We had the Cricket Tacos (worthy a try!), Shrimp with Peanut Mole, and the Duck Carnitas, both of which were AMAZING!

The first time, I came for breakfast and there was a very pleasant brunette woman working. I had the breakfast bagel which came with eggs, bacon and hash browns and was pretty good. The waitress was great. For my second visit I came for a mid afternoon lunch. The waitress seemed a little grumpy, maybe she was having a bad day. I ordered a paloma to drink and she basically said "what the fuck is that" ? (a paloma is probably one of the most common Mexican cocktails). I explained that it was tequila and grapefruit soda and she seemed irritated to have to make it. When I ordered a second paloma she took my glass and proceeded to just pour fresh ice and the ingredients over the good amount of melted ice that was left in the glass giving me an extra watered down drink. I ordered a hamburger to eat and she basically just dropped the plate in front of me without even giving me a napkin and walked away.. Another patron was nice enough to reach behind the bar to grab me some napkins and condiments for my burger. The burger itself was decent but nothing special I guess experience here will vary by whomever is tending bar. I do like that the drinks and food are reasonably priced and they do a generous pour with the liquor

Being in Puerto Vallarta for a long stretch of time, every now and then we want just some regular US home cooking. Look no further. Tonight's specials were 1) BBQ Ribs with mac and cheese and a monster helping of cole slaw; 2) Fillet Mignon with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. There were 7 of us. 3 got ribs, 3 got steak and 1 chose the Ceasar Salad with Shrimp. As with most Mexican restaurants, meals are an ordeal and never rushed. It seemed to take longer than usual to have our orders taken by the chef and a bit of time to be served. That's just Mexico. The wait was well worth it. My ribs were super moist, tender and tasty with an unfamiliar sauce, not like US ribs, but delicious all the same. The mac and cheese, superb! Comments from our companions were upbeat and happy, seems like everyone was thrilled with the pick and the prices are easy on the pockets. The staff is kind, efficient and professional. Someone asked if David was around...the mild mannered waiter whispered, very seriously "David has died" David left a fine legacy. We will return.

We came in on a Saturday about an hour before closing, ordered two burgers, several drinks, and my favorite cauliflower rings. My deep-fried mushroom burger arrived cold, with coleslaw sauce dripping all over it, and the chips that came with it were cold as well. The wings were so overwhelmingly vinegary that I couldn't eat them; I ended up peeling off the batter and just ate the boiled cauliflower. Even the ranch was extremely watery. Despite spending a good amount of money, the service didn't match. The waiter barely greeted us, was not attentive at all, and never checked in to ask if everything was okay. When I mentioned at the end that the food wasn't up to the usual standard, he just shrugged and did nothing about it. Sadly, after years of coming here, this might be my last visit. Very disappointing.

We stopped in for a chunky monkey smoothie bowl, and waited for what seemed like a lifetime for it! I don't know what type of loving our bowl got, but it took close to 40 minutes to make a smoothie bowl! The ingredients tasted very fresh and natural, and I felt like it was good quality, but it's definitely not worth waiting 40 minutes! If you have time to waste, or if you want to sit and relax, and or get some work done, then this place will give you exactly what you want!
