It's a nice place, but the buffet needs A LOT of work. Food was really dried up, bland, and cold. Chilaquiles we're super clumped up together with no cheese. The bread was burned from one side and untoasted from the other. Barbacoa tacos were also burned and presentation was not appealing. My omelette and tacos took an hour to get and my omelette was really greasy when I got it. Our server was ok, but seemed a little overwhelmed. She really wasn't paying attention or maybe didn't care to make sure food was coming out ok. I sent the bread back for toasting and I got it back the same. I have to say this as by far one of the best experiences we have had. Liberty our waitress was exceptional, phenomenal, and we did not have to lift a finger. Her constant display of first class service was over the moon. The food was so good, tasty and cooked to perfection. So happy we celebrated my dad's birthday there! The whole staff was on point! 40 MINUTES WAITING FOR FOOD AND IT WAS SERVED COLD! Very disappointed, it used to be a great place to enjoy a good steak, not anymore, last two visits were not so good. Today, we were waiting for our food to be served for a long time and arrived cold, (most of our steaks were cold ) and my wife's order was delayed even more, apparently they were running out of beef for the tenderloin tacos for portion was very small and not cooked properly. I asked the waitress to please re heat my steak and returned in a couple of minutes saying it had been re heated, but it was still the same. They automatically charged 18% gratuity because we were a table of seven, I do not mind the gratuity when I receive a good service, sometimes we even tip 20% or more, but I feel like the last experience didn't qualify as a good service or quality. This is the second time I have been here and they are outstanding! My nephew was visiting me from NY and wanted traditional Mexican food. These folks did not disappoint! Not only was it a holiday but they were open until 9:00 P.M. and had plenty of staff on schedule. I love going into Corralitos and seeing families seated together at large tables enjoying time together. The ambiance lends itself to having an enjoyable, relaxing time. Oh and the food! My nephew had the Mexican tenderloin tacos and he ate every crumb on his plate. I had the steak enchiladas and they were delicious! I didn't know Corralito served breakfast, and I wish I didn't. I took my friend for his birthday and was bummed about how sour our experience was. You get brought some oan dulce before your order which was nice to have with my coffee. It mightve been enjoyable had my coffee not been cold. Cold-seemed to be the theme of this day. I ordered the breakfast tampiqueña which was chilaquiles, potatoes, beans eggs and guacamole. Rhe chilaquiles tasted sour, and the guacamole never made it to my plate. My friend ordered the picadillo plate which had was bland. As if that wasn't bad enough our food was cold. We sent them back and got brought our food but was disappointed by that time. Decorum: First thing you notice as you walk in is the glamorous spectacle of an open view kitchen imbued via the glistening of a bright red neon-ish sign. Okay, okay...the whole thing looked like a similar setup of G2 on North Mesa, except done way better. Oh, and the dining room is loud as hell. Like Applebee's. Only slightly less obnoxious. Moving on.. Appetizers: Tonight, we went with the Caesar salad and chicken tortilla soup. Also worth mentioning that, like most Mexican style restaurants ten miles from the border, they offer complimentary chips and salsa. Oh...the salsa.. Right from the first dip, you can tell this salsa is made IN house. And it's bloody delicious! Just enough spice not to singe off your pinche Americano tastebuds, this salsa will not offend, but satisfy your craving for subtle Mexican delectation. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the tortilla soup. Guys....this has to be one of the LEAST interesting tortilla soups I've ever tasted. First of all, they do this bizarre thing where they bring you the bowl of soup...SANS broth. At first. Lemme explain.. You have the bowl...with all the ingredients (tortilla strips, unrecognizably shredded chicken, and indescribable cheese blocks) and the broth in a...pitcher. They pour the broth into the bowl after the fact and it's all supposed to blend together. One problem though.. The soup as a whole was blander than Macaulay Culkin in Richie Rich. Even after adding salt, it still tastes like a stoic bowl of mishmash with a side of salt on top. You can just tell. As for the Caesar salad, it wasn't horrible. But it could have used a bit more dressing. And what the heck was up with that rock hard piece of bread?! I guess it was supposed to be more like an over-sized crouton but...seeing it made me feel like I should be using it to build a brick house. Still...I know what you're all wondering about. The steaks, right? Well.. I got the rib eye (of course). Le wifey got the T-bone (bless her heart). Surprisingly, the rib eye had a decent amount of flavor. Only had to sprinkle a touch of salt in the end...which is saying a lot, all things considered. Plus, the texture was nice and buttery as a good rib eye should be. I also sampled the T-bone and it was decently seasoned as well (though the texture and temp of the strip loin side could have been more tender and less mid-well). One strange thing was the so-called grilled onions. Actually, these things looked more like sauerkraut without the "sauer". What I'm trying to say is they looked like just about the most confused grilled onions I've ever seen. Because they were somehow halfway between grilled AND raw. IT'S SO CONFUSING!! Usually, grilled onions have a touch of char on them. But these...they...I....who asked for these?! Go big or go home! That's it. Service: No real complaints, with the exception of the bizarre ritual of waitresses inexplicably disappearing when it comes time for the check. Seriously, what's with this? Anyway, would I return? Sure, if only to try the surf n' turf or the filet. Are they better than Texas Roadhouse? Eeeeehh....no. Are they better than Cattle Baron? Sure, but....so is literally everyone else (including Applebee's). Let's just say Corralito Steak House is harmlessly fine. So, I'm gonna give them 3 buttery cuts of rib eye steak covered in "grilled" onions suffering a botanical identity crisis out of 5. read more

I think as far as happy hour spots go, this one is in my top 5!!! I dont recall if they had specific food items that were discounted during happy hour though. But what i do remember is their outstanding margaritas for 3$ during that time!! And they were GOOD. Lol We also got an order of their queso fundido chile and i was so curious to try bone marrow for once! And my dummy head decided to try to be healthy by ordering their poke appetizer for a meal. I instantly regretted it once i saw my friends' sirloin and ribeye meals! They looked and tasted amazing! They let me share their food and i was thankful for that since it saved me from the strong margarita lol. The queso fundido was also delish! Service was also very fast which was great! Our appetizers were first of course and let me tell you about bone marrow....quite the acquired taste!! And i did not acquire it that night lol. I come to this Corralito's on Zaragosa once every 1 or 2 months, they're close to home. Regrettably, they are so inconsistent: great at times, but also horrible other times. Usually I order steak (Filet Mignon) but have ordered Mexican stuff occasionally. Today (6-22-2025 about 6PM) the steak should get a negative-star rating. It was strange - it looked perfectly cooked by the chef (ordered medium), but it was amongst the DRIEST stakes I've ever eaten. How does that happen? Was this a previously returned steak saved under the hot lights too long, or just bad quality meat? I sat at the bar, service was great (Gabriel I think). I mentioned the steak issue, but was clear I didn't want a discount or anything like that, just to pass it on to the manager. I didn't return it to begin with because THAT sometimes triggers a response by some kitchen staff that customers don't realize, and I didn't want to risk that. I've been talking this restaurant up to my friends for quite a while excited to taste opened one on the east side. We ordered two of the arrechera steaks. They have very good flavor, but very hard to eat, one was so tough we had to send it back. They replaced it with a rib-eye. Every bite was eaten! The quest con rajas was very good with corn tortillas. Yeah I'm not really a steak eater but my brother and I decided to bring my mom here.... Honestly It was his place of choosing and I wasn't impressed. The only thing that made this restaurant great was our sever. He was very professional and extremely attentive. Besides that,,, the food was not at all what I expected which is why I can only give 3 stars. I ordered the arrachera steak and unfortunately it was very dry, tough and and so small. For this place being known as a steak house I would think they would present better steaks right?? My mom got the T-bone steak and my brother I think got the rib eye... they said their steak was ok but not great. Maybe I just need to give this restaurant another try another day. Overall my experience was good I did have this one slight issue with one of the servers who seemed like he was miserable at work. He was showing a passive aggressive attitude towards the other server workers and it just made me feel slightly uncomfortable. Maybe he was the manager or just simply having a bad day who even knows. So my wife and I were out running errands and got the hunger pangs and seeing how we frequently visit this location because of the top notch food and service, we thought we would have the same great experience but No, we were destined for failure. We started off with Queso Fundido with chorizo and that was delicious and melted nicely. The chips and salsa were also good. The bad news began when our main entrees showed up. My wife ordered the lunch special grilled chicken with roasted veggies and that came nice and hot but when I tried my plate, the Steak Tampiquena which comes with a red Chile enchilada, I knew I was in trouble because the enchilada was cold and normally it's hot and gooey. Next my beans were tepid and finally my meat, it was barely warm. I hated to let them, server, know because I don't trust kitchen staff when they're told the food isn't up to par. Our server did inform the manager and he eventually showed up even though he went to the wrong table at first. He apologized and stated they'd give me a new plate or something else but I had truly lost my appetite. The sad part is he never visited our table prior to the incident. Have been here a few times. The steak is good but I really love their St. Louis ribs. They are amazing and juicy and fall off the bone good. Their sides need some help in particular the salad. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SALAD. They literally put wilted lettuce in a brown with dressing. Then when we asked about it they just said "sorry we will let the salad person know". I'm not exaggerating when I say it was literally just lettuce. Overall a good experience, not too crowded considering it was a weekend. read more

This is the fourth time I come to this establishment. The first three times were great. But today, it has been horrible. The service complements the food, and the service sucks. I'm talking about the kitchen they have been slow, and I've been waiting for my food for over 45 mins. The appetizers the tuetanos were cold and had to send them back twice. The food finally came out. The food overall was from OK to some was good. I'm not sure if I will return. The other establishment by the airport, now that one sucked when I went and I will not go back. It's unfortunate because I love to support local businesses, but Corralito is dropping the ball. Came here from California and to celebrate my dad's birthday. Made reservations and let them know that it was his birthday. Was told that he was going to be sang to and get a complimentary flan. When we arrived, our menus were all different and didn't have the same items in the menu so we shared. Ok, it happens. Then ordered our food. Noticed that the other tables had bread and chips and salsa, we never got ours. The wine we ordered was out, so we went with a different and cheaper wine. The empanadas were bland and dry, would not recommend. Can get way better ones at our local empanada place in California. My family ordered steak and chicken while I simply wanted cheese enchiladas with sides of salsa. Salsa and sides were forgotten and enchiladas were burnt and so were my rice and beans. So. Disappointed. This place was recommended and now our nearest family friends and people visiting El Paso will know that it's a disappointment. Very disappointed. Supposedly great reviews so thought it worth a try. Tried the surf & turf Kabobs. The dish was extremely dry as if it was under a heat lamp for a very long time. The baked potatoe had obviously been cooked hours earlier and put on hold until put onto my plate with the dried out Kabobs. A fine restaurant would never put out food that was no better than a cheap frozen microwave dish. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because our servers were delightful although we we a party of 12, it was obvious that the kitchen was clueless on how to time the meals to be served in a manner that allows guests to enjoy their meal together.
