We have eaten here a few times in the past and decided to give it another try. When we walked in the sign said wait to be seated. We stood there for a few minutes before someone came over to seat us. We were taken to our table and rather quickly chips and salsa were brought to the table. It took awhile for someone to come and take our drink orders and even longer to take our food orders. Probably ten minutes or so after we placed our food order the waiter came back to ask what I had ordered since he couldn't remember. After waiting some more we contemplated telling them to make our order to go. Finally our food showed up. I have to admit that I was not impressed with the quality of the food especially the beans. Overall it's an average Mexican restaurant, the decor is nice but the quality of the food and the service are not there. There are better options in the area.

We've been going to El Agave in Warrenton for over 20 years, and we have eaten there, literally, hundreds of times during that stretch. Food is consistently good, and it is a very friendly place. Notably, the same two guys have been managing the place as long as I've been going there, and that says a lot about the consistency. Definitely recommended for an informal Mexican meal.

Went to El Agave for lunch by myself today. Have been coming here for years for great Mexican comfort food. The Enchiladas Supremas tastes pretty good and always hits the spot. The portions are fairly large in here and reasonably priced. Also, the server was very friendly and respectful, albeit pretty slow in between visits to the table. The negative. As soon as you walk in, the restaurant has an odor to it that smells like kitchen drain... one of my largest issues with restaurants... that is my least favorite thing. In addition, the place could use an updating, facelift, or remodel. Some of that might help with the smell too. Otherwise, its a great local hangout for dinners out with family or friends. We have been coming here for years, I just wish they would update and clean. :-) Gracias!

Tienes Sopa De Pollo. That was the highlight of this lunch outing. It was barely warm but at least they had it, next time I might recommend leaving it in the Micro for another 30 seconds. I like that you get the chips and salsa right away. Both were fresh and flavorful. I had one of the lunch specials which included a taco. Very disappointing that you can only have a hard shell taco. Their sign says 'authentic', well...compared to T Bell, maybe.

Food is cheap and pretty good. The Chori-queso is AWESOME! I could eat it with a spoon out of a serving bowl.

They'll try to gip ya on the tacos. Watch out for those side orders. Never know what you'll get charged.

First decent Mexican food I've had on the East Coast. Only place that has a clue of what chile verde is! Service has always been great.

Taqueria Guadalajara has a bit of a tucked away location just on the outskirts of Winchester,…read morewhich gives it that standalone, local spot feel. While having its own building is a plus, parking can quickly become a headache during busy hours, so timing your visit makes a difference. Walking in, there wasn't a host present, which made the entrance feel a little unorganized at first. However, a server quickly stepped in and pointed us in the right direction. From there, the experience improved the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, which helped set a positive tone for the meal. The burrito was the highlight. It came out well prepared with solid flavor throughout, even though it didn't include any sides. Normally, that might feel like something is missing, but the taste was good enough to carry the dish on its own. Pricing leans a bit on the higher side, which is something to keep in mind, especially given the lack of extras. Overall, Taqueria Guadalajara delivers where it matters most good flavor and friendly service even if it has a few logistical hiccups like parking and the initial lack of greeting. It's the kind of place that leaves you debating between a 4 and a 5, but the quality of the food ultimately pushes it into 5-star territory

Returned for the first time in a while, and it was the most crowded I've ever seen the place…read more Strongly recommend they consider some pads on the ceiling to absorb the sound, or maybe a carpet, but our table of three was shouting to hear each other on a Tuesday night. Salsa continues to be delicious (albeit punishing the next day), and of my three tacos, carnitas was the only one to write home about. Pescado was fishy (not in the good way), and the al pastor was, again, just okay. Pointed out my chipped water glass to the server, who was apologetic and promptly replaced it. Best tacos in the area continue to be Los Altos de Jalisco in Winchester. I said what I said.
