    Side order Biscuit & Gravy

Lola's was a great stop on the way to the Sylmar Discovery Cube. Cute decor. Bright country modern farmhouse feel. I had two small kids with me, so the great service was a standout. Quick to take drink orders and bring kids menus with crayons:) Order: Chorizo burrito - very good, tomatillo not too spicy Strawberry and banana pancakes. These were dense and cakey, but also tasty. The kids loved them and they were filling. Just don't get these if you're hoping for super light and fluffy flapjacks, you'll be disappointed. Kids pancakes looked unappetizing. Did not order. Biscuits and gravy - uneventful, light biscuit, but kinda hard to mess this one up. I saw earlier photos with a lot more sausage and a browner, less white sauce, indicating maybe a recipe change? It's definitely more like a box recipe taste now. Parking is a bit rough out front at brunch time, so prepare to park on a side street and walk a block or two. Not terrible, but I did note this with two small kids. Overall, recommend if you are already in the area.

2nd time coming here, we came in during lunch hour it wasn't to busy. We got seated right away and got served right away. Lola's kitchen is a nice breakfast/lunch restaurant, it's nice and clean. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch here. Thank you to everyone at Lola's kitchen...

Finally checked out Lola's kitchen for breakfast. Came in with some friends/ family visiting. It is a smaller place so had to wait about 20-30 mins before being sat. Staff were all very welcoming, easy street parking. We ordered hot chocolates, breakfast burritos, breakfast sandwiches, and I opted for the biscuits and gravy with eggs. Everything was delicious, I think I would prefer the eggs on the side rather than on top of the biscuits, but either way a good cozy breakfast spot!

My favorite restaurant in San Fernando! I absolutely love their breakfast burritos--they are always delicious. The service provided by Abigail is amazing. She is very attentive, friendly, and always makes sure customers are well taken care of. Highly recommended!

Nice small town vibe, the decor is attractive yet homey. The wait staff is super friendly and despite being busy thay were most attentive. But I'm certain you want to know about the food. I had a fried breakfast burrito and it was the best I've had in ages. The homemade tomatillo salsa is epic, fresh and flavorful. My wife had their CFS with potatoes, gravy, scrambled eggs, and a biscuit, she loved it. Their coffee is very good as well, the perfect breakfast blend. I love Lola's Kitchen, a great little eatery.

A small, cute cozy small family restaurant in San Fernando on McClay. Our waitress was great, friendly, and attentive. Now, for the food, it was presentable. I ordered a Chicken Club Sandwich. I was given the choice of having the chicken grilled or fried, but I stayed with grilled. The chicken tasted like it was from a package, boiled, and then pan grilled (flavorless). The bread was tasty, buttery thick bread, but oily. I liked that they serve steak fries. My wife ordered the 6 piece fried buffalo wings meal. They were tasty, buffalo sauce tasted homemade, and the wings were larger than most other places. Also served with steak fries and side of mac n cheese. Breakfast ONLY served on Sundays - Grr. They use Clover for transaction. There is a Clover app, but they are not on the list of providers.

After dropping off our car for service, we went hunting for food, and Yelp led us straight to Lola's Kitchen. And listen... Lola did not come to play. The vibe is cozy-casual, the kind of place where you instantly know the food is about to hug your spirit. We were first-timers in this part of the Valley. I was torn between the Country Fried Steak and the Biscuits & Gravy, but I trusted my higher self (and my appetite) and went with the CFS. Best decision of the day. That steak came out like a golden, crispy treasure, the crust was perfect, the meat was tender, and the gravy?? Baby, that gravy tasted like Lola whispered affirmations into it while stirring. Rich, seasoned, beautiful. The potatoes were diced so evenly and cooked beautifully. Nice golden brown. My husband ordered the Breakfast Burrito, chimichanga style, and all I can say is... magnificent. This thing was LOADED. Eggs, cheese, potatoes, sausage and speaking of sausage, whatever brand they use needs a trophy. Flavorful, juicy, everything you want wrapped in a tortilla and then straight-up fried. A masterpiece. Did we stop there? Of course not. We got the French Toast, because balance. Sweet, fluffy, perfectly cooked. Overall, this is a lovely little breakfast gem. I'd 100% come back when I'm in the area and next time I'm tackling those biscuits & gravy too.

(+) Nice spot. Breakfast burrito was great, deep fried is the way to go. Crispy and delicious. Good salsa verde on the side. (+) Great service, no issues (+) A few tables outside, nice to dine al fresco (+) Fresh squeezed OJ was $7 but really nice and definitely fresh (+) Clean bathroom, funny signs on the wall.

Cute place to eat breakfast! The food was delicious & service was great! If you're looking for a cute place to eat breakfast, eat here and support local businesses! I ordered a breakfast croissant with turkey and it tasted so fresh. The vanilla iced coffee is also good and I sneaked a sip of my boyfriend's hot coffee which was also really good!

My Wrap was very good the food was 4/5 for me! The turkey pesto wrap is what I ordered and could have had better seasoning but it was still pretty tasty. I'm mad that I did not make it for their breakfast because that's what I wanted to try! Next time I will for sure! The service was not that great to me I give it 2 or 3 out of 5. No one never came back to check on me to see if I needed anything. Also, it was very hard to understand one of my severs and I don't think she could understand me, but the other server was decent and explained the best wrap to get. The ambiance is cute and very clean. Cute lil breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot. They even sale mimosas, margaritas, and hard seltzers! I will come back to try the breakfast! I want to try the protein pancakes for sure! Plenty of street parking! -Marshay

The service is great. Very attentive and very lively and homey. Our server was kind and we received our food after 15-20 minutes. The breakfast burrito was delicious, I split it with my mom. We enjoyed it. The pancakes however...weren't the best I've had. They are similar to ihop pancake quality. They tasted as if they were made with basic pancake flour you buy at a grocery store, nothing special or homemade. They were a bit too dry for my taste. Will try the French toast next time to see if they're just a savory spot vs sweet breakfast spot.

I give this place 3.6/ 5 the alternative rib eye they serve since they didn't have the order I asked for steak was ok. It was missing seasoning and it was bland 2/5. Over all service was ok. Not worth $22 though for a small piece of meat.. The pancake was good 4/5 and the Turkey Benedict 4/5 .The staff was helpful and keeping the place clean. Inside has good atmosphere and well lighted windows.

First visit at local spot with my friends for breakfast…read more Open seating, very spacious. Decor is rustic with high ceilings and a little industrial but the contrast works and feels warm. Lots of light and big screen TV looks like a great place to watch sports. Cafeteria style, order up front and they bring to your table. I checked out the menu the night before and had already settled on getting pancakes. When I got there I was a little bit more hungry so I decided to get a side of bacon as well as fresh squeeze juice. I really enjoy fresh squeeze juice (I saw a little sign) and I did not see that on the menu so I thought I would try it. Orange and carrot juice is my go to. Pancakes were good, bacon crispy and juice was refreshingly delicious. I admit my meal was a bit pricey -I wish I had seen the specials that were advertised outside on the outside only restaurant window. I wouldn't have ordered everything ala cart. My total was $32 including tip. I believe in supporting local businesses but even for me that busted my budget for breakfast. Would be a nice spot for small groups too. I will definitely be back to try one of their daily breakfast special.

Not once during those 40 minutes did anyone bother to check on the status of my order or notify me that there was a problem. To make matters worse, when I requested a refund, I was told it would take 7 days for the money to be returned to my card. Funny how the restaurant had no problem taking my money instantly, but somehow needs a week to give it back after failing to provide the food I paid for. What's even more frustrating is that this is the SECOND time this exact thing has happened to me at this location. Clearly, there are serious issues with their order management process, and no effort has been made to fix them. The final insult was the shift manager, who sat there smirking while I left frustrated and empty-handed. There was no sincere apology, no attempt to make things right, and no sense of accountability. After two experiences like this, I can confidently say I won't be returning. Customers deserve better communication, better service, and basic respect for their time and money.

I used to come here for lunch almost every day when I worked in the area, and I was especially a big fan of their café de olla. The food menu (and prices) still seems to be the same as before, but the quality doesn't feel quite the same. Their spicy salsa (cacahuate) now tastes watered down and bland, and even the food and coffee don't have the same flavor they used to. I'll still stop by occasionally for my usual potato tacos or tacos de carne asada, but it's not quite the same experience I remember. The interior has also changed, and personally, I preferred the way it looked before. It used to have a more homey, cozy feel to it. The changes aren't terrible, but I do feel like some things went downhill after the rebrand. That said, the staff is wonderful. They're kind, helpful, and the service is always fast. I still have a soft spot for this place, but I do miss how it used to be.
