We were in the area and just wanted a quick snack. I ordered the three taco deal togo. They whipped it up in 10 minutes and we were to be on our way. Ooops. I had to ask for napkins and utensils after spending $18 and $2 tip? Then they only put one fork in the bag and two napkins when I told them I was eating in the car. Bad service. Came in tonight and was sat immediately, it was so disheartening to see how empty it was. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants around for the price and the people are LOVELY! It has some of the best service. A great two person meal with dessert was $42 where down the street you can get the same meal for $60-80 but without the comfort and vibe of this place. We were pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Went with a group of 11 people, and they set up a nice long table in the back room so we could hear and see each other. My dinner, Chalupa and Enchilada Platter, did not rate up there with my favorite Mexican restaurant servings in the past however I found my dinner to be decent enough and there was nothing wrong with anything. My first inclination was to give a 3 star rating but after comparing my experience to other comparable Mexican restaurants I have been to, and that's a lot, I really feel inclined to give them 4 stars. The apparent quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the food really rose above many other places. It tasted just fine. Nothing swimming in grease or oil. I'm truly disgusted by the service here first when I enter in here they were slow then they seated us in a table we waited 20 mins for what drinks we said our party is not complete but we still order our drinks when our rest of my party came they saw us and made us wait 30 mins for what drinks? And plus the place wasn't even full when we finally got our drinks we were ready to order the waitress just left without asking you want to order then we had to wait a other 30 mins again when the waitress came back to ask what we well eat me and my family order our food but when I ask for nachos and I ask you put meat they said they well literally charge me 8 dollars for what meat you gotta be serious we had to wait a HOUR I repeat a HOUR for our food just to be dry and disgusting but guess what we ate it cause literally it was so expensive so we didn't want to waste my cousin didn't eat it cause god it was so horrible some old waitress came back and saw how my cousin didn't eat anything she gave her a bad look and then mumbled "she doesn't know how to eat" When we finally finished eating we ask for the check holy 140 dollars for 5 plates of food that was disgusting. I am pleasantly surprised by how good this place is. I had a craving for fajitas and placed an order for pickup. I got the trio fajitas, jalapeño poppers, and churros. The meal was ready in about 25mins, was packaged so nice and securely and reasonable priced. Let me tell you the fajitas were delish! Huge prawns, lots of tender streak, and juicy chicken. They even packaged all the toppings securely too. The poppers weren't actually jalapeños but bell peppers instead which was kinda bummer but still yummy and the churros were so delicious I stuffed 2 of them down even tho I could hardly breath from being so full already. Friendly and quick service, everyone was so nice. My fiancé had the Carne Asada with the homemade tortillas and it was so good. I had the Carnitas burrito and that green sauce is to die for. Hidden Treasures Just by luck we got a lunch paid for by our company and delivery thru grub hub or we wouldn't know just how good this place is. The food we got was extremely tasty and the portions were very large. That's when we knew we had to go in person to check this place out. Now after many visits we can say the food is always hot, fresh, tasty and the drinks are the bomb. Not a high-end restaurant but the food is always good. The servers are very good. The margaritas are so so. I find them too sweet, but if that is your thing this is your place. The atmosphere is fun, I love all the wall paintings and the seats are very spacious and comfortable. The location cannot be beaten. We went to the restaurant for "the stiffest drink in 15 years," and it didn't disappoint. Flavored margaritas are $10.95 and regular are $9.95, they did not have the price on the menu but I thought the margaritas were amazing, especially since they are pretty hard to find in the Portland area. The decor is very dated and most of the lights in the restaurant were off dispute arriving over an hour till close. Our server was friendly and I did I appreciate the complementary chips and salsa, but keep it coming.... The food was good and I enjoyed my time there. I would recommend the shrimp fajitas. Your food comes out HOT HOT HOT. Prices are decent and I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed. read more

I have been here now a few times when I am in the area, I first came with a date who really liked it. The food is good, with some not standard options which is nice. The food is always good. Service is always fast and friendly and my water and drink (usually a Coke) are never empty for long. Also they don't seem to notice if I just order an appetizer for my meal. The space is nice with some quirky touches, I'm not a fan of the carpet or the stone horses though. It is always clean inside. We will NEVER be back here.... I went with my daughter, 3 year old grandson and 1 year old grandson. When our food came the manager and server put my plate in front of me and said it is very hot. As he was pulling his arm away the baby put is hand in the refied beans and got 3rd degree burns. The food was decent, the service was fine, but we will not be back, and here is why- we entered with our service dog in training and were seated at the first table in the restaurant. The dog went under the table and laid down, as she is training to do. The server walked us and asked to see her tag. She does not have a tag. She is in training, we are training her, and we are part of a home training program where she is legally backed as a service animal, even in training. We were asked to move to another table so we didn't bother the other customers. I asked, "why would a service dog bother people?" "Because they will ask if you have the tag." Ummmm no, they will not. So we were moved to a table on a side of the restaurant where no one else was. Our dog helps my child that suffers from anxiety and panic disorder. She keeps him calm and it's very important to me that he feels welcome, along with his service dog, wherever we go. We did not feel that here. So, we will not be back. Please educate yourselves and don't make assumptions. Not all disabilities are visual.
