Service was great, we were greeted pretty quickly even though they were busy. Sat in less than 5 minutes. Our waitress checked on us in a timely manner, our cups never sat empty. The space itself gives you a family bar feeling. Looks like it would be a great locals spot. They had enough tables for any size groups and it was very clean. For appetizers we had the fried pickles and pork rinds. I'd give the fried pickles a 2/5, they had flavor but lacked crunch. The breading was missing on 80% of the pickle. The pork rinds, FRIEND, those were probably the highlight of my meal. The sizzle and pop, the crunch, flavor...I'm drooling just thinking about them again. I don't think I can ever have them from a bag again. 5/5 Main Coarse we ordered the mac-n-skilled with pulled pork, the kids chicken taco with tots, brisket stuff shells, and brisket Philly cheesesteak with a side of hush puppies. Mac-n-skillet, the meat was a tad bit dry but had a good amount of cheese. Creamy. Only downside was the pork. 3.5/5. The Brisket Philly was cheesy, meat was good, great flavor just a bit too greasy. Hush puppies were good, nothing stood out in particular. 4/5. The kids chicken taco and tots were ok. Not enough cheese and the tortilla was hard, tots were just right. 3.5/5. The brisket stuffed shells were unique, loved the flavor just a bit too much cheese to meat ratio for me personally. The brisket was cooked perfectly. Would order again. 5/5 We were in and out in less than an hour. We were never rushed and the atmosphere was warm. The prices are reasonable as well.

What can I say about this place? If you like BBQ and Fried fish this is the place for you. The food is cheap and pretty good. Not my favorite BBQ in the world and definitely not as good as the first time I went. But shockingly the fried fish was quite tasty. Oddly enough I may even have to recommend that. The ambiance of this place is like a good ole redneck sports bar. Service is above average if not excellent. Waiter was quite friendly yet unspectacular. If I were in Waynesboro I'd consider this to be a top 5 ish spot on the area. Would recommend.

Second time here and had the BBQ brisket sandwich, it was so tender and good! The bang bang shrimp was equally delicious. This place is really busy at nights and has a large outdoor area attached with plenty of seating inside and out. You can tell the locals love this place and it can get pretty loud even during lunch around the large bar area right in the middle of the main room. Always have had a good meal here, and wanted to stop by again since the server was so pleasant the last time. She made us feel at home with her personality, service is such an important asset that one will remember, it brought us back from afar. Employees are the face of the restaurant and I believe it is imperative to have the best well trained crew to represent a great experience! Overall, The Fishin Pig is definitely going to be a top choice, If I am ever in that area again.

Was disappointed in this place. My companions both got pulled pork and Mac and cheese. Both meals were over cooked and dry. I got fish tacos, Jalapeno cornbread, and coleslaw. The cornbread was great. The tacos and slaw were under seasoned. My beer was delicious-Devils Backbone knows what they are doing in their brewery. Our server was supremely awesome. He made the visit worthwhile. Was way too loud inside and you could not hear the person next to you.

I was excited to try this place for the catfish after getting a recommendation from a friend but I was a little disappointed with the catfish itself. The bang bang shrimp was absolutely delicious and the rest of the food was decent. It was extremely busy, which was a good sign but there was only one waitress there to serve everyone since apparently some folks had called out. Surprisingly, the waitress did well handling the large amount of customers as we didn't have to wait too long for our food. I'd like to go back and give the catfish another try. Next time perhaps.

Great food with great services. Their jalapeño cornbread and collard greens are musts to go along with the bbq.

Is the barbecue gluten free (i.e., none in the rub, sauce, etc.)?

Our BBQ is gluten free and all of our sauces are gluten free except for the Spicy Texas.

We do offer take out options. Please call 540-943-3474 to place an order.

Do they allow dogs on their patio?

I saw dogs there the last time I was there, but I would call ahead because they hadn't finished building the Patio yet.

There were murals on the wall, and other paraphernalia as well. Our server was friendly and attentive, and she was quick to offer refills as well. The cuisine is specifically Sinaloan Mexican, so it is heavily centered around seafood. There were so many unique entrées that I know we're going to have go back and try more stuff. I ordered a shrimp dish ("Camarones al Gusto") with their Diabla sauce. The sauce was very tasty with a medium level of spiciness and a little tang. My mother ordered their Jalapeño Roll, which was a sushi-styled dish. This is the one negative about our meal: she thought the Jalapeño Roll didn't have enough jalapeños and the flavors weren't strong enough. We split fried ice cream for dessert. They have a wide selection of Mexican beers and tequilas. I ordered a Negra Modelo, followed by a Victoria. All in all, I really liked this restaurant, and I look forward to returning.

Our server Selena took her time answering questions about the menu and provided great service. If I had a complaint it would be the place is very loud but that will not stop me from going back.

The service was EXCELLENT. I swear, our drinks from the bar were at the table before we even ordered them, and they were delicious! The food was pretty good. The kids got penne pasta with marina. It tasted like canned marinara, so I wasn't a fan, but they tore into it! I got the veggie pasta and Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were delicious. The veggie pasta was pretty good, though it could have used an olive oil drizzle. My husband had the bison Burger and liked it. We also got dessert. The peanut butter pie was sooo sweet. The cheesecake was a good cheesecake. I would eat there again.

Had both the poppyseed and raspberry vinaigrette dressings which complimented the salad. Leftovers for me and no dessert. Great train area as well for train buffs.
