, too. Ordering is easy, dependable, and the food is packaged in a way that is professional and presentable. What I really appreciate is they move the line along very quickly in the morning. This always helps especially if you're running behind in the morning, yet still need to grab breakfast. Love their sausage and egg sandwich on an asiago bagel. I have been to this store many times and usually service is good and employees are polite and this morning at 6:30 stopped by to get a dozen bagel for work and had the worst experience of all time with customer service. So if you have to stop by just make sure Shueta(not sure of spelling) is not helping you. She said"I don't know why people get mad at me!"I said "well,if a few parole get upset at you that means usually you don't understand what they are asking for " so she said"no more talking" OMG this kind of talking to a customer in a local family place shouldn't be tolerated. I like this place. I used to go to the grocery store, buy all the bagel goodies and take it home to prepare for everyone. Not only is it easier, but they actually do a good job with all that goes into a bagel sandwich. The place was clean and staff patient for the early Sunday riser! My coworker and got breakfast here. I got a 9-Grain bagel with veggie cream cheese. Not that I needed it, but, there was a THIN layer of cream cheese on it. Hardly anything. My coworker got a bagel sandwich and it was so gross she tossed it after taking a couple bites. Last time I went here I got a thintastic bagel and asked for it to be toasted and it was barely warm and pretty disgusting. There are other, better quality bagel places around--go there. read more

This restaurant is dirty, run down, and has terrible customer service. They didn't give me my full order, then they tried to argue with me that she only charged me for part of the order. My bill was almost $20 for a sandwich, a bagel, and drinks. Really? you didn't charge me? I went to the Einstein Bros Bagels store on 10950 N Port Washington Rd, Mequon, WI 53092, on Monday May 8, 2017 and encountered terrible customer service by a female employee with short brown hair and glasses and wearing a red shirt. I walked into the bagel store just getting off a busy shift as a server myself. No one was in the bagel store, and the female employee huffed and rolled her eyes and said "YES". She was clearly upset that she had to wait on a customer. They don't close for another 2 hours, what's her problem? Don't plan on returning anytime soon. read more

I come here all the time and way too often, employees are way too into their conversations to pay attention to their customers. The food also lacks consistency as too often it's overcooked. Really wish they'd realize people come in there for a bagel on their way too work and pick up the pace a little. But they lack in speed AND in service. It's a shame because it's closer than Brueggers for me. I'll try to update this again if things don't improve. read more

I am giving this location 1 star because zero is not an option. I stopped in on Friday morning placed my order. When I got home 30 minutes later, not a single thing was right. I ordered 4 bagels and not one of them were right. The service here SUCKS including the @ssh0!= management. I will never go back. read more
