First impression: very easy parking, huge bistro with plenty of seating, and easy ordering. I ordered a veggie wrap with avocado and a berry smoothie to-go. Everything was ready in about 5 minutes and it all tasted good! The staff was also friendly and helpful. The smoothie was very refreshing on this 90 degree day and the wrap was flavorful with the red pepper hummus. I have to admit, ordering both the wrap and the smoothie for myself was a lot but I was really hungry and had skipped breakfast. Overall, a good experience! Would definitely come back.

Just a mug of tea with flat warm milk. So this time I took my drink back and talked to the barista. I showed her the drink, and she acknowledged that it definitely was not very creamy or foamy. But here is the part that really floored me. She said that they use an "auto steamer" (which is a steaming and frothing device used by larger coffee chains) and that there was nothing they could do about this situation. Seriously? They then just looked at me with blank stares. Totally bizarre for a small local shop that considers itself to be unique and focused on quality.

This particular location has plenty of space for different size groups. You can choose between the downstairs area, an upstairs space, or a nicely appointed outdoor patio. The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The baristas are usually high quality, but occasionally you will get someone who is either in training or using their own techniques. Today was a good example of that challenge. My usual London Fog Tea Latte was a surprise. You can check out the pictures. Whoever made it steeped the tea in the cup and then poured the steamed milk over the top, instead of removing the steeper and then adding the milk. No worries. I went back and they were happy to fix it. The reworked one was a bit cooler than I like, but the texture was much better. The bakery here is good too. There is a nice selection, though it does not taste as fresh as if it were made on site. I always ask to have bakery items warmed up, which I think improves the taste.

The place is small, and nicely furnished, with some natural light coming through the front and rear entrances. The server was friendly and did a great job to answer my questions. (thanks Emily). This is not your typical coffee shop or cafe. There are some very interesting drinks and food items, that you will not find anywhere else. I typically get a hot Tea Latte (London Fog or Chai Latte), but they don't offer those. I was initially disappointed but I quickly got over it. I ended up getting the Creme Brulee Croissant, and a Ancient Brown Sugar Tea. Let's first talk about the Croissant, truly amazing. Like a Creme Brulee (which I love) it has a layer of caramelized sugar on top. The taste and texture was amazing. The Brown Sugar Tea, was very good, but very sweet. I skipped the boba part (tapioca pearls), but might try it next time. The place was quiet and cozy. Some other customers came in and were either working or having quiet conversations. The staff is always extremely friendly, helpful, and generous, and the food orders I've gotten (normally the sausage breakfast sandwich) always come out hot and delicious. The workers at the drive-thru window oftentimes see my dog with me and offer a pup cup, and he loves the attention they give him. Overall, this is easily my favorite chain coffee shop in the area due to the quality of the coffee/food I get, the friendliness of the staff, and the overall ambiance of the shop itself.
