Food poisoning! DO NOT EAT HERE!! My mom and her friend stopped by to eat at this random restaurant. What a mistake. Both of them have been battling food poisoning this entire week after eating here. To add insult to injury the service was terrible and confrontational! When they mentioned that the food tasted bad they were confronted with a "So, what do you want me to do about it?" The trash waitress had the nerve to insult them by insinuating they were after a free meal? Fix your trash food and fix your non existing customer service. Maybe, if I call the city and let them know what goes on here the problem will get fixed. At least it will help other people from getting sick. Today was my fist time going here, the food was amazing! I went with the shrimp fajitas, they come with rice, beans, tortillas, and even a side salad. I skipped the aforementioned because I'm trying to do that Atkins diet thing. Anyways, there was enough for me to eat and still get full without the sides. which is to say, that the portions here are definitely on the large side so trust me when I say you are definitely getting your money's worth! As for the food, it was awesome! Good flavors, not over cooked, and a solidly large portion of it. The Price was what you'd expect for seafood. $$ but worth every penny. I did my best to communicate with the waitress in my best broken Spanish and her in her best broken English. (Yeah I'm that guy, sorry) Luckily for me my coworker filled in the gaps because she's fluent. But, if I'm honest, I prefer my Mexican style food prepared by people who don't have English as a first language. Originally from LA, I'm used to having many choices of sea food. I was in search for a good spot, and came across this location and thought I'd give it a try. Definitely wasn't worth my $16. I got a Botana de Camaron to go. It hardly had any like in it, I had to squeeze some from home to add juice to it. It came with only 2 slices of avocado. The flavor was very salty and had nothing that stood out. Plus they gave me a container of some kind of "hot lemon juice", it was definitely bottled lemon juice which tastes awful when compared to real lime. We sat down and we're greeted in such a hostile/rude way by the server named "Sandra" she came over and she got our drink orders. The whole time she just seemed upset that we even walked in as if she didn't want to work. We weren't rude in no way, we just wanted to eat some mariscos as the weather was extremely hot this day& we've come to this restaurant in the past and never had an issue. I guess we walked in on the wrong day. She takes our order and a few min later brings over the food the whole time she never came to ask if we needed utensils/straws never once asked us for a refill. We had water bottles in our bag and we literally just refilled our own drink with our waters. Lol sounds crazy and even silly that I'm even writing this review but this wasn't okay. We didn't come in asking for free food we paid for our food , to be given such poor customer service. The whole time she kept looking over and giving us ugly looks. The food was very good, but as for the service, I was not at all impressed. We ordered guacamole to enjoy before our food arrived, we didn't get it until our food came. We obviously ordered it to enjoy with chips and the waitress could see that we didn't have anymore, yet never asked if we needed more, so we had to ask her. It took her 25 minutes, because she forgot about us, keep in mind that there were only 3 tables with customers, including ours. She never came by to offer drink refills, until well after we finished our food. When she finally did, It turned out the coke didn't work, so she offered me a different flavor, I asked her for orange fanta. She refilled my coke cup with orange soda, SO UNCLASSY! This is the best Mexican sea food restaurant I've ever gone to! I absolutely loved my experience here. It was amazing. Personally, I am not a big sea food fan but this restaurant changed me. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and finished it all in one sitting because that's how delicious it was. I was unable to take a photo of my food because once it got to my table it looked sooo good I just started eating. The service at this place is great too. It didn't take long for me to get my food and the waitress was so kind to me always making sure I had what I needed. There was also a hardworking bus boy making sure everything was going well. Overall, this is the best sea food restaurant I've ever gone to and I plan to return because my oh my it was delicious and the service was amazing. This place sucks. The service was super slow, the Jamaica water tasted like it had gone bad, asked for a different drink, the waitress seemed like she got mad. The waitress never checked up on the table when there was only one other table with 2 people.
