While craving our favorite carne asada we decided to head to Pinolandia on Pembroke Road, little did we realize our GPS informed us that our Pines location was open. We show up to see it's open and we were static. As we went in noticed the long line and patiently waited for our turn to place our order. The wait was worth it, ordered our typical order of carne asada and it didn't disappoint. So glad to see one within mins from our house. The place is smaller than other locations but that's ok we can take to go.

Food is good. The place is small but clean. Service is good. I've been here several times and never had a bad experience.

Food was yummy, service was fast and the food portions were pretty good! Only downfall there was a long line but worth the wait.

Recently went to "El Novillo" restaurant for a 25 year anniversary celebration…read more It was a group of about 25 of us and it was spacious in the seating and table arrangement for all of us to feel comfortable and not cramped up together. It was on a Friday night and they had live music playing with was nice for the occasion. With our pre-selected menu, we ordered a glass of Cabernet, their house salad (very vinegary!!! A tad bit too much in my personal opinion), and for entree the 8 oz baby tenderloin churrasco. (Shout out to one of our waiters! I didn't catch her name but she was honest with the menu recommendations and advised us to order the baby tenderloin churrasco which was a hit!). The mariquitas kept on coming around the table and we were stuffed. Another perk was how fast the service was. Even with our large group, we barely waited in between courses. If you want good Hispanic food on the fly, this is your place.

Though they have a preset menu for corporate type events, our boss was generous enough to let us select off the open menu. The decor is made to look like the inside of a hacienda with the tile roofs and stucco columns (yes you tell I'm a structural engineer :) The music was mostly 80s ballads, and service was very attentive. They even brought one of the desserts with a candle for a colleague's birthday, and took our group's photo. We started with a couple of baskets of buttered herbed Cuban bread and dipping chimichurri, as well as an appetizer sampler including refried beans, fried cheese and tequenos. The fried cheese was served on a little piece of pita bread and is a must try. I also enjoyed the refried bean soup, especially when dipped with plantain chips. As far as my main course, everyone knows how much I love cows! I enjoyed a sizable piece of churrasco, juicy even at medium well, sweet plantains and moros (here they serve it with red beans instead of black beans) and crispy house-made plantain chips. The Tres leches was also very fluffy, with a lot of cream and perfect enough to send me to a nice little after lunch nap. I also washed it down with Cortadito.

When you walk in the restaurant is very clean but it's very busy so pack your time and patients the line moves very fast so that's a plus. When you go there just know that English is spoken very little so learn how to order your food In Spanish it's shows that you at least tried and they very gracious that you tried. Now to the food very delicious and well season I was a little disappointed at how much meat they gave but that was my eye being bigger than my stomach. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Miami.

He recommended a couple of places but we decided this was the closest to us and so we came here. At first glance it doesn't look very appealing from the outside but once you go inside you know your are in the right place. It was packed with people picking up to go orders and on the other side of the place was a huge line of people waiting to order. The line moves pretty fast .We didn't know what to order so we asked the gentleman in front of us what he normally gets. He told us a few of his favorites and so we sort of knew what to get. So you get to the front of the line and it's sort of like Panda Express you tell them what you want from the food in the containers. I chose gallo pinto which is rice and beans mixed together and also got fried pork which sort of tasted like Al pastor and I also got something that is similar to ropa vieja. My husband got the black beans and carne asada with a tortilla. Oh and they have queso frito which we both had .I also got fried plantains and we ordered a manuelita which is like a pancake with something sweet it tastes like pancake with lots of syrup, but not overly sweet. One of the workers came to or table and brought us something that was round almost like a small donut hole. Except it was dough and not to sweet . She said she didn't want us to leave without trying it. I am so happy that we got out of our comfort zone and decided to come and try this food. It was so good. Oh I almost forgot that they also serve you a salad not really a salad it's cabbage and carrots in a vinegar sauce. ( sort of the cabbage that goes on top of Pupusas) and they also have us a sauce which was not that spicy at all but it ha little pieces of diced carrots ana onion . I won't lie that I came home and started to look for Nicaraguan food places in my city. Because it was so good.
