This restaurant (if I recall correctly) has moved down the street street front on Maclay across from (now closed) Tommy's Burgers. The location is convenient, it's a cute and airy place with traditional earthy and bright colors. I've dined there once and have tried to dine there again (as recently as in the last month) and left without even ordering a drink. Apparently you walk all the way in, seat yourself but before doing so...grab your menu to the far right of the cashier counter. Then, hope to be acknowledged by your own raza whilst they don't skip a beat to tend to Caucasian customers. My observation and experience was THAT and that all their customers at the time were elderly people (2nd generation or beyond, assimilated folks). Disappointed to have been ignored for almost 10 minutes. Mind you, most d customers had already finished their meal or were close to doing so. Good little hole-in-the-wall! I ordered the mole and it was divine! The only thing is I noticed a lot of small fragments of chicken bones in it, so it wasn't quite as enjoyable eating it since I had to be mindful of the bones. Other than that, the service was great and plenty of parking. read more

Finally!! I have been looking for a restaurant near me that makes good wet burritos and looks like I finally found one. I got myself a burrito of asada with salsa roja and it was delicious. I'll definitely be ordering food from here more often now. So glad I gave this restaurant a try. read more

First time here, felt very welcoming, just like at "en su Casa"home. It was nice to see a Lady behind the kitchen, usually the men are doing all the cooking at Restaurants now a days- nothing wrong with that. The Lady at the cashier was so nice and friendly, who also helped with bringing our food to our table. My husband and I were waiting for our car next door, so we decided to try it out. They have a big variety of Southern Mexican dishes. I love that I am half Southern from my mom's side "Jalisco"and Norteno from my Dads! I decided to order the Chicken Taquitos-topped with shredded lettuce, tomato and sour cream just like my mom use to make came along with rice,beans and of course lets not forget the guacamole! The taquitos were crunchy to perfection on every bite, the chicken was nicely shredded. The rice and beans just like homemade! When we first arrive they offered us tortilla chips and salsa. I noticed that they have a variety of drinks from Mexican bottled sodas to the traditional "aguas frescas". I had the "camarones rancheros " with rice and beans. The camarones or shrimp were delicious and so were the beans. They also provided us with two types of salsas: red and green. My boyfriend had a wet burrito, which is basically a regular burrito covered in green sauce instead of the traditional red. Overall, the food was delicious and authentic Mexican food. I came to get breakfast this morning with my daughter and husband. My daughter picked the table up against the wall closest to a refrigerator they had. There were 2 customers in the restaurant. The table we sat on was dirty, had not been cleaned and my daughter yells out " there's a spider on the table" I thought my daughter is making things up, as I was sitting down I see a huge roach sitting on the table. We ran out of there!!!!! My stomach turned. Will NOT be going back. I went once a few months back and the food taste fresh and home made.
