I LOVE this place! Yes it's a little small, but that doesn't mean not to give it a shot. I didn't have any bad vibes from the waitresses in fact they kept asking me what I needed. If I ordered. If I'm okay. Not to rush me out, but to make sure I had everything I needed. The owners themselves are amazing, great people. The place feels so cozy. The food is delicious. Food comes out quick and everything I tried was great! Menudo was good! Clean and tortillas handmade! I also had to try the costillas per recommendation! A gem in the San Fernando valley, great authentic food. My favorite is the tongue, machaca con huevos, chorizo con huevos but you really can't go wrong. Also the costillas de puerco are excellent but I was not impressed with the menudo but most everything else is very good. Excellent service very friendly as it is in Mexico. You don't come here for the ambience you come here for the food. This is as close as you will get to eating in Michoacán. read more

The chilaquiles were tasteless. As a matter of fact the only thing I could taste was the lard they used to cook them in. I also asked for over easy eggs but I got over hard. Called and told them about the eggs and how I could taste the lard and the lady on the phone got upset and told me to bring my plate back and hung up. First of all who wants to hear glaringly loud accordions while waiting 50 minutes to be served. The plates are priced as if you are in Dubai and the servers have a very friendly attitude to make up for the fact that they forget absolutely everything because they are too busy. I'm sure the owner is too cheap to hire more help so you will always wait an hour to be seated and to be charged as if you are in a 10 star Japanese restaurant. I'll tell you how the food was after I wait because we've been waiting forever. And this is the third time they got the order wrong, my date is halfway done with her food and I'm still waiting: because they forget everything. Nice attitude piss water service. Now that h have finished my food it was Amazing but not worth the stress. They did their best but they aren't organized at all. It should be the most important thing to carry at least a notepad with the fucking orders. They're just trying to remember everything and it's obviously not working. While waiting I've also seen a bunch of people having similar complaints. Come here if you want good food and a stressful time getting it. read more

I've been here on a few occasions and noticed I was being overcharged by a dollar or two here and there which i didn't pay attention until this last visit , the lady literally try to rip me off $8 more than what it should of been. Parking in the back. It gets extremely crowded in the mornings on the weekend, so make sure you go early. The food there is typical, they have live music in the mornings where these performers come in, perform, and you can tip them if you'd like. This place is authentic! Little tiny place that has 7-8 booths and about 3 tiny tables in the middle isle. There was a lady who greeted us and reminded me of my Tia's (aunts) in Mexico. We kept it safe and simple with a plate of carne Asada with rice and beans, red chilaquiles with beans and eggs over easy. I ordered chorizo con huevos, rice and beans. We also order coffee and horchatas. The coffee is nothing fancy, it's literally OG style coffee from the kettle brewer (since now in days we mostly have a Keurig) but it has nostalgia written all over. There was only one server. The lady who greeted us when we went in so it might take a bit to get your food but it's well worth it. Once we got our food we got the amazing hand made tortillas which literally make all the difference in the world. We cleaned our plates, sorry no picks my little one was using my phone. She tends to be a picky eater but not here, she ate 2 tortillas stuffed with cheese (queso fresco that I asked for separately) beans and chorizo. Oh and remember to bring cash since they don't take anything else. Will definitely be back. You wont be disappointed. read more

I hadn't been to this place in a while. I was so disappointed to see that Nena was no longer there. Nena was my favorite. She made the best Horchata and salsa. She was so helpful and always had a smile. Amalia is cool but the food and drinks are not the same anymore.
