Traveling home with friends after a Girl's Weekend, we took this exit because we needed to stretch and grab some grub. We arrived 3 minutes after they opened. Although the outside showed it's age, the restaurant was bright and smelled clean. I like to checkout the restroom because if the restrooms are clean, it's most likely the kitchen is also very clean. I'm happy to say the restroom was also very clean. The food was served quickly. It was flavorful and not overly greasy like some Mexican places. The prices were surprisingly inexpensive. Our server was attentive. It did get rather busy by the time we were leaving and there were several families enjoying their Sunday Lunches. It was a pleasant experience.

    Nice full bar

We arrived at our hotel early today and needed to get dinner. We are traveling through town and…read moredon't know the area. So we looked up online what was good to eat here, in Georgetown. FatKats was labeled, "The Best Pizza in Town." Here are my thoughts. The restaurant had a reversed Pizza Hut vibe from the outside. The inside was full of purposeful graffiti and stickers on the walls. It was fine. It seemed fairly clean. The Good When we arrived, my daughter was having a HANGRY meltdown. One is the servers came over with crayons and coloring pages. I was optimistic! The pizza was pretty good. That is the star of the show. The prices were ok. The Bad Well, it took about 15 minutes to even order. Then, the salads arrived in a fairly quick manner. However, it had a little lettuce, some cheese, and a bunch of carrot slices. We were short on napkins and had to ask multiple times for them. My order was incorrect and had to be sent back and redone. We had to ask multiple times for drink refills, items that were missing from our order, and condiments. Overall, I would say the pizza was good but not amazing and the service was acutely lacking. I think if I could I would give a 3.5

We came in and one of the servers hollered at us from the bar area that she would be with us shortly. She sat us in a booth in the front part of the restaurant. The floor was a greasy slick feeling under your feet. My wife said she slipped and slid all the way to the restroom and back. The restaurant smelled like dirty soured dish water. We don't even wait for our waitress to return to wait on us. We left without even ordering a water.

I stopped in here for lunch with two buddies after spending some time at a nearby distillery…read more(Bluegrass Distillers). It was around 1 PM on a Thursday and they were doing good business. We were seated right away inside. They have patio dining, too, but it was hot! Casual place with nothing much to talk about visually. But, comfortable and the staff were welcoming. Our waiter answered our menu questions and offered suggestions when asked. All three of us ended up choosing the Cuban with Cole Slaw. And, we got a side of Onion Rings for the table. The food was good and the sweet tea was cold and refreshing. I enjoy Cuban and Reuben sandwiches and try them when I find them on menus. Their version of a Cuban comes on a bun, not the traditional pressed and grilled Cuban bread or other soft, airy bread. So, it was messy to eat and didn't offer that dense Cuban treat I enjoy. It was delicious, don't get me wrong, we all liked it. But it isn't a Cuban Sandwich by culinary standards. I've had food from The Brown Barrel at events where their food was brought in and it was all good, too. They also have an attached bottle shop where you can buy good bourbon at heavily inflated prices. Overall, this is a solid place for a meal and I'll go back when in the area.

There was no parking in their parking lot, so we had to drive down the hill and try our luck with street parking, then walk back up about 5-7 minutes to get into the restaurant. A bit of a pain, especially since the restaurant was only about 50% full. The host or person at the front desk was hiding - sitting on the floor on his phone. We had to lean over the counter to ask him to get up so we could ask him to seat us. He ended up being our server as well, after he literally argued with a coworker who walked up while we were inquiring about a table. "I just took the last two damn tables, isn't it your turn?" doesn't inspire confidence that you're a welcome guest. I ordered the Kentucky Hot Brown. When in Rome, right? The menu says you can get it with Mornay sauce or Kentucky Hot Brown sauce. I asked the waiter which was better - he said the Hot Brown sauce. Sounds great! It came out with the mornay sauce. It was still good, but I was a wee bit disappointed. My companions enjoyed their meals. I picked up a reasonably priced bottle of Sazerac Rye on the way out, since they didn't have any left at the distillery when I was there earlier in the visit.
