This is probably the best place to go after the linger martini bar. Me and my friends stop by on most days after we leave the bar. When we go we usually get the shrimp tacos and fried ice cream. I'm not a fan of horchatas but my friend Clyde insists it's the best he's had in a bit. The service is pretty quick especially for what we order. I'm talking 4 guys over 250 lbs and my girl who won't let me put her weight. Steven's girl is kinda small but she puts away at least 6 tacos when we go. Very good tacos. I had a carne asada, a grilled fish taco and a shrimp taco. Both the grilled fish and the shrimp were excellent, with lots of seafood and fresh, soft corn tortillas that held up to the fillings. The carne asada was just average. I'll come back for the shrimp alone. read more

so good! very surprised! we each ordered a 3 steak taco dinner. the chips and salsa appetizer was delicious. chips were warm and tasted homemade, and the salsa was spicy but very tasty! took the chips home and they were still good 2 days later! our meals came out in less than 10mins. the tacos came out HOT, which is good. the steak was sooo tender and flavorful. it came with a side of beans and rice. i couldn't even finish everything. definitely a new favorite! read more

Do not go here after 4-5pm. Before 4 this place is high quality top notch. There is a different crew that cooks after 4 and they really do a horrible job. My shrimp tacos were not cooked or seasoned. This is consistent as I order after work yet go in daytime on weekends. It is honestly like two completely different restaurants between afternoon and nights. Their food is delicious but the lady cashier was very ignorant. She didn't ask what kind of tortillas I wanted with my dinner. I asked for a different kind and told me I needs to specify when ordering but she didn't even ask me what kind I wanted. As far as Mexican food goes this place is pretty good (el Cortez is wayyyyy better.) However the man that claims to be the owner has a major attitude problem. I called in an order for him to just mock me and talk over me. I came in to pick up but first told him he was rude and he argued with me telling me he didn't need this shit and went on and on. A new spot in the neighborhood and is the best around! I prefer the steak tacos, with lettuce tomato and cheese. The flavor is good, and you can tell the guys working in the back are clean, and seems to have good hygiene. The wait is not long. There is a place for in dining, but I've noticed people mainly order to-go. It would be nice if this place would be BYOB. They have really good chicken tacos. On Sunday they have 1.25 tacos. However, they don't come with chese. You have to pay per taco for cheese. Whatataco has .99 cent tacos with everything.. the beef tacos here are super greasy.. customer service has been pleasant every visit.. if they had real cubed steak instead of that Philly like steak I'd give them 5 stars. read more

After all of the good reviews about how the food in the services I have a surprise for you they suck I went in at 6:40 and Order chips and guacamole the large one the young man told me it would take about 5 minutes for them to prepare it fresh after five minutes passed I was patient and asked if there was a problem with making it because it was now passing the five minute wait. Aftwr now 10 minutes of waiting, I asked the cashier what was really going on with a simple order. He then tells me that the owner realized that he didn't have any more avocados after I had stood there for not the five minutes and waiting but I was patient for an additional 5 minutes then he didnt offer anything like water. He then laughed when I asked him for my money back and I told him I didn't see anything funny. They lost a customer not only am I going to post this bad review on every site I can, all they had to do was tell me the truth. This restaurant is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants in the suburbs of Chicago. It's rich in ethnic art in respect to the Latino community. The food is fresh and so delicious. The restaurant is clean. And of course, the staff is really great! read more
