Fairly solid Mexican food establishment. Food is great albeit need bigger portions, the hours at this place can be a bit unreliable, and sometimes can be randomly closed. Really solid place when open. read more

The food was good until my wife found a large fly in the piece she was about to eat. The waitress was not surprised or apologetic. Apparently the manager couldn't be bothered to talk to us about it. They offered us a 10% discount on her item, which was $.90. We will never dine here again. My advice: go to El Caporal in Canon City instead. read more

He was hungry so we drove by the main drag and he decided on this place. The decor screams 'Fiesta!' and js definitely a blast of color. Nice parking lot and a patio area. The tv had a Mexican rodeo on which was interesting. The servers were friendly and professional. Chips and salsa brought out. The salsa was more puréed than I'm used to and had a bite to it. He really liked it. I decided on the Chile relleno with beans and rice. He chose the colorado burrito which is chopped steak cooked in a red sauce and then rolled and smothered in cheese and red burrito salsa. The Chile relleno is different that what is served in Denver. There was a thin coating of egg over the Chile and then the cheese. It tasted good. The Chile was spicy which I appreciated. The rice was also nice and moist while the beans were tasty. I usually don't eat the beans as sometimes they have an after taste to them. But these I liked. He inhaled the burrito and sides. So I guess he liked them. A different experience and because I don't know what authentic Mexican tastes like I can't say if it's authentic but it was very good even if it's different from what I'm used to. read more

The food was just okay, did not taste like authentic Mexican. The drinks were really expensive and had very little alcohol in them. Overall, we were pretty shocked at the bill - twice as much as we would pay for Mexican food in Denver. I would not recommend this place - however, the service was very good. read more

The food here is absolutely excellent! We tried a "make your own" platter which included a chimichanga, an Alazan burrito, and a chicken enchilada. We also ordered the shrimp enchiladas which came with rice and refried beans. Both of us cleaned our plates. Every last bit of food went down the hatch. We also ordered two jumbo margaritas - one regular on the rocks with salt and one strawberry frozen. Both were very very good (although the alcohol content was average). It had been a while since we'd eaten here. In the past it was good then the quality went down, in general. The beef was tough unless it was ground. A lot of people we know quit going here. Then they started closing on Sundays. Today ( Sunday ) we noticed it was open. My son and I ordered the same meal: Chicken Fajita Burrito. The taste was great but in that huge burrito we each found about 6 little pieces of chicken about the size of a penny. At $12.15 x 2 meals totaling $24 not even a half of one chicken breast between us. Most of it was sauteed bell pepper and onion. It's disgusting when you pay so much and they give so little. Tonight about 15 minutes before 8 pm-I found out they closed at 8 pm so I wanted to go there and eat great Mexican food. So I phoned in my order-I am just a couple of blocks away...I ordered two cheese enchiladas rice and beans and a margarita. I jumped on my bike and pedaled up to their place. This is mine and my husband's go-to restaurant when we don't feel like cooking. Consistently excellent service, the portion sizes are great, and the prices are low. I have yet to try a dish I didn't like, but my new obsession is the street tacos with a side of guac, which is quality for sure. Highly recommend. read more
