Now, he proposed that I order from Chipotle instead since they fail to give customer what one paid for. Stopped by on a Wednesday for dinner. Parking lot is kinda crazy since it's shared with EoS, and plenty of other stores in the strip mall. Friendly staff in a no frills spot. Got the $30 Plato Campechano between 2 ppl (half chicken, half a pound of Carne, flour and corn tortillas, rice, beans from the pot, salsas, grill jalapeños, guacamole, limes, and radishes). Decent amount of food, although the chicken and carne were both a bit dry. I enjoyed the beans and rice, and the additional accouterments. Overall, good flavor and seasonings, just dry protein. Not sure if that would change on a busier day if fresh food was being pumped out, but would be open to checking this place out again! read more

We have gotten their carne asada before which is also really good, but we order chicken most of the time. The chicken is very crispy and flavorful. Their flour and corn tortillas are always fresh and so good. We love the guacamole, the rice, beans and the sauce that comes with it. The owner is friendly. They have plenty of seating inside. I'm going to have to just call it out for what it is. I think this was a racial act. I ordered a meal and I asked for beans and a macaroni salad to go. I get it to go. And when I get home to open this bag that was tied together. An alarming amount of gnats flew out of the bag. I was like there is no way this was unintentional. When I open the bag my order is wrong. I got rice instead of the macaroni salad I ordered. I shrug it off like whatever it's all good. I start EATING THE RICE AND SURE ENOUGH THERE IS BUGS IN THE RICE. MIND YOU THE RICE WAS IN A SEALED CONTAINER inside the bag. I have no other choice but to compound this event with a wide range of other events I've experienced throughout my life within the Mexican community. From being charged more because I'm black, to receiving less portions of what I've payed for because I'm black. All of my Mexican friends had to bring this to my attention because I've chalked these experiences up to a simple mistake. But they reassured me it's not. We've compared prices for the same items. Since Pollo Picante closed I figure I give this place a try. Ordered the full chicken dinner combo wich came with 2 sides (rice and beans). Also ordered side of guac and pickled onion. Large Jamaica for drink. Chicken was very yummy, nice crispy skin with nice charred flavor. Bean was soupy style but tasted good. Rice was very blend and lacked flavor, guac was pretty good and so was green salsa. The corn tortilla that came with the meal was also very yummy. Jamaica was tasty except large looked like medium size compare to other places. I wanted to give this place 4 stars but had issues with the kid that took our order. Friendly enough but main issue was that he was eating fast food and he took our order and did not wash his hand as he prepped our food and handed to us. Double whammy was when he went back to eat his fries and next customer came to order he licked his fingers and prepped the next customers food without washing his hands. Good thing he saved the finger licking for next customer and not my food.. I feel bad for giving this place 3 instead if 4 stars but how the food was prepped was not impressive. The food here is incredible. Honestly some of the best chicken you can get anywhere in the valley. I love the salsas they have as well. Great friendly service every time. It does seem the portion sizes are getting smaller last couple times I've been but the food is so tasty. A very underrated gem of a restaurant that serves affordable and just delicious grilled chicken. We ordered the whole chicken with 2 sides and 2 drinks (hibiscus tea) came out to be $32 and we even had a full left over. Service is fast and easy. I highly recommend the grilled chicken. It has that nice smoky taste and texture is not dry. The hibiscus tea is served on ice and very refreshing, not too sweet. Everything was as good, if not better, than I remember. The chicken was freshly made and arrived nice and hot. Great flavor and juicy. I saw that they were making their own flour tortillas and had to try them. Yum! I regret not ordering extra. The fresh tomato salsa and flour tortillas with the chicken were the perfect combo. This is the second time that I have been here. It's really far from my house so I thought that I would hit it up while in the area to introduce my wife. We both love Pollo Lucas in Rocky Point and Pollos LaChuya is the only mesquite grilled pollo in the valley that comes close to Pollo Lucas. We ordered the whole chicken that comes with corn tortillas, two large sides, we got rice and beans, pickled red onions, grilled jalapeños and limes for $18.99. This time the chicken was a bit dry but still flavorful. The beans come in a broth that they cook in and I'm in love with them. The rice is your typical Spanish rice with green onion thinly sliced into the rice. It's good but I mixed in their fire roasted green salsa. It's amazing. We got extra salsa to take home with our left overs. The whole chicken could feed a family of four although you might want to order two additional sides as they are not huge. Even with the dry chicken I will be back. It happens. It wasn't dry the first time I was here. read more

We put the mashed potatoes on the tortillas with salsa, a roasted pepper, and the meat. Best taco of my life. The 1/4 chicken with 1/4 steak is enough for 2 people if you aren't starving, else get the 1/2 portions. The steak was seasoned perfectly and crispy perfect for a taco. The rice is ok. The grilled pineapple is delightful and is awesome added to the taco. Get extra salsa - it's delicious. We recently moved to the area and will be coming here at least once a week I am sure. One thing I'd like to point out- we bought the Groupon for $8 for $15 worth of food. I pulled it up and showed the cashier the voucher. She asked to take my phone and proceeded to click around on it not knowing what she was doing. She then said have you already used this before, it's showed redeemed. I told her I I just bought it and showed you the barcode. Eventually the manager came by and have us the credit but the cashier didn't admit her mistake or say what she clicked. Tip for the future - don't take your customers phones and click on it without their permission and if you don't know how to use the coupon or voucher code, ask before deleting it.
