High hopes for this restaurant after reading some pretty good reviews about the burritos. Unfortunately, I ordered the super Azteca burrito and it was missing the guacamole and the beans.. I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't opened up the burrito to look at it. I was still at the restaurant when I asked for the guacamole they gave me a side of it. Unfortunately, it wasn't until I got home that I realized the beans were missing as well. I also felt the Chile Riano and it was really small pretty much just a piece of Chile Reno. My husband got two tacos and he said they were just OK. We were the only two customers at the time sitting inside, so not sure if they had a new employee making the food, but I definitely will not be back! read more

I really enjoyed my visit here today such a cute little place with lots of culture, They have so many options on the menu i didn't know what to choose so i settled for a classic. The Enchilada plate was delicious i finished it in less than 5 minutes. I Also was able to try their Asada Burrito and i enjoyed that as well. They have a green sauce in the fridge by the drinks thats absolutely delicious and complimented both dishes! The Host was super nice and helpful to all our questions! Their potato burrito is very filling and reasonable, and their veggie Chile Relleno taco was solid. They have a great selection of unique veggie and non veggie options and everything is reasonable even if it's not happy hour or Taco Tuesday but if anything you gotta come check this on Tuesday for sure! read more

Ok so maybe this isn't a fair review and I'm going to give them another go around. I was working nearby and had f course I have to try a new spot I haven't been too. I love burritos so I figured I would give them a shot. Good reviews and pics of food. I happened to get there right at 11 when they were opening so maybe they felt a little rushed. I ordered the Pastor burrito. It came out pretty quick especially as I mentioned they were just opening and the employees were just showing up. Anyways I got two red salsas and one green. The burrito was pretty big but for the price I'm not sure. It was very hot though which was nice on a cold day. Not spicy. Overall the burrito was decent. Next time I will wait till about noon and eat inside. If you haven't tried them do check it out. I will be back for sure and I'm thinking my review will be better next time as it looks promising. So I came back the following day. Again for lunch. This time around 12:30. There were a few people in there so it wasn't too busy. I ordered the asada Azteca burrito this time. It came at hot and pretty quick as well. This burrito was much better than yesterdays in my opinion. However still has burritos go there good but nothing special. I would rate them 3 stars. So if I were in the area I would definitely come back but try something other than a burrito. Also so them your review and you get a free churro. Which was good:) read more

This place is decent. It's not super cheap, but it does have a bar connected to it. I grabbed a burrito for lunch. I chose the veggie burrito. It has rice, refried beans, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, and lettuce. It was huge, which was a plus. It was around $12. It didn't take too long, but I was the only one there. The burrito was filling, but it didn't have the most flavor. The rice and beans could be kicked up a notch. I would probably try a meat burrito if you eat meat. This is quick and easy, with parking in front. I will give it another try. read more

Ok Mexican food. The service is ok. But the location is a little scetchy. But overall I would recommend it to a friend.

The bar side of the restaurant is pretty sweet. The staff are friendly and food is pretty darn good. The best deal is the daily special that consists of a huge burrito that is pretty much two meals, chips & salsa, any draft beer, and shot of house tequila for $18. The red and green (hotter) sauces are a nice compliment to the food. The food comes out fast. It's in our weekly rotation. read more

Certain places in PDX are 50/50. Usually the split looks like this: 'okay' food/poor customer service. This is one of those locations. Listen to the bad reviews fr. The food reviews set me up for disappointment as someone who has had authentic Mexican food abroad and in California. I stopped by for a quick bite and there was no other patron inside. The only people there were the cashier and cooking staff. When entering, there wasn't a warm welcome or any "hello". Okay, that's fine maybe the cashier was having a bad day or the northwest gloom got to him. I warmly said, "Hey!" Still...nothing. I looked puzzled and paused and honestly there was an uncomfortable stare-down lasting a few uncomfortable moments. (If you know that meme/gif with P Diddy from Fox's 'The Four' then that should give some context into how the *awkward* dynamic unfolded.) Honestly, from that, I probably should've just left and ordered elsewhere. Tried to still hold out hope and give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. Reluctantly, I went forward with ordering and it was seamless (usual electronic device with a touch screen that allows easy tipping and either tangible payment or digital like Apple Pay). That was fine. Then, silence while the cashier said nothing and handed me my receipt. Not a "thanks" or "your order will be out shortly". Literally nothing; just silence. My carry-out order came out within 10 or so minutes which was nice and the cashier handed me the bag and didn't say anything; just another blank stare (Not a "the silverware or napkins are located over there" or anything). Hmmm, guess that's okay since it was easy to locate those items myself. As I was leaving, I saw the in-store sign stating "Yelp review for a free churro or drink" and then was like "oh, that's cool, you can Yelp and get a free drink?". The cashier said, "Yea...". I awkwardly smiled and wrote my review while he stood close by watching to (I guess?) make sure I was writing the review then I was handed my cup. I got a Sprite from the dispenser that tasted flat immediately. At that point, my internal dialogue was like "hmmm it's free, so can't complain much". Then, I dipped to eat my food elsewhere to reclaim the rest of my day from that weirdness. When I ate, I noticed that the food was warm and tasted fine but honestly it was not the best Mexican food I've had. If you're familiar with Mexican food from either Mexico or Southern California (San Diego or Los Angeles), lower your standards to avoid the disappointment I mentioned. Within 2 hours, I had felt ill with gastrointestinal symptoms. After all of that, I likely won't return. *If you're in the area, I would recommend to instead visit Taqueria Mendoza if you're looking for better customer service, cheaper and more authentic food, less of an awkward encounter, and not getting sick.* 1 star for an easy payment system and another for the legible menu and wide variety of options. To keep it a 100, I can't really see myself returning for either though. read more
