It's been a while since we have visited el abuelo, it was delicious and can always appreciate and enjoy homemade corn tortillas and salsa I enjoyed chorizo con huevo plate. I was also a fan of the potatoes vs traditional rice. The Waiter was nice and friendly and offered coffee refill.

Customer service has been great. This is the 3rd time i have been here, and food has always been delicious. Today I ordered several soups, and carne en su jugo. That was delicious and was packed very carefully. I appreciate that. Never had any issues. Food is hot and fresh.

    Delicious queso fundido

Went on a sunny Sunday at noon. The service was so-so. It took about 10 minutes to be acknowledged that we were waiting to be seated, but when we were seated our server was kind. The food was good. My favorite was the queso fundido. It was cute to see that they brand the tortillas with the restaurant name. They have no AC, so it is warm in the summer.

Came for a lunch meeting with a client. It's probably as good as any number of the very similar places in San Fernando. The menu offers nothing unexpected - it's what you knew would be there. Same with the food. Chips and salsa are ok but not great. I had a quesadilla with an addition of carne asada. It was OK. The guac and sour cream on the side was very necessary for a pop of flavor. My client had an enchilada combo plate. It looked like any enchilada combo plate you would get at any American Mexican place in the US. He said the rice was unusually good. There is a free parking lot in the back of the restaurant. Now that is nice! And it's what I remember most - so there you have it. Not a bad meal at all, just OK.

Everything came out fresh and packed with flavor. The tacos were loaded with perfectly seasoned meat, topped with fresh onions and cilantro, and paired with some seriously good salsas. The grilled veggies and sides were just as good, and even the beans were on point. You can tell they care about quality in every bite. We also grabbed some drinks and everything complemented the meal perfectly. Portions were solid, prices felt fair, and the overall vibe was just great. Honestly one of the best Mexican food experiences I've had in a while. Definitely coming back and bringing more people with me next time.

The inside is small, enough for a few small parties-with a cute little patio outside. I wanted something more unique than everyone else's tacos. They serve theirs with pickled onions, which adds a lovely freshness to it. I had an asada vampiro...there is a lovely, almost Smokey flavor to the meat. And no gristle! I also had the chicken chulada...it was unique! The chicken was salsa good, not fatty, which is imperative for me! I also got rice and beans on the side, my husband said the beans were just like his grandmas! I'll be back for sure!

The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming, and exactly where you want to be on a hot summer day. The seafood was incredibly fresh and refreshing. I ordered the campechana kora, and my husband had the Aguachiles, both were absolutely delicious and perfect for the heat. What really made the experience special was the staff. They were so kind, patient, and welcoming. My husband has been practicing his Spanish, and instead of making him feel self-conscious, they were incredibly encouraging and sweet with him. It made the whole meal feel even more authentic and enjoyable. Great food, wonderful service, and an atmosphere that makes you forget you're just minutes from home. I can't believe it took me this long to find Ceviches, but it definitely won't be six years before my next visit!

Parking was easy to find, which was a plus. The ambiance was casual, relaxed, and family-friendly. They have multiple TVs throughout the restaurant, and during my visit, they were showing a soccer game. I always like it when a restaurant broadcasts sporting events, even if it means the place sometimes gets very packed. I was really looking forward to trying their shrimp ceviche, but to my disappointment, they had run out by the time I arrived. I decided to go with my backup option instead: the camarones a la diabla. Camarones a la diabla is a dish consisting of shrimp cooked in a spicy red chile sauce. This restaurant also serves it with rice, toast, and a side of vegetables. As the name suggests, the shrimp are supposed to be spicy. As a spice enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for the best spicy dishes. The shrimp were cooked well, but they had a sweet taste. It almost seemed as if they had used ketchup in the sauce to tone down the heat. I'm honestly not a fan of mixing sweet with spicy, at least when it comes to protein. The vegetables that came with the dish were soggy and flavorless. The rice was okay but could have been better. The toast was pretty good, it was buttery, garlicky, and crispy. Overall, this dish wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the best. The service during my visit was good. My server was attentive and helpful. He frequently stopped by to check if everything was okay. Overall, this experience didn't turn out exactly as I had expected, but it wasn't a bad experience by any means. I might return one day to try their shrimp ceviche.
