Date of visit: April 24, 2026 Was looking for some place new for a monthly get together with a friend and when this place popped up on OpenTable, I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. We sat outside, which was probably a bit of a mistake as the sun was going down and we were not sat at a table with a heater and one was not offered to us. Chloe was very friendly, sharing the story of the cat that the restaurant adopted, but was a bit absent for much of the meal. Speaking of the meal, it was very good: - Ham sliders. Fantastic! The only thing that could have made them better was if they used Honeybaked Ham. - Burger sliders. My friend said they were excellent and the size was good for being a slider. - Bread service. Very good, served warm with a great balsamic and olive oil that was just a bit too small for the amount of bread offered. Not sure what the vibe of this place was supposed to be. Staff was very young (high schoolers?), music choices were off-putting for a chill dinner experience, and the menu was confusing (Mediterranean, Asian fusion, Spanish, etc.). There were high points with the food - steak, watermelon salad - but the rest was mid overall. And the plating was terrible - the bang bang salmon looked like dog food, and the asparagus was soaked in a thick, gloopy sauce. Why?! Went here for dinner with one and f my friends for dinner on a Friday night. I made reservations online. Probably didn't need them as they were not terribly busy at 6pm. That said it was simple to do online so better safe than sorry. We got there five minutes before Happy Hour ended, but our waitress rushed to our table to make sure we could enjoy the special for our first round. We both got Paloma's. This was the best Paloma I've ever had. It was crisp and refreshing. I highly recommend if you love tequila like I do. We ordered the arugula salad and grilled asparagus to start, but boy was I tempted to order several of the cheese meat bread section. Sadly my stomach can only hold so much food so I had to choose carefully. Next we got the blue cheese steak bites and the BBQ shrimp skewers. Both were delicious and I'm still amazed at how fast they came out. I would loved to have tried so much more but we got full. This would be a great place to go with a group and try literally everything on the menu. They also have an unlimited tapas options for $46 a person, but everyone hates the table has to get it. I really want to try this! Our server was Cat, and she was outstanding! Courteous and friendly, also helpful and speedy! Remember above where she rushed to our table to make sure we caught the end of happy hour? That was all Cat! She also answered all of our questions, and we had several. She was great! Union house serves American style tapas. Their menu had a great selection of cheese, meat, veggies, and seafood. We also were there during happy hour which was 3 dollars off cocktails and 2 dollars off beer. They also have an all you can eat option which we might have selected if we had been hungrier! The atmosphere was aesthetic with plenty of outdoor seating behind the building with greenery and lights. Indoor was a darker environment with plenty of bar seating. Overall the food was great quality but in my own opinion lacking a bit in flavor variety and depth and just not quite my taste. The flank steak and baked goat cheese were very good and stood out though. Would order those a second time. Definitely worth checking this place out and could be a better experience when going with more people so more dishes could be ordered read more

Stopped in to use a drink coupon and I had a delightful experience! It was an early evening on a Sunday and at first we were unsure if the place was open, but it was! A handful of people were seated at the bar and we were greeted by a hostess who got us seated on the back patio(which is super cute). Our waitress greeted us shortly with water glasses and a pitcher and provided drink menus. Their cocktail list was impressive and fun! They even offer a variety of mocktails that looked refreshing. We were seated at 7pm (had a reservation), didn't see our waiter until 7:15. At 7:25 put our drink order in. At 7:35 we were told the kitchen was backed up and we couldn't put in our food order yet. At 7:45 we put in our food order. At 8:10pm I asked our waiter how long they anticipated until our food would be out, we were told another 30 minutes.. at 8:45 we got our cheese plate. We asked for the rest of our food to be packaged up to go. This was an insane wait to be sitting at our table for almost 2 hours and not receive any food. We were not the only table. This brunch was a such great experience. First off it was our first trip to Washington Street in Cedarburg and we were taken back by the amazing charm. Felt like I was in Mayberry and we were about to see Andy, Opie, Barney, and Aunt Bee walking down the street. As for Union House it was a fun brunch experience having a charcuterie board breakfast. The Mimosa and Bloody Mary were made well (no skimping on the spirits) and the Bloody Mary came with a pancake garnish, how perfect is that for a brunch garnish. The charcuterie board brunch was fantastic! Scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, and all kinds of fruit was fun to eat/share as it had something for everyone. We have certainly had more sophisticated brunch items but not more fun to eat and talk over. Our server was excellent as well. What a nice place. We went at Christmas time. The decorating was festive and cozy. It was super crowded and that just added to the holiday vibe. We tried several of the tapas plates - Deviled eggs, baked goat cheese, turkey meatballs, cheese plate. All very good. The only jarring notes were the deafening noise level and the not-so-friendly welcome we got when we entered. I realize it was really busy and people can be rude. A much needed craft cocktail bar for Cedarburg, slinging delicious drinks at reasonable prices plus (and this is a huge plus) warm cookies! We walked in on a Sunday after dinner and were greeted by the host and bartender. The place was surprisingly quiet, lucky us, at the service was perfectly attentive. The space has a nice ambience with dim lighting and music that hit out tastes. We were asked by the host if we wanted water and informed that menus are accessed on your phone via a QR code at the table as a pandemic precaution. The menu offers a wide array of classics made anew. I'll say, we were confused by the city names that each drink goes by. I didn't realize Seattle was known for their daiquiris... Anywho, we ordered the draft "Nashville" paloma ($10) made with El Tesoro tequila, grapefruit, lime, and dehydrated grapefruit slice, as well as the handcrafted "New York City" Manhattan ($11) made with Woodford Reserve, vermouth, Bittercube cherry bark vanilla bitters and Luxardo cherry, and some warm chocolate chip cookies ($2 each). We were hoping to try a variety of cookies but they were almost sold out for the day. The paloma was delicious, the only thing I would have changed is for it to have a salted rim. The Manhattan was spot on, but almost too classic. Would have preferred for more oak, perhaps switching from the standard Woodford Reserve to the lesser known Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. The cookies?? Ooey gooey goodness! While we drank we watched the bartendar make batches of draft cocktails and had a lively discussion on the philosophies on his cocktail program. Came for dinner on a Saturday night with a reservation and had high expectations but sadly was not super impressed by Union House. We did not get any drinks and only ordered food, so that was probably our mistake. I was excited for the tapas styled plates, and we ordered some fresh bread, the cheese and fruit board, bourbon meatballs, baked goat cheese, and pork tenderloin sliders. The fresh bread was cold which is not what we were expecting, and it just seemed like average french bread from the grocery store. It was also the same as the bread that came with the cheese board and baked goat cheese. The cheese board came with a decent amount of fruit but just a few slices of manchego cheese which was a bit disappointing. The bourbon meatballs were drowned in a sauce that was way too sweet and reminded me of a storebought barbeque sauce. The pork tenderloin sliders were the best thing that we ordered and were done pretty well. Overall, I would not recommend coming solely for the food, but it seems like their drinks are the star of the show here with a food menu of elevated bar snacks to accompany. read more

We had reservations in Mother's Day evening (4 of us) which my husband made several days ahead of the weekend and he agreed to the non-refundable $10 per person deposit. Upon arrival we were told that some menu items were no longer available because they were "changing over the menu on Wednesday." Once we were sat, the server told us the same and reviewed the items not available, which included: anything chicken, the pork tenderloin, soup, meatballs, tuna, or steak. So, that left a very minimal menu with virtually no protein options. We ordered a cheese and meat board (which we were told to choose 3 cheeses or meats-meaning one meat and two cheeses, etc) and it took 45 minutes to get to the table. We did receive our salmon small plates and goat cheese app. My daughter did get her sliders (2). Thereafter, we were told that the shrimp we ordered (which was available upon ordering) was gone and we never received our burrata and at this point we asked them to cancel the burrata and decided to leave. We left hungry. We left feeling awful for the poor server who was left to deliver the news of items not arriving on time or at all. She was visibly embarrassed and could not apologize enough. We ended up having our unreceived items removed from the bill and then the GM took 50% off the bill. We did tip the server off the pre-50% off bill because it was not her fault. Shame on the owners and GM for keeping your restaurant open on a day when customers make reservations expecting to celebrate a day/holiday and when you are aware of the fact that you can't fulfill even half of your menu. If you are transitioning to a new menu there are better ways to do this. Having worked in the food industry, I have seen restaurants convert to a new menu seamlessly with proper planning. Not sure we will be back and that is too bad because the menu looks great (if it was all available) and we believe in supporting local establishments. read more
