First time visiting here, and I decided to give it a shot despite hearing mixed feedback. I want to share my experience. It was a Monday afternoon, so let's start there: - The welcome was somewhat lukewarm; the staff member cleaning in the back didn't greet us when she saw us, which would have been nice. - I ordered the lengua (tongue stew). It was cooked perfectly, but it was only lukewarm to my preference. Overall, the taste was good. - The tajadas and mariquitas weren't crunchy--they were soggy. - My wife ordered carne asada and asked for it well done, but it arrived medium. Maybe in a Nicaraguan restaurant, temperature isn't a big deal--"just eat it," as they say! Decor it's pretty simple with touch of Nicaragua culture. I encourage you to try it out, but don't expect Miami Pinolandia. Support Hispanic restaurants! Thank you!"

Fritangon Nica is a great spot to order traditional Niceraguan food. You can get a large platter with so many combinations like pico de gallo (rice and beans), beef, chicken, or pork, and sides like sweet plantains and fried cheese. If you get a platter with meat, they will cook the meat in front of you. Everything always tastes so fresh, which is worth the little wait. This is a small spot but perfect for a satisfying, almost home cooked meal.

So I was driving in the area looking for something else and out of nowhere. I see this the food from my country Nicaragua so I decided to come in the ladies were very nice and helpful so I decided to get the typical plate, the carne Asada, rice and beans and they make your Carne Asada at the moment that you order it, the place is very clean. The food looked awesome. When I received my food I was super happy with it. The taste was awesome and maybe if I'll be in the area I'll be back.

This establishment does it right! Great food and it is authentic. Nice selection of import beers and sodas. The staff is nice. There is a little language barrier, but the ladies worked with me and we got my order in. Everything went s prepared with a love of food that their culture is known for. If you love Nicaraguan food, cooked home style, you must stop in and experience this place for yourself!

First time trying Nicaraguan food. I really want to see what their style of tamales is so I got it. Warning: this is steaming hot! They make it when you order it. It's wrapped in foil and it's very hot to touch it! I still had it wrapped right after 10-15 mins and it was still very hot. There was still steam inside. I got spicy version. There is a kick but it's not super spicy. It's definitely a good portion of tamale. It's very seasoned and tasty. There's rice inside and I did find one small meat bone but that's a okay. The meat is very tender and not tough. There are some peppers and seeds inside but it's not super spicy. Btw I can handle medium spicy. My friend got carne asada and she said it's good. It smells good too. When I come back, I'll try other items on the menu. But I definitely get tamale again!

I'm from Nicaragua so I love fritanga! This place is legit. Food is delicious and authentic. Main thing is that the prices are on the higher end side (not typical "fritanga" prices). For example, the carne asada was $16 and the fried cheese was $4. I also got a Pío quinto which was $7....and then I gave a tip so my whole meal was $30

It was exciting to see a Fritanga on Sterling Road in the plaza where Brother's Farmers market is located. When I stopped by, they were having their soft opening. The place was clean and well organized. I ordered Carne asada. It came with rice and beans. I had a choice of sweet plantains of fried plantain chips. The meat was cooked to order which was nice. There were many other options in the case to choose from. I saw huge Nacatamals which I will have to try next time. The meat was cooked just right and had excellent flavor. The rice and beans were lacking a bit. The plantains were cooked just right. The cabbage slaw that comes with the dish was finely sliced and all balanced. I would definitely stop here again in the future. It's nice to see a Fritanga in the area. The service was good and I liked how clean everything was.

So good !! Steak was so juicy and tasty. The rice was nice and soft and the beans were amazing. Fast service and friendly people behind the counter. They play Latin music and have a wide selection of Latin sodas.

$10 for cacao? much rather get a beer.

We chose a two top on the lovely patio. After ordering sweet tea, we were brought a basket of tortilla chips and some spicy salsa. We ordered guacamole and it was perfect. Onto the main courses: She had the taco trio with black beans/rice and I chose a chile relleno with refried beans/rice. Instead of the usual cheese stuffed poblano pepper I opted for steak + cheese, which also had some veggies in it. Very tasty. El G is a charming place and the servers are nice and efficient. We arrived at 1 pm which we found out was the perfect time. It got very busy later. Can't wait to go back with others.

I am so glad I took a chance on this restaurant because we all agreed it will now become a staple in our rotation of places to eat. Additionally, the staff was so genuine, kind, and nice and I love that!

We decided to try some Cuban, Latin foods and we found this restaurant in a walking distance from the beach. It's actually on the Las Olas Blvd. The restaurant is in a small complex with other restaurants so it's hard to find a parking space if you're driving. The restaurant is very nice and clean, the servers are quite attentive and pleasant. We liked the lunch menu prices but only for M-F and it was Sat. So the prices are 40% higher. Anyhow, my wife ordered Mexican steak plate and I had the mixed fajitas plate. The server brought over some magarita samplers which are very cute although we can't taste much. The plates came out sizzling hot and smell wonderful. The steak sauce was very tasty, and the fajitas sauce was excellent too. But both of the steak plates are quite chewy and tough. My chicken and shrimps were fine. The vegetables cooked to perfection. It was quite a full meal for both of us before a long flight back to the Bay. If we decided to move to Florida beach one of these days, we would go here for lunch while laying on the beautiful Las Olas beach. The prices are reasonable compared to CA. Not sure if we get beef again.

It was on a Friday night and they had live music playing with was nice for the occasion. With our pre-selected menu, we ordered a glass of Cabernet, their house salad (very vinegary!!! A tad bit too much in my personal opinion), and for entree the 8 oz baby tenderloin churrasco. (Shout out to one of our waiters! I didn't catch her name but she was honest with the menu recommendations and advised us to order the baby tenderloin churrasco which was a hit!). The mariquitas kept on coming around the table and we were stuffed. Another perk was how fast the service was. Even with our large group, we barely waited in between courses. Though they have a preset menu for corporate type events, our boss was generous enough to let us select off the open menu. The decor is made to look like the inside of a hacienda with the tile roofs and stucco columns (yes you tell I'm a structural engineer :) The music was mostly 80s ballads, and service was very attentive. They even brought one of the desserts with a candle for a colleague's birthday, and took our group's photo. We started with a couple of baskets of buttered herbed Cuban bread and dipping chimichurri, as well as an appetizer sampler including refried beans, fried cheese and tequenos. The fried cheese was served on a little piece of pita bread and is a must try. I also enjoyed the refried bean soup, especially when dipped with plantain chips. As far as my main course, everyone knows how much I love cows! I enjoyed a sizable piece of churrasco, juicy even at medium well, sweet plantains and moros (here they serve it with red beans instead of black beans) and crispy house-made plantain chips. The Tres leches was also very fluffy, with a lot of cream and perfect enough to send me to a nice little after lunch nap. I also washed it down with Cortadito.
