This is a great breakfast spot in Puerto Vallarta. Make sure you sit in Jorge's section. He's a great waiter and made excellent suggestions for the meal. The Huevos Mascota had incredible flavor. If you just want smoothies, this is the place as well.
We had breakfast here as it was attached to the hotel. Pretty busy regardless on what day you come. I think it's only open for breakfast and lunch. They have a full bar so whatever cocktails you want it's available. The wait wasn't that long for us as they had open tables. Service was great with friendly staff. Hostess, waiter/waitress, bartender and so on. All so friendly. Before we even ordered, they come around offering fresh baked goods to start off. Muffins, breads and cinnamon roll. All made fresh daily... Menu, breakfast and lunch all looked amazing. They have pretty much all your breakfast dishes. Pancakes, omelette, waffles and so on. We went with the salmon Benedict and salmon bagel. Both were great. Salmon on Benedict was a little salty but still good. Potion wise is pretty big as well. Also brought out some toast with fresh jam and butter to start off. The orange juice was great as well, not sure if it was fresh squeezed though. Pricewise, it's very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Looking over the table, someone had the grand slam (their version) and it was pretty massive. As well as the French toast and waffles. Good food at a great price. Fresh pastries and open bar. Plus side, it's connected to the hotel.
What a lovely experience at Fredy's Tucan. A friend of ours, who is a local (and therefore an expert, obviously), suggested we go while we were in port on our cruise. It was a bit of a walk, but absolutely worth it. We took a cab from the port to the Malecón Boardwalk and then hoofed it about a half-mile to Fredy's. You can tell this is a local favorite. The restaurant is lovely and inviting, and I was honestly impressed by all the vibrant colors and the incredibly beautiful wallpaper. Service was friendly and prompt, and our group of seven was seated in a cozy back corner, like we were members of a super-exclusive breakfast club. I ordered a Bloody Mary and shared the Ranchero eggs ($138 pesos). They were served just like traditional ranchero eggs: over two fried tortillas bathed in red and green sauce, accompanied by refried beans. The Bloody Mary was delicious (don't expect an American-style "salad in a glass" with a ton of garnishes--you just get a piece of celery, and honestly, that's all you need), but the Mary mix was savory and delicious. The ranchero eggs were also savory and delicious; a half order was perfect for me, especially when they give you a basket of bread with jam for the table to share (and for me to hoard). The whole table loved their meals; everybody cleaned their plates, which is the international sign for "This was a good decision." The atmosphere was so cheerful and vibrant, truly a feast for the eyes before the food even arrived! Each bite of the Ranchero eggs was a delightful mix of savory flavors, and sharing that bread basket felt like a little family moment. It's the kind of place that just makes you feel happy to be there.

I had the wet shrimp burrito and hubby ordered a breakfast for lunch. A stack of pancakes and ham with eggs. Always quick and friendly service. Love the slower paced lunch crowd vibe as breakfast is always busy and packed.
A staple I always visit when in Puerto Vallarta! I always get the chilaquiles verde. I branched out today and got it with steak. Very delish! Big serving. Ordered my steak medium rare and it was perfect. Sauce was a tad too watery for my liking, but still had a great taste. There was a new cheese on there I don't recall from before; it was okay. Gooped up quickly if you took to long to eat it. I shared the French toast with my mom. So good! The strawberries tasted very fresh, and the bread was so big and pillowy you could sleep on it. I usually don't like whipped cream, but theirs was yummy. I wouldn't really call it a whipped cream, it was more like the whipped icing you can get on store bought cakes in the United States. Service was friendly as always. Seated and served quickly. Ambiance was friendly and inviting. Will always come back here when in PV!
Very good stop friendly staff in both English and Spanish. They server breakfast lunch and spirits. Just remember cash only. Average mixed crowd and good views from the corner.
Had a great brunch here, but definitely felt like I was in America when I ate here. There was a wait for brunch, the atmosphere was very American, and the menu was clearly catered for tourists. But it was great! We shared a berry smoothie- it was HUGE. Pretty good but a little sweet for my taste since they add a lot of honey. I got the chilaquiles and they were pretty good. I enjoyed them but they weren't as flavorful as some of the more authentic places we tried. My boyfriend got the beef tips and said it was filling and had great flavor. Big portions and friendly staff for sure, it just didn't feel like we were in Mexico when we were there.

I found this place while on vacation. The food was delicious and the service amazing! Our waiter, David Sosa went above and beyond! He was attentive, kind and professional. He even gave us ideas on things to see and do while in Puerto Vallarta! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area thank you David for the amazing service and delicious food!
This is like the IHOP of PV! Solid breakfast choice, nothing special. They have free WiFi and water / coffee as you wait. No outside drinks allowed so the manager had to hold my iced coffee for me. The wait goes by pretty quickly. You get a complementary toast + butter / jam basket. The waiters come by with a pastry basket for 24 pesos. We didn't get one but they looked good. I opted for traditional eggs Benedict. The eggs were cooked well and the ham was yummy. My husband got the Campesino breakfast, with a fried egg, steak, chilaquiles, and refried beans. Everything was tasty and large portion size. Breakfast for 2 (pre tip) was 384 pesos. Not bad.
Outstanding pancakes! Get them with a side of fruit for a very low cost. Very friendly service and attentive. Unlimited drip coffee. Nice bathrooms, handicap friendly

This town has a great breakfast and lunch restaurant. They have a wide variety of options on their menu. The service here was amazing and friendly. There's an indoor seating area with air conditioning, which is great for both summer and winter afternoons. The only thing you have to prepare is no card accepted, but they do have ATM for you in restaurant. read more

Fredy's Tucán was one of the highlights of my mornings in Puerto Vallarta. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Tips, and I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a hearty breakfast with a little bit of heat. The chicken was tender, the vegetables were fresh, and the creamy chipotle sauce was smoky, flavorful, and just spicy enough without overpowering the dish. The refried beans, fresh guacamole, and handmade tortillas brought everything together perfectly. I even found myself making little tacos with each bite. I paired it with an iced latte, which was the perfect way to start the morning. The service was warm, friendly, and welcoming. I'm still learning Spanish, and everyone was patient and kind, making me feel right at home. read more
One of my friends recommended this place for breakfast/lunch. It appeared as though this Since this place was cash only, it appeared to have contributed to it not being so busy which was better for me. The service was phenomenal. The staff were very attentive including taking my order, bringing my food, clearing my table, and bringing the check. It first started with them bringing some complimentary toasted bread with jams and butter. Since I ordered fajitas and a beer, it was a little weird to get bread, but I still ate it anyhow. The surf and turf fajitas were fresh off the plate, sizzling with envy! I would definitely come back here again next time I am in the Zona Romantica. read more

For our PV trip I knew we'd want to hit a brunch spot and this place had good reviews and the food looked great. We had a rental car and found underground parking nearby for about $1 and walked over. We ended up ordering the supreme omelette with cake with hash browns and the grand slam breakfast which came with eggs, bacon, hash browns and choice of waffles, pancakes or French toast. We opted for the waffles and added strawberries. The food was really good and satisfied our craving for something besides Mexican food during our trip here. Service was also very good, the waiter was super nice and attentive. read more

Was recommended to come here by staff at our hotel- the interior design with all the tucans i was obsessed! I love that they have purse/ bag stands. We tried the waffle with strawberries so good, can't go wrong with a good waffle! Also had the chilaquiles with arrachera (meat).... Let me tell you the meat was meeting ALL the requirements, so tender and juicy, medium well honestly so good, chilaquiles themselves were mid, no spice on the sauce and it had only a light splash of sour cream and cheese, when I asked for more I ended up getting charged for it LOL it's ok totally worth it. Our server was the kindest, most attentive and funny! Note: - this location does not accept any card payments just cash. - a server will come up to you offering a pastry, if you get one you'll be charged for it without being told, if you do not finish it- ask for a box to eat later. Cash only locations are sometimes hard to commit since now a days we rely on Apple Pay or credit cards- who has cash now a days? Hopefully they will get a card service and that should have them even busier. Also if you're going to have your staff offer pastries, I'd highly advise you let the customers know it's not complimentary and there will be a charge prior to picking. read more

Really enjoyed the chill atmosphere and welcoming service. They start you off with complimentary toast with butter and jams. I got the pancakes with fruit and it was just what I needed after a night of drinking. The juice smoothies helped to hydrate. A very nice spot for breakfast. read more
Oh my goodness, this place was the perfect ending to a wonderful trip to Puerto Vallarta. The food was outstanding. The blueberry muffin that I had was so scrumptious. And then the rest food was abundant and on point. I had a smoked salmon omelette. I had no idea just how this was gonna knock my socks off. But the Verde sauce they had on top with lots of citrus notes was phenomenal. I will go back just for this dish. My boyfriend had the chicken enchiladas with Mole sauce. The Molly was rich, but not overbearing or burnt tasting like some mole's. We loved it very much. When we arrived, we let the staff know that we needed to have a quick breakfast. They got an action and gave us everything we needed to be able to leave on time for our flight. They were amazing. Also, take note that they only accept cash. They will take pesos or dollars. But you will need to have cash to enjoy this place. My only regret is that I didn't go at a time that I could enjoy the bar. Cocktails look amazing. read more

Had the Nachos and Guacamole appetizer and the chicken enchiladas with green chili. First few bites were good but as I continued to eat I thought to myself how good the food actually was... deliciosa. Unfortunately they only accept cash as most places do here in PV so no big deal. I would come again but still have many more restaurants on my list. read more

The Mrs. and I had breakfast at Fredy's Tucan this morning. Fredy's is definitely geared towards tourists who like to eat a lot. The portion sizes are huge compared to other places we've dined at in Puerto Vallarta. The Mrs. ordered Fredy's Tucan Slam which came with bacon, eggs, pancakes, and hash browns. I order eggs with hash browns and smoked pork chop. It was really a bone-in ham steak. Our food was good but not impressive. Priscilla, our server was very friendly and the service we received from the rest of the staff was great. Fredy's is a cash only establishment. Your bill is broken down into dollars or pesos. I recommend using pesos. PV is much easier to navigate using the local currency. read more
Food with friendly service and fast! Bread basket and jams included. Fresh fruit plate very sweet. OJ was freshly squeezed! Ambience is family oriented. Yelp site indicates credit card but upon arrival cash only. US dollars accepted yes. They seat entire parties- make sure everyone is present. Very happy with food, in and out in under 1 hour for breakfast. read more

Excellent breakfast. Joshua and Alex were excellent servers! The food was top notch and plentiful! Loved the tropical oatmeal and avocado toast. Lots and lotta of options and gourmet won't be disappointed! read more

The service was spectacular! All staff went above and beyond. Our waiter was fantastic and the service was very quick! The decorations are cute and very tropical. The food was good. They serve a bread basket with different jams that was really good. The waffles and hash browns are not similar to American style but the food overall was good. If you're looking for something more "local" then this isn't it but the service was out of this world. read more

Excellent food and very large portions. I got the chilaquiles divorcados con un huevo, a fruit plate, and a mimosa. All were excellent. I sat at the bar because I was just one and the servers were very sweet. Sometimes, when you're just one person, you get forgotten but certainly not in this case. read more
