Here's a clear picture of the current menu. Every time I try to refer someone there's never been an updated picture of the menu.

Under the chile, crema, and lettuce are delicious home made tortillas, fat pieces of fried fish and so much flavor! S/O to Robert for serving us and the cook for whippin it up! My girlfriend loved the tripa tacos too! Crispy & Juicy! The serrano was the cherry on top too! *chefs kiss*

I walked in, to non friendly environment. No greeting. Just got shoved a menu, while I was looking up at the menu. I said hi, and requested my food. The girl was not wearing a mask, she smirked when I gave her my card. She returned it to me. While I waited for my food, her shirt kept riding up and I could see her midriff. Not really appropriate for a food business. The environment was cozy. The color of the restaurant was joyful, and there was a cute mural on the wall. I enjoyed the table placements and the counter. The business is still growing and has a lot to give. I still stand by my 3 stars. The plating and food was amazing!!!! The only reason I come back!

I'm coming back for another 1 of these beauties! It's a fat juicy burger with some mild heat. Delish!!

Of course I had the same thing because I really loved the Asada torta the 1st time & round 2 didn't let me down. Fries = perfectly crisp. Side of onions and peppers that I absolutely loved. This torta is like a super juicy and mildly spicy burger. You know it's good when you are licking the wrapper.

Carnitas burrito was tasty. House-made flour tortilla was a big part of that.

GREAT AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD! Was told they hand make their tortillas so that's awesome. The carnitas was delicious. 10/10 recommend! I got the three taco meal, 2 sopes (these are pretty big too, I got full off of just one) and two soda bottles all under $35.

The street noise, parking lot asphalt atmosphere and heat should not deter you from this wonderful place!! It is not good, it is great! My love and I went here on a whim after we saw it on the side of the road and all the great reviews. We were hangry and had already gone through a ton of monies over the weekend. Well, sometimes there is a diamond in rough, this is one. For ten freaking dollars we got four tacos and a Mandarin Jalisco. Let me start with the pastor, we each got one and they were amazing. I wish there was pineapple but I know everyone does it different, it was so good regardless. There was also a huge amount of pastor accompanied by cilantro, onions and this wonderful salsa! The pollo taco was equally generous on the amount of meat and the chicken cooked and seasoned/marinated perfectly. My boyfriend also got a chorizo taco...holy crap! So good, authentic and HOT!! The service was wonderful, the ambiance is non-existent since this is a taco stand but when food is this good, service is excellent and it is dirt cheap, just shut and enjoy as we did :)

Decided to give it another try because it's on my way to work. The positive is that the taste is decent not bad at all. The bad part is that I was charged $3 because they added a lil bit of tomato to my $14 burrito. Almost $17 for a mid size burrito with mid level taste is wild. My favorite Mexican Food! All the tacos are amazing. I especially love the Pollo, Carne Asada, Al, Pastor, and Carnitas. They also give you a lot of food for the price. And I love the grilled vegetables that always come with your tacos. Everyone I have taken here has also loved this place. The service and ambience are also great. My mom and I decided to try El Big Tacos new location on Main & Stapley. We went for lunch and used the drive through. The owner (Robert) was cooking & the other owner, his wife (Berta) was taking the orders. We both ordered a deep fried (chimichanga style) bean & cheese burrito and each of us had a side of rice and a side of beans. The food was delicious! Berta doesn't speak English so Robert would come from the back to answer any questions we had. They were the sweetest people and made us feel like they were really happy we were there. I highly recommend this place! The building doesn't look like much, but the food was amazing. The burrito I had was so big, I had the other 1/2 for lunch the next day. I should have taken a picture of it, but unfortunately I wasn't thinking about posting a review at the time. read more

Dont bother unless you call ahead to make sure they are actually open. Their posted hours mean nothing. Some weeks they are closed on a monday, some weeks tuesday, some weeks friday or saturday or both. Its a shame, cuz the food is 10/10. But Im not driving an hour anymore to find out they are closed. Also, they dont tell you theres a dollar charge for using a card, but they make sure to charge it. read more

I called to see if they were open because their hours are always messed up and are not updated in google. The lady answered but then hung on me when I said " hi sorry I was just checking if you guys were open" like the ladies are so rude there. Never eating here again! read more

San Diego implants still in search of a good taco joint. We came to this taco truck last night and ordered 8 tacos (4x carne asada, 1 pollo asada, 1 cabeza, 1 lengua and 1 al pastor) carne asada fries and a bean & cheese burrito. 30 dollars for the dinner. Tacos had good tortillas but couldnt hold up to the meat and salsa so a very messy taco. Lengua & cabeza were tasty. Carne, pollo and pastor were overseasoned and a bit overcooked. Bummer their tacos dont include guacamole! Bean burrito tasted like canned beans. Carne asada fries were decent. They were very stingy with their salsa. They handed my bf 2 small salsas. When i went back and asked for more the lady told me "no mas" i had to break out my high school spanish knowledge to tell her i paid 30 dollars here and i want 4 green salsas! read more

NEW LOCATION-- Besides the Food City on Southern and Mesa Dr Staff is friendly and the food is bomb. Tbh they have the best carnitas tacos in all of the Phoenix are of the East and west valley. If you had been to their truck stop place before this place opened, then nothing has changed other than its indoor. The flavor is still bomb as ever. The food is amazing but the service has never been all there... I've came a couple times around 7 or 8 and we're always told they're only taking orders to-go. The customer service is not consistent. We never know if the cashier will be in a good mood or not. Besides that the food has always been 10/10. read more

Best tacos in AZ!! And I like to believe that means a lot coming from me because I've tried most if not all the real Mexican taco places in the valley. I'm from Los Angeles, CA!... we take our tacos seriously and there is nothing compared to the tacos back home, but this place takes the cake for Arizona! Don't let the Little truck or location fool you, it is so delicious and the portions are huge. Unfortunately I have not tried anything other then the tacos but that's a good start. Absolutely loooove their carne asada fries. I come here almost every week and order the same thing! My family orders other things, like tacos or quesadillas they serve decent portions for the price, the quality of the food is good! Their new menu isn't updated with stuff from their old menu but they still serve it all! This is definitely the spot for some bomb carne asada fries, i recommend to everyone. read more

This place is awesome. Compared to other taco places in town, the portions are bigger, and you get a side of grilled onions and jalapeño. The people are friendly. And the food is delicious. The fish tacos are good and I'll Pastor is always great. read more

I was allowed a taste and concluded this was an order well made. Unlike most Mexican food outings I ordered a birria burrito instead of carnitas. Wow, this burrito was truly impressive and so plentiful that I took half home in my eat-later bag. So, this being our third seating at Zona Cantina + Cocina we were yet again impressed and will return another day. Get there if you're able.

The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

Of course, had to wait for the hype to die down before checking it out. Once there, the server explained the process - basically you just place all your orders through the iPad that's on the table. Very convenient to scroll through the different categories and everything has pics to help you decide what to order. Once you have your selections in your cart, you just send your order to the kitchen. You can do this for multiple rounds, basically just small to medium sized orders until you feel like you're at a good stopping point. The first thing to select is the broths. You can choose 2 broths or 4 broths. For our group size, the server recommended 2 broths so everything can heat up and cook quickly. We got the tom yum soup and the three delicacies soup base (seafood, mushrooms, jujubes). We also got an assortment of meats, veggies, etc. The tom yum soup was by far our favorite. The other one was too bland. Honestly I didn't know what all meats we ordered, just that they were delicious. Some other highlights were: pork dumplings, potato noodles, etc. We also got the signature dancing noodle, which I thought was purely for show, but the noodle itself was really great - super chewy. Haidilao is great for groups, especially so you can try a little bit of everything. It's not exactly cheap, but it's for the experience and meats are naturally on the more expensive end. Our total per person ended up being around $50. If your group orders more high end option, it could easily skew closer to $75. Had a great time here, would come back!!

The restaurant definitely leans heavily into the entertainment side of dining. The dancing noodle performance is genuinely fun, especially if you have kids, and the service is attentive. That said, I'm super disappointeed. The biggest issue is the value. By the time you order your broth, proteins, vegetables, noodles, and extras, you're spending the same amount you could spend at a James Beard award-winning restaurant, yet the quality of the food isn't even anywhere near equal. What Haidilao is really selling is the experience, not the flavor. As an Asian woman who regularly makes hot pot at home with family, I came in excited and left sooooo underwhelmed. The ingredients were fine, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The broths lacked the depth and richness I was hoping for, and overall the meal felt more focused on presentation and service than creating memorable flavors. And even then, the service wasn't great. I frequently had to flag down the waitress for a refill or help. If you're looking for a first hot pot experience, celebrating with kids, or want the novelty of the noodle show, you may enjoy it. But if you're already familiar with hot pot and are coming primarily for the food, you may find it hard to justify the price. For us, the experience was memorable (and only because it was our first time trying this place). The meal itself definitely wasn't.

Well I decided to give it one more shot and last night and damn...... bigo taco makin a comeback.
