We came in on Saturday afternoon 11/9/24 for a light lunch/snack around 2:30pm. We sat at the bar and we were waited on by a friendly and efficient server that we had never had before. We have great service here 95% of the time - this time included. I ordered a michelada as I always do - if you've never had one- try it! Bloody Mary mix with Modelo. Served with a Tajin rim and a lime. I order one EVERY time we come in. Knowing we would be going to dinner later, I wasn't in the mood for a full meal. I ordered the bean dip and an a la cart ground beef tostada. Unfortunately, the bean dip was disappointing. It was thin refined beans with runny queso. If it was seasoned at all, I couldn't tell. Maybe if the cheese had been grated cheese it could have been better. I didn't complain because I assumed that's how it was supposed to be? The ground beef tostada was so good! The beef had great flavor! There was a good amount of beef and the other toppings were fresh. I would order that again, for sure! He ordered 3 carne asada taco dinner (as always) and 1 a la cart ground beef taco - American style. The carne asada tacos were delicious and the ground beef taco in a soft corn tortilla was a delicious addition to the usual meal. Ordered online, arrived 5 minutes early to pick up and waited 15 minutes. Very disappointed to get home and instead of extra cheese sauce(paid for) I got almost no cheese sauce on my texas burrito. Most days I would go back for it but it's snowing and cold. read more

We came in tonight with our family of 8. In the past we've had a great experience. However tonight was not good. We had a hard time with both the food and service. One of the dishes was not made correctly so it was sent back and it came back wrong again. We did not bother to send it back again. We just didn't eat it. When the dishes were cleared and the food was untouched, the server did not ask if there was a problem with it. We were not offered refills on beverages. This is not usual for this location. One of the guests in our party was in a high chair at the end of the table and service people kept going over the top of the high chair with racks of glasses. This made me very upset. This is a shame because we have always enjoyed our previous visits. We will not be returning. read more

Placed an order by phone and it was wrong when I picked it up. She repeated the order on the phone and it was exactly what we wanted. We picked it up and it was not. Food is really good and the service is always great. Usually pretty busy and the ambience is very good. The only complaint I have is with the margaritas lately, which knocks my review down 2 stars. They just aren't great like they used to be. We've noticed they don't have a dedicated bartender, so the servers make the drinks. Unfortunately it depends on who is serving you on how your margarita is made. Even though they have a menu of margarita options, it can vary greatly from visit to visit, sometimes we've had to send them back because they didn't even taste like a margarita at all? One visit we got one that tasted like tequila and triple sec... it was undrinkable. When we sent it back and asked for another one, the new one came out tasting pretty much the same... ugh. If management can teach consistency and offer a perfect margarita every time, this place would be 5 stars. read more

Got some super yummy takeout tonight! By boyfriend has been craving shrimp tacos and he said they really hit the spot. I got Camaron al Mojo de Ajo and my boyfriend got the shrimp tacos. All the ingredients are fresh, the grilled shrimp is delicious and the tortilla chips are amazing too. All the staff are super friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend! Visited on 4/5/24 and had the best service with my waiters, however when I went to the front desk to ask for a bag for my boxes I was ignored for 5 min at least (@ 7:15pm). This younger brunette girl was completely incompetent and disrespectful. I highly suggest you do not place a person with her type of integrity at the front of your establishment. I had the best experience until then. After her ignoring me and finally getting me a bag after I asked she was highly aggressive and rude. I couldn't believe it. Tried to bring a party of 15 in for dinner and drinks, were told they wouldn't accomodate us, we should go somewhere else. Went for dinner. Typical American Mexican fare. Had the #16 combo. Two tamales, beans and rice. Tamales didn't have a lot of pork filling and were a little dry. Overall it wasn't bad. Best authentic mexican food I have had thus far. I'm from Ann Arbor, so there's not much of good mexican food there. I happened to be visiting muskegon for a short period of time and have dined here twice. It's that good. The menu is hugeeeee. So many options to choose from. Loved it. Complimentary chips and salsa on arrival. I had the chance to enjoy their burrito texas which was packed with shrimp, beef and chicken topped with crema fresca, pico de gallo with a side of rice and beans. Delicious. Prior to that, I dined with a friend and we ordered a handful of dishes (chicken fajitas, chicken quesadillas, and enchiladas combo plate). No complaints. I love the atmosphere of this place. Parking lot kinda small with the gym next door, but I truly enjoyed all the workers working hard to make sure everyone had a great time. Check your credit card bill - left a 25% tip and they still cycled my credit card for more than the authorized amount. They're stealing from their customers and most people will never notice unless they match their receipts to the credit card bill. read more

The food tastes amazing, the prices are lower than what I would expect for the size and quantity of food I got. The service was a little slow, but it actually turned out to be a good thing because it allowed me to not fill up on chips and salsa and instead be able to eat and finish my burrito. My date even managed to have about half of her food to take home. Also, afterwards we sat and talked and they didn't constantly bother us, they allowed us to finish our conversation in relative peace. Very good food and good service, but last night was our second visit in a row where the mixed drinks and little, if any, liquor in it. My wife's ordered a vodka and tonic that she sent back. The waiter brought a second vodka and tonic for her that included the vodka. I ordered a large margarita on the rocks during our previous visit that didn't taste like it had tequila in it. I know it's not good to drink on an empty stomach, especially such a large drink, but despite this being the case, I did not feel the slightest bit from the margarita.
