We stopped by Tortilla Grill and it was pretty busy when we walked in, so we stood around for a bit waiting to be helped. There was one cashier on the phone and two other girls serving tables, so it took a minute before we could place our order. It's a small, casual spot with people constantly coming in and out. I ordered a sopes plate with a taco de tripas. The sopes themselves were actually really good, but unfortunately my rice and beans were cold, so I didn't eat them. The tripas were overcooked. So crunchy they felt like eating popcorn, which was disappointing. My husband ordered a torta de carnitas and a taco al pastor. The al pastor marinade was pretty mediocre, nothing special, and the torta was just okay. We also ordered a burrito with asada and rice only and again, the rice came out cold while the meat was hot. They did bring us chips and salsa, and the red spicy salsa was actually good, probably the best part of the meal. Overall, this place is okay but very mediocre. With how expensive eating out is these days, I'm really picky about where I spend my money, and this didn't feel worth it. There are definitely better, Mexican spots in Lancaster that I'd rather go to. I probably won't be coming back. read more

I just moved into the area earlier this year with some family from Los Angeles so finding New GOOD Mexican food was going to be a challenge. Tortilla Grill is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant in the Antelope Valley. The food and service is always %100 which is why I always come back! The worker Jackie is an exceptional worker and super friendly, she gives the restaurant a good energy. Thank you Jackie for making sure I was satisfied and my order was complete. I grabbed lunch recently from Tortilla Grill after not going here for about 3 yrs due to the fact i moved away. I brought my mother with me and i loved the new menus they have, that display their plates. Very helpful with an elderly person. I got the tacos and boy there were big and fully packed with meat. They tasted so good my mother got a burrito and she said it was also very good. I just wish their salsa had changed a bit it lacks spiciness. First off I really like how friendly the staff is. The service from everyone I interacted with was exceptional. The inside is a bit small but I've never seen it so busy that it is difficult to get a seat. They also do take out too so that's always an option. I ordered a #4 Torta y Taco combo with carne asada as my meat. I was eating in the restaurant so I got complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were sturdy, warm, and had a strong corn flavor. The salsa was very refreshing and had good flavor. It took about 6 minutes for my entree to arrive. It's a full meal that includes rice, pinto beans, and lettuce. The cheese on the beans is a nice touch and adds extra flavor and texture. The rice and lettuce were pretty standard and didn't stick out for any wrong or right reasons. The taco was hot and I really loved how the edges of the tortilla got crispy. The torta was a bit of a miss but still good. Some of the onions felt funny (outer layer?) and the bread was uninspiring. I really liked the inclusion of avocado though. Overall this is a good restaurant and I see myself coming back here every now and then. read more

Me and boyfriend I just came to this restaurant and ordered a torta and taco plate as well as the taquito plate. The taquitos tasted horrible I got the chicken ones and the chicken tasted old and had a really weird flavor I couldn't even stomach one of the taquitos I had to throw the whole plate away. As my for boyfriend he said his plate tasted old as well but we spent 31$ on our order so he tried to eat it so we don't waste but I could not. This place is not good I think their oil and everything is bad. Highly don't recommend. I will not be coming here again. read more

I used to like going here because the food was really good compared to other Mexican places in the antelope valley. But the last couple of times I've gone we have not been satisfied with our food. The carne asada meat tastes different. My huarache was so hard to cut. My boys said their burritos didn't taste good. My husband's fish taco was not good either. I'm wondering if management changes or they made changes to the ingredients they use. It will be a while until I decide to order here again. read more

I used to come here once a week, but it's not the same since the new ownership. I have given them several chances, but the food is too inconsistent... the chicken in the tacos seems old and is never hot, the french fry grease needs to be changed. Today I received a basket of chips with two or three chips that already had salsa stains on them. I guess the clientele has changed as well, cause some type of construction worker just came and sat in the booth with me on his phone... didn't say a word, just came and occupied the seat my wife was just sitting in two minutes earlier. Sad cause this place used to be great, but no thanks. Too many bad experiences... that is if you can catch them on a day that they are not just randomly closed. I won't be back. read more

It's been almost a year since the last time we ate at Tortilla Grill. We stopped coming because Jimmy informed us he was selling the restaurant & moving. We were discouraged to come back because with new owners/management comes changes to the menu & service. So today was the day we decided to go back & try our luck... We hoped for the best but also knew we might get disappointed. When we walked in the restaurant, we noticed it was busy as usual. This was definitely a good sign. We were quickly greeted by Jackie & she took our order. I ordered the usual menudo & lengua tacos. To my surprise the food looked & tasted the same. The lengua tacos were full of tender meat. If you like lengua, it's a must try. The menudo was so delicious & it was packed with goodness. Only difference I noticed was the menudo was a darker red but definitely had the same great flavor. Jackie kept checking up on us to make sure everything was good. The service at Tortilla Grill is better than most restaurants. Mind you it's a small family own business & they still provide great customer service. We will definitely continue to come back to enjoy the great food we always love here... read more
