My family and I have been coming here for over a year now, recently service is just not great. VERY slow inattentive service. Coctel's being delivered without the crackers/tostadas/mayo... additional guests arriving to the table and drink orders not being taken. Aside from the service the food is always good. The cóctel didn't taste very fresh but we did visit around diner. The restaurant does feel a little out dated and not well maintained dirty floor, wobbly table and chairs. read more

Ordered Pescado tacos for pick up. Walked in, there was a podium that says wait to be seated and I waited for about 10 minutes. They werent busy, only two tables eating. It's the two ladies, waitresses walked around a little bit or just stood there and ignored me. Finally, after about 10 minutes, I saw one of them, grab my finished meal and walk closer towards me and set it on a table then turn to walk away again without acknowledging me. It was ridiculous. I had to raise my voice and ask if that was my order. Now I'm a white woman. They weren't busy so I can only attribute it to racism. The tacos were OK but not what you traditionally get. First bite and my first impression was how salty it was! Also the Clamato broth was very thick and the onions were somewhat bitter and too strong for my liking. There was minimal veggies, only little bits of diced cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. Then to my horror I noticed the shrimps were never deveined!!! Gross. Couldn't even finish my meal. OMG! This place is so good! I had a battered shrimp taco, this was ehhh, the shrimp had a weird taste...not sure if it was the shrip on the breading, but it was ehh. The tostada how ever, chefs kiss! It wasnt overly spicy that you cant enjoy the other flavors, they bring you tostadas & saltines to pair with it as well as a bunch of different salsas to add to it. They have spanish music playing in the background, loud enough to get you moving in your seat, but not too loud that you cant hear your company. I don't make it to the west side very often, but next time I'm in the area I will be back for another tostada! The agua chile green did not have enough of the sauce. A little strange that it came with strawberries and oranges but good nonetheless. Upon getting to the bottom of the salad I discovered it was brown and going bad. That made me dislike it. Heading home from Luke afb, thought I would bring some treats home for dinner. Drove up to front, sign said pick up and to go. Young woman brought me menu. Decided on breaded shrimp with beans and rice, and a fish taco. About 10 minutes, order brought out. Checked in with Yelp and got a 10 pct. discount. Wife thought the fish taco was good. I was less than impressed with my $17 dinner. Nice portion of shrimp, flavor was good, but they were overcooked and rubbery. Beans were thin, like a dip, and rice was just strange.
