This has to be the worst franchised location I have ever been a customer at. Never toast my bagel on request nor receive the bagel of my choice. Now instead of using my credit they charged my CC for full amount. Can't order ahead so unable to use rewards. Don't bother with customer service they can do nothing because it's franchised. Drive thru or walk in it doesn't matter; your clerk will take little interest in helping you after telling you that they are out of the first four bagels you've selected I tried to hurry the process by asking her which bagels they do have....,she thought I was being facetious. I finally settled on two potato bagels to go, split with cream cheese. Ten minutes later, I tried to tract the order down. The cashier was now distracted with her nails and in animated conversation with two other employees. When I did get her to look my way, she said the "puller" is getting my order. Ten minutes later my name was called. I grab the bag and headed to the door . Two cold, not split bagels. No cream cheese. Never going again!! read more

Came in on 8/23 @ noon. The employees were great, however the manager on staff was terrible. Horrible customer service, making employees do everything while she didn't lift a finger. Her attitude was very off putting. The two employees working had great attitudes and I was very impressed with their services. I just thought it should be known how rude the manager acts towards them and even customers. read more

Stopped by last week for box of bagels, friendly yet busy staff chose assorted flavors for me & smears. Very big hit with my group, every flavor fresh & delicious. Coffee very well brewed. Will be there often. Nice find!! read more

Okay food, but be prepared for extremely slow and inefficient service. Not sure if they just don't staff enough for the morning rush or if I've caught them on bad days, but I've been to this location 3 times now and waited for a minimum of at least 15 minutes (27 in the drive thru) for just a bagel with cream cheese. Not toasted. Just cold. And somehow it still never comes out right. read more

This was my first time in - the cashier didn't seem to want to be here and offered no help - the food was decent - the bathroom was deplorable (i felt dirtier after being in there, but i had to pee.) It makes you wonder about the overall cleanliness. I doubt i will be back if nothing changes. read more

Well let's see slow service, disorganization, not having what I normally order, coffee empty that I like, cream pitcher empty, order wrong when it finally gets to you. I've been to lots of locations threw out Florida and never had any of the issues. They need to get it together, it's a good concept restaurant when it's run property. We love Einstein Brothers and we have been regulars at this branch for several years. We tend to order the same favorites each time whether in the drive-thru (which has always been great with both accuracy, timely delivery of our order, and cheerful greetings); or, ordering at the counter. There is typically great consistency at Einstein Brothers and you can count on good food and good service. Today, however, was so disappointing. We ordered our favorites but the girl taking the order changed it from what we ordered to a different order. When we brought it back to the counter, she rolled her eyes and stomped over to the makers to tell them we did not like the order, which was not true, we just wanted it made the way we always order it...tomato free. They handed it back a few minutes later and we said thank-you. Once back at the table, it became obvious that they had just pulled the tomatoes off and given us back the same wrong order. There was tomato pulp and seeds still present on the cream cheese. (Had it been my bagel I would have just eaten it anyway... However, it was "gross" to the person in my family who hates tomatoes...) I returned to ask if they could remake the bagel so there were no tomatoes on it. The counter girl was again huffing and rolling her eyes. I said we were regulars and ordered this all time without any problems. She said, "We are under new management!" Which I am not sure explained satisfactorily why we were unable to get the bagel made the way we ordered it and always have ordered it. The food was tasty once we got our corrected order and we have never had that problem here before, or at any other Einstein Brothers branch. I am not sure if it is just one rude new employee, or that there is new management and this will become a trend. But I had to rate this branch a low score for getting the order wrong and then treating us very rudely when asking them to remake/correct the order. Errors sometimes happen. I have gotten the wrong order before in fast food service but typically once you let the server know your order wasn't correct, they fix it quickly and politely with an apology for the mix-up. No fuss. No drama. Just simple good service and error correction. That was not the case this visit to Einstein Brothers counter/register. Super disappointing service recovery from a business we have been fans of for many years. New management hopefully will not mean a continuing decline in what has always been a great place to eat. read more

I got the salmon bagel to go. This is a treat for me, so I was excited. It was no good! The salmon looked like it was from a can, there were no capers, and the veggies were cut into small pieces instead of slices. Unlike any bagel with lox I've seen! read more

My wife and I love Einstein Bros, but since moving to Tyler, we have had a negative experience every time we went. First time, my wife and her mother were served cold coffee, and waited 45 minutes for breakfast sandwiches they ended up having to leave without due to a business appointment. The more recent time, today, after leaving the gym I got 4 bagels and 2 tubs of Schmear (which cost 4 dollars a piece, which is a tad absurd they don't offer smaller serving sizes) and they failed to give me my Schmear, which was a higher dollar value than the bagels that I did actually receive. The bagels were good, but not worth two consecutive trips with mistakes from the staff. I'll find a different place to get my breakfast food. read more

Just made my last trip to Einsteins. When I questioned employee as to why they are now charging $1.49 for plain bagel, she said it's been like that for 4 years. Not true. Bagels are smaller and less tasty. Lenders Bagels from the supermarket are better. read more

Quick, efficient, and decent. Einsteins is not my first pick for a breakfast sandwich, but it was decent nonetheless. I ordered an egg white sandwich on a bagel, the sauce was clumpy, the cheese was sparse, and the sheer fact that I was in Texas and requested no meat was mind boggling to them. this place needs some better management or help or something..... I use doordash and they can never help the door dashed out and make sure they put everything with the order.. I ordered sweet tea one time and didnt get it so I called just to tell them and i very rudely got. "we are out and don't have time to make it"... I tried to call right after an order was placed to not have the cream cheese put on a sandwhich for a kid and "the order is already started so sorry I can't change that"... and not politely either.. now I order 2 tubs of cream cheess and a couple extra bagels, no tubs of cream cheese so I call and get told that's the dashers responsibility to grab it themselves... like WHO is going to know that????? ur the one that prepared it.. and cause it sits in the fridge u don't want to take it out.. well I've seen that they hand the dasher the order.. u couldn't have had some common sense and said by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sir, there are 2 tubs of cream cheese on that order would u mind grabbing them right there.. we try not to do they stay cold... this place literally sucks.. read more

My sons car broke down in their parking lot on Tuesday evening, and we had a tow truck schedule to pick up the car Wednesday morning, and the staff wrote a nasty note an put on the car, and broke the windshield wriper on the car. the car was in a parking spot, out of the way, and was only in their parking lot for less than 24 hours. read more

Einsteins is a commercialized version of a New York Jewish deli set in a small town in East Texas where they have no knowledge of such places. The bagels are only fair renditions of the popular Jewish bread, but even so, they are the best to be found in Tyler. They have a wide assortment of bagels and their associated adornments like cream cheese (plain and flavored) and lox (smoked salmon) which are of good quality. Good stuff even on a fair bagel makes the overall experience nice if prepared to your liking and delivered promptly. Unfortunately, the service is very spotty and after visiting this place semi-regularly for over a year, it seems they have a high employee turnover rate which contributes to the occasional hideous level of service. Catch them on a not too busy day with the "A" team in house, and you are likely to have a pleasant experience. Visit on a busy day when Larry, Curly and Moe are working, and you will wait 30 minutes for a simple bagel and it will not at all resemble what you ordered. Due to the lines and overloaded staff on these days, be prepared to eat whatever it is they bring you. Otherwise you will be there for a long time. The coffee is very good and refills are free. If you own an Einsteins travel mug you can get refills anytime for about $1.25. On busy days the staff just can't seem to keep the coffee pots filled or cream in the flasks. Be prepared to wait in line, again, to tell someone they are empty, and wait even longer for someone to fill them. Go to Einsteins only if they are not busy or when you are in an especially passive mood, otherwise watch your blood pressure. 3 1/2 stars in my opinion if they can ever manage to fix their employee problems. Otherwise, 3 stars at best on their good days, 2 on the bad days. read more

A+! I never liked bagels before I tried this place, but now I love them! Their bagels are so fresh and soft, and they toast them perfectly! They have so many different varieties, there is something for everyone. The workers are always friendly, too. It's a great place for a quick bite if you're in a hurry (service is fast), and they have free wifi, so if you have time to hang around, that's nice too. : ) read more

The service was the worst I've had anywhere. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the food was delicious. It took 45 minutes to get our simple order of a toasted bagel, a bagel with Nutella and banana, and a breakfast sandwich with egg and chorizo. Another customer got her food after 45 minutes as well, and she had to ask them to microwave it because it was cold. The trashes were overfilled, the hot chocolate I got tasted like lukewarm milk, and the attitude of the employees was not apologetic, rushed, or kind in any way. They looked like they were walking through molasses they were so slow. Very disappointed in this site, as I've been to numerous Einstein's in the past. Will not return to this one again. read more

We got out pumpkin cluster right away but got our coffee 5 minutes later and it was made wrong :( have had there bagels a lot before and they are great. My wife and I used to love to come to Einstein's when they first opened. The staff was very friendly and the food was great! I'm not sure if they are under new ownership or management now, but the staff is very rude and the food is terrible. The bathrooms are always disgusting. The men's restroom hasn't had a soap dispenser on the wall for months! We went with a friend of ours and, after waiting forever for our food, our friends fruit cup had mold in it. I took it back and asked for another, and it did as well. I've tried to give it multiple chances to get back to what it used to be, but I'm done! They have a good location and good business idea, but very poor execution. read more

This is my favorite study stop in Tyler! Great Bagels and sandwiches, awesome coffee, friendly atmosphere. It appears there is at least one morning Bible study men's group in the week, lots of post shopping conversation tables, students and free-lance learners with lap tops open, people conversing table to table. For all that it's not a noisy place, and empties out in waves. I think the service has is very good, and those giving negative reviews really had experiences way off the norm for Einstein's. I don't even remember what I had, but it was vegetarian-friendly & I liked it. They have other good vegetarian-friendly selections on the menu, as I have seen at other establishments (like in the Houston airport terminal). The atmosphere was also nice, since they weren't too busy at the time, & it didn't take long for them to get my order ready. They also have free wifi, just select the "connect" button on the login screen that pops up. The only complaint I would have about this place is that I wish they could extend their hours of operation until 10 or 11 (not just 6), since I'd like to be able to come back after work to pick something up here to go for my drive back to Athens (but not sure if they would have a problem staffing it that long).
