Nando's stole my heart for AZ authentic Mexican food! This was my first time here and it was for a meeting. I took recommendations before I ordered and I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the enchilada Del Mar which had shrimp and crab inside with a side of rice and beans, it was absolutely Delicious I cleaned my plate! We were a group of about 8 people, and were seated on the patio area on a nice sunny day. Our waitress was friendly and on top of what we needed at any moment. 1/3/25 After class lunch and first visit to this location. Parking 3/5 Entire strip mall was slammed. All business were busy as we arrived about 12:30. Found a parking spot and grabbed our hiking boots to begin our journey towards the restaurant. Atmosphere 5/5 Like the other location (Gilbert?) it is a nice and popular location. Atmosphere is modern Latin good vibes and based on the libations area my guess this place gets pretty slammed on weekends., Service 10/5 We had the pleasure having Lesi as our server. She was prompt, attentive and very polite. Lesi took time to answer questions including some off menu options. We ordered the Hefe fajitas steak chimichangas and the Chipotle Albondiga soup and cheese crisp. Food 5/5 First the cheese crisp was the best we've had. Went to Nandos to celebrate birthday with coworker and ordered the El Jefe Chimichanga and it was amazing! You really have to love grilled onions as there are a lot! The steak is marinated so delicious! The flavors of the green onions, guacamole, sour cream, grilled onions, cheese with the steak was perfect. The steak was not dry and was just so good! I asked for double beans and no rice and it made for a delicious bean dip with my chips. Everything was cooked great and I would definitely order this again! My coworker loved her enchilada and taco meal too! Everything was just delicious! Nandos has happy hour with drinks and food specials from 3-6pm. We had my ride or die's mom's celebration of life yesterday at Nandos. They have a separate banquet room for private parties. The server did a decent job considering there was about 20 of us including kids. The sangria was tasty. I had the taco salad minus cheese since I'm on a weight loss challenge. This was a pretty good place for Mexican food! I really liked that they had a few different vegetarian options. We came in around 4:30pm on a Saturday and only had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Most of the people working were teenagers, but everything ran smoothly and the food tasted great! I ordered the espinaca enchiladas, which were spinach, cheese, onion and tomatoes. It came with refried beans and rice and it tasted like your traditional rice and beans! They serve you chips and salsa (mild and spicy) when you are seated and those were okay. Nothing special. I liked the decorations and the new mural on the wall. Our waiter was good and the food didn't take too long to come out either, especially given how busy it was. Overall, I would come here again because of the good food and service, but it might not be my first choice just because it didn't exceed expectations! read more

Lunch with a friend & my first rime at this location. Matt was our waiter & he was awesome, very engaging, & quite helpful. He took our orders & got our drinks. He even came over to talk to us & we got to know him a little bit. A truly nice guy & really works hard! We both got the beef enchilada lunch special which was just the perfect choice. Food is always great however; let me express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your restaurant that was both frustrating and unnecessarily upsetting. Recently, we placed a takeout order totaling over $60. After picking up the order and returning home, we discovered that the salsa portion of the salsa and chips combo we purchased was missing. While mistakes happen and this normally would not have been a significant issue, we had paid for the item and simply wanted to receive what was included in our order. We returned to the restaurant to pick up the missing salsa. Upon arrival, the blonde hostess at the front immediately asked what was wrong with the order. We calmly explained that the salsa from the combo we purchased was missing. She went to speak with the manager on shift, who appeared to be seated in a booth using a laptop. We were later told his name was either Jake or Blake. Rather than addressing the issue directly, the hostess returned and presented our receipt, which we already had and which clearly showed that the salsa and chips combo had been purchased. We again explained that we only wanted the salsa we paid for. The hostess returned to the manager a second time, and again relayed that he insisted he had personally packed the order and that the salsa had been included. At this point, we politely asked if we could speak with the manager directly to clarify the situation. Instead of coming to the front to speak with us, the manager left the area entirely and went to the back of the restaurant, out of view. He never came to address us himself. Eventually, the hostess returned with the salsa. What made this situation so upsetting was not the missing item itself, but the manner in which the situation was handled. Rather than simply resolving a small issue with courtesy and professionalism, we were effectively questioned over whether the item had been included, required to prove our purchase with a receipt we already possessed, and denied the opportunity to speak with the manager responsible for the decision. It felt as though we were being treated as if we were attempting to get something we had not paid for. We even stated that we did not realize this would become such a difficult situation and offered to pay for the salsa again if necessary, which should never have been required given it was part of the order we had already purchased. Mistakes in orders happen. What should not happen is a situation escalating into a dispute where customers are made to feel unwelcome or dishonest, particularly over a simple missing side item. Additionally, it is deeply unprofessional for a manager to refuse to speak directly with customers who request assistance and instead send a hostess back and forth to handle the matter. Leadership should take responsibility for resolving issues, especially when they involve disputes about orders. Avoiding the conversation entirely reflects poorly on the management and the overall customer service standards of the restaurant. We left with the salsa, but the experience left a very negative impression. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to ensure future customers are treated with professionalism and respect when legitimate issues arise. read more

We have ordered takeout here for years. Always the numero cinco with enchiladas rice and beans. Very little sauce on the enchiladas so we started ordering a side of enchilada sauce to add. Just picked up another order and there was perhaps 1 teaspoon of enchilada sauce on two enchiladas. Drove back and pointed it out to the hostess who then called the manager over. I took a bite without to look at signs of spoild food leaving the restaurant! and as a person who was leading different restaurants, and I know what happened. The green chile sauce and the beans were kept at improper temperature and for too long. Do you try to poison or kill people out of the negligence ? You don't how to handle and store warm food ! so we used to live in Arizona and it just so happens we decided to come back for Thanksgiving this year and visit the old neighborhoods. So of course, on the list of restaurants to frequent while we were back to get our fill, especially if good Mexican food we stopped in at Nandos. See how it went: Ambiance: this is your typical Mexican restaurant. Nice big patio inside is nice although a little bit small and some of the seating for larger groups and a bar right in the middle of serving lots of tasty drinks. . Service: We had a group of eight, and although they couldn't see us inside and asked us to wait about 20 minutes they quickly moved us to the patio that they had closed previously and set us up with heaters and a private table just for us which was super awesome and cozy . Our server was always on time professional friendly, and made sure we were always filled with anything that we needed drinks or food. He also did really well with the kids we brought. Food: honestly, when we used to live in Arizona, I thought that Nandos was just OK on their food but this time I had the fajita bowl and it was really tasty. The meat was good. The chicken was good the shrimp was good and just the combination of the pico, the guac and the black beans without any tortillas or carbs was quite awesome. I'm glad it was a new selection they had on the menu. Everybody else seem to be awesome as well. Everybody enjoyed fully and had too many chips. I would be remiss if I did not mention the huckleberry and coconut margaritas. They are absolutely top-notch super tasty, and for the price honestly a great value considering, most margaritas in Nashville run about 13 bucks. Price: Nandos has always been a decent value and this was no exception to that rule. I think I'll always spend about $130 for eight of us to eat which was not bad considering we all had drinks as well. Summary: This was a fantastic experience, and we remember as we had back home to Nashville and think about coming back to Arizona and having some tasty Mexican food. This was my first time at this location and it was a great experience. This location is a bit smaller than the Val vista location, more quiet, and a little bit brighter inside. We sat at the bar and the service was quick with both bartenders. The food was delicious, as usual! I got the enchiladas Del Mar with grilled vegetables and beans and the vegetables were perfect. Sometimes vegetables can get real mushy when they're grilled/sautéed at restaurants, and these were perfectly cooked and crispy! The refills on both chips and drinks was quick, and the staff was very friendly. At the end of our stay, another customer had a concern and the staff handled the man's tantrum with grace and asked him to leave nicely until he started smashing/throwing things, which he was then escorted out of the building.
