The floor super dirty
Norma H.

The worse restaurant I ever been it was so dirty, I had to ask the cashier to clean the tables, the floor was super dirty !! I will not recommend this place to anyone. Who will want to eat In a dirty place? Not me!

Torta with foil

Really disappointed today. I called in an order and they said 15 minutes but weren't ready when I arrived. Also the lady cut a torta wrapped in foil and I found little pieces of foil that I wouldn't have been able to catch if I did not look closely...

I missed the flaky tortilla of Cotixan's in San Diego, until now. This was amazing. A little back door area with tacos, burritos and tamales- stocked full of all your classic taco toppings. So ridiculously good I kind of teared up in happiness. Hubby ate the chorizo, pastor (the real kind with pineapples) and I had a veggie burrito with aguacate. The tortilla kinda of flaked a little when you touched it. I'm in heaven.

Dos Barbacoa Tacos y Dos Al Pastor Tacos

Weekend nights they do everything fresh out back! Can't beat their products or prices. One of the cheapest lunch spots in Lancaster, and everything is SOOOO good. If you want some real, authentic "street corner" Mexican food, this is your place. There are plenty of great Mexican sit-down places around, but if you want the real deal, this is it. Been there so many times in the past few weeks, we can't get enough. Fast and delicious.

After reading the reviews I headed down to try the tacos. They were ok, but not great. And they don't wear gloves while preparing the food.

The chicken burritos are juicy and well-marinated never dry and the vegetarian tostadas are crisp, fresh, and thoughtfully made, proving that every item on the menu gets real attention. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. This is reliable, feel-good Mexican food done with care. A true local favorite that keeps you coming back.

The one board has a sign telling you to "Please drive to the window." Thankfully there was no one ahead of me. Since they can't even start your order until you get to the window I couldn't imagine being second or third in line as my wait, after ordering, was 10 minutes. At the window I was greeted by a very friendly older gentleman who took my order. He asked if I would like him to add some chips in. I had ordered a carne asada burrito. It was very good. In addition to the rice and beans there was lots of meat. A good facelift and fixing the ordering speaker would them up to a 5 star.

In town this week, my brother and I stopped by Don Gus for some old fashion Mexican Lunch…read more The food here is amazing and feels like its home made. We started with home made chips, fresh salsa and an amazing bean dip that had what tastes like chorizo and a hot sauce mix, it is addictive, a must have. Then we ordered our main meals, the Flautas have a lot of flavor and chicken served with guacamole and sour cream, we had the appetizer version, well worth it. We also had a nice sized 2 item lunch special, Chicken hard shell taco, cheese Enchilada typically with Rice and Beans, today I felt like a full plate of beans, all of the food was just like my mom made it, so good. They have many other lunch special options. We decided that a few drinks were a must. My brother ordered the Large (gigantic) Strawberry Margarita, not sure how he finished it on his own but it looked amazing, he said it had a lot of flavor. I had a large Modelo beer that really tied in the entire meal. The interior is old school Mexican theme, with various classic paintings with very plush furniture. The staff is very friend and come by to check on you on the regular. We felt well taken care of, we cannot wait to visit again. This is a hidden gem.

Okay we ordered take out. Yeah I know you always get F$@/ed over with take out and drive thru…read more Got home and first they advised they don't include chips and salsa with take out? (WTH!! If I was in the restaurant you'd give them. Was the thought in my head) dude must have heard my mind cause he said I'll include since your order is so large. The tray of tacos that were supposed to be a mix of 3 hard shell ground beef tacos, 4 asada, 1 chorizo , 1 shredded beef and 3 chicken with soft shells turned into 6 hard shells with burned beef (maybe) and 3 hard chicken shells. The Albondigas Soup didn't even come with the rice and cilantro! My sons Pescado Tostada de Ceviche and Camaron Tostada de Ceviche didn't have the actual tostadas so I am really wondering if they forgot to give us a bag. The posole Don't have any radish or cabbage to add to it. And my daughter in law tossed the tamarind out cause she said it tasted spoiled . My hard not soft shelled chicken taco had bones in it. Please the pic! But note my mother who's currently sick said her Albondigas soup tasted ok to her. Let just say for the $$ I spent I am very unhappy!! I am thinking of calling the inspectors about the taste and freshness of this food as I am already feeling funny. I implore you to stop and rethink then change destination's before heading to this place. I ended up having to eat a bowl of cream of wheat cause my stomach felt funny.

The place is always so clean and proudly display their A rating right by the door. They've got about eight styles of meats to choose from and the prices for the tacos are SO affordable. They also offer a full menu of classic Mexican plates which include rice and beans... they also have menudo and lots of other stuff. If you're dining in be sure to get the complimentary chips and salsa while you wait. The table salsa is to die for... it is superb. There was one cashier on the phone and two other girls serving tables, so it took a minute before we could place our order. It's a small, casual spot with people constantly coming in and out. I ordered a sopes plate with a taco de tripas. The sopes themselves were actually really good, but unfortunately my rice and beans were cold, so I didn't eat them. The tripas were overcooked. So crunchy they felt like eating popcorn, which was disappointing. My husband ordered a torta de carnitas and a taco al pastor. The al pastor marinade was pretty mediocre, nothing special, and the torta was just okay. We also ordered a burrito with asada and rice only and again, the rice came out cold while the meat was hot. They did bring us chips and salsa, and the red spicy salsa was actually good, probably the best part of the meal. Overall, this place is okay but very mediocre. With how expensive eating out is these days, I'm really picky about where I spend my money, and this didn't feel worth it. There are definitely better, Mexican spots in Lancaster that I'd rather go to. I probably won't be coming back.
