Worst food ever tried, got food poisoning. Don't go to this place, only 1 waitress for all tables. Not recommended at all.

Service was great, and the aracherra was exceptional. I recommend you try the cesina as an appetizer.

Service was good overall, though during both our trips here we noted the servers who'd initially taken care of us would often disappear for very long periods and we'd need to ask others for assistance during the course of our meal. This restaurant has solid cocktail and wine lists, and a fairly extensive food menu which likely has something to accommodate nearly everyone's tastes, and menus are available in either English or Spanish. During our first visit we shared an order of guac and chips to start, and though the guacamole was good, the chips were thick and baked rather than fried and to be frank, I was afraid I'd break a tooth on them. For my main course that night I had the chicken breast with vegetables and it was very good. During our second visit we had the queso fundido to share, and I had a caesar salad with chicken. We enjoyed both our meals here, and menu prices were about on par with better quality steakhouses in larger US cities.

The restaurant put us in our own room for better dining experience and our server was Meah who did a wonderful job. I personally started with a Caesar salad followed by the boneless ribeye cooked medium rare and it was delicious!! Of the 11 or 12 guests I had that evening, 6 of them ordered the boneless ribeye and all were satisfied! For desert I had a couple of Basil Hayden Old Fashioneds, which was a wonderful end to a great dinner. The overall experience was simply great and the restaurant itself is extremely nice with a great vibe. I highly highly recommend!!!

First of all if you go a saturday or sunday 3-7pm you would most likely find a waiting line of up to an 1hr, the food is that good. There is a salad bar with all types of sides: potatoes, cold pasta salads, rice, breads, even wings, spaghetti, etc I can't remember all of them but its varied, you have a lot of options but be careful not to get full on the sides and vegetables because they're really good but you still have to wait on the main course. The waiters/caters come table to table with their different meat cuts and they serve them on your plate, they're not cold, they meat is on a ESPADA (sword) that comes right out of the flames, sometimes it's sizzling still. You can tell them to bring a special meat that you like as many times you want, and you can stay there at the restaurant as much as your stomach allows you, it's a buffet but instead of you going to serve yourself, the waiters bring the meat to you, my personal favorite CHISTORRA (it's a chorizo like meat with a salty and porky flavor). They have a variety of drinks but the wine options in here are the main thing, make sure to ask for your favorite wine they probably have it. So if you're feeling really hungry for meat i mean A LOT of meat, stop by Espadas and have a bite, or 2...... or 30. The attention is good and they take credit cards and cash USD dollars. And there also a menu for deserts if you still are craving something sweet (but these are paid separately), I usually just take the grilled pineapple with cinnamon that comes in a sword as well, DELICIOUS!

It became a special treat for our family while visiting our Tía in home hospice--and one of her last, most joyful bites. Food and our family's recipes are at the heart of who we are, so hearing my Tía Emma call it "magnificent" meant everything. While, we didn't dine in, we noted the atmosphere struck the right balance of upscale bar and grill on our two visits. Please note, this place get packed on weekend nights. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed. Medium rare, was not very rare at all... Also didn't seem to have any grill marks. From the outside looking in, El Tragadero doesn't look like much, but once you step inside you're treated to sites and smells that will delight. The theme of the restaurant is bullfighting, and inside you'll find paintings, matador outfits, posters, etc celebrating the history of bullfighting. It might as well be a museum. Whether you are up stairs or downstairs, one of the first things you'll notice is older women making fresh corn tortillas. I kid you not, these might be the best tortillas I've ever had, and I typically prefer flour to corn. If you give them a small tip at the onset, they'll keep the tortillas coming nonstop. Before you even order you'll be provided with some chicharron and salsa, as well as some beans. A nice touch that compliments a Sol well. On the menu is a variety of delicious grilled meats with an unbeatable flavor profile that puts most American steakhouses to shame. To date I've had the arrachera, rib eye, and ribs. Although I prefer the arrachera, all three will blow you away. The meat is so good that even when I've taken it home and reheated it in a skillet the next day, it's just as delicious. Some pro tips: They only take cash but accept dollars and pesos. Convert your dollars to pesos before as the exchange rate in the restaurant will be worse if you pay in dollars. Don't be surprised if you see people waiting outside, this place is popular but they turn over tables quickly.

The staff was incredibly accommodating, and our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable, and so helpful with recommendations. The wedge salad was the standout of the night, generously portioned, perfect for sharing, and absolutely delicious. The pesto spaghetti was equally impressive, with a beautifully balanced sauce that wasn't overpowering. I ordered the miso black cod, which was cooked perfectly and beautifully flaky. While it leaned a bit salty for my taste, the quality of the dish still stood out. The ambiance is dark and intimate, perfect for an upscale dinner, and the iPad menus were a helpful modern touch.
