Haven't been here in a while, so I wasn't sure what to expect or if anything had changed. The last time we visited, we had a server named Gonzalo, so I was curious to see if the experience would be the same. I'm happy to say it absolutely was. We came in with a party of eight, and everything was just how I remembered. The food came out hot and in a timely manner, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The owner even stopped by our table several times to check in and say hello, which added a really personal touch. To top it off, we were treated to complimentary dessert. This is exactly the kind of experience that keeps us coming back. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area--or even if you have to drive a bit--for some great quality Mexican food. read more

Went in on a Thursday for lunch. There was parking but parking can definitely be tricky especially on weekends. Service is great. All servers are attentive. Food is good and very traditional. I ordered the enchiladas suizas and they were good. Chilaquiles are also tasty. Restaurant is clean and decorated nicely. Beware. We recently had a large group and event at this Restaurant and we had many issues and problems with the owner who is a very crooked business man and makes the rules as he goes. He changed our agreement and the terms several times and at the end over charges us in the amount of $250.00 dollars. Not an honest business man. This place was pretty darn tasty! I had the carnitas wet burrito in green sauce and the carlistas were flavorful, abundant and juicy! I got some tender pieces and some nice, crispy pieces. The guacamole was fresh, not store bought. I liked the green sauce. I very pleased with my burrito. They serve fresh chips and salsa. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. I love the yellow walls, so bright and pleasant. I appreciate they are God loving and share their restaurant with church people! WOW!!! To say I was impressed with this business would be the understatement of the year I went in to order two lunches to go. I was invited to wait at one of their tables and was immediately given chips and salsa. My wife is from Santa Fe, New Mexico, so I am familiar with both Spanish and Mexican food. This restaurant is hospital clean. The cashier noticed I had a balance issue and asked where my car was so he could place my order in the car. I was greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. I was given chips and salsa. The salsa was flavorful without being super spicy which I enjoyed. I was also told that they had a salsa with more heat but I was enjoying the one given to me. They offer many choices so it took me a bit to order. Lots of great menu options. Authentic mexican food. Been there 6 times. Guests I've brought loved it. On Saturdays they have a buffet. My son tried it & kept going back. Wet burrito, taco salad, carne asada & fajitas are very tasty, large serving and delicious. The service is very good. They don't forget about you and great attitude, smiling and patient. We had a private party here at El Camino Mexican Grill. It was the best decision I made! The owners are so kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and flavorful (as usual) Several of our guests who normally don't care for Mexican food, even raved about how delicious everything was. We had carne asada tacos, shrimp fajitas and Chile Colorado! Both the asada and Colorado meat was perfectly tender and filled with lots of flavor. The shrimp wasn't the tiny shrimp, but nice sized plump shrimp also bursting with flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious, flavorful, authentic Mexican food. I visited the El Camino Mexican Grill during lunchtime and ordered the El Camino Fajitas plate which comes with beef, chicken and shrimp. Chips and salsa are immediately served while your order is being prepared. El Camino has outdoor and indoor options, free parking and the customer service is always friendly and excellent. The Fajitas ($20) are my favorite plate here but on previous visits, I have tried and enjoyed the enchiladas, tostadas, fajitas, and hard shell taco plates. The El Camino Fajitas is served on a sizzling, steaming plate with delicious chicken, beef, shrimp, onions, red and green peppers, rice, beans guacamole, sour cream, and either flour or corn tortillas. It's easy to make great tasting tacos and the fajitas aroma from this plate is out of this world. I always remember fondly it when I think of this place. The food is good, but one can NEVER know for sure if they are open or not. Their website is not updated and they don't answer the phone. They close for private events without notice. So, if you are willing to drive, get out of the car to go ask if they are open than you might be in luck and get to eat there. This has happened to me more than 4 times. read more

On October 1st, after visiting Rose Hills to finalize my father in laws services my wife, sister in law and I went to get lunch at restaurant. We were met by Omar, who was very friendly and polite. While eating lunch we were discussing food for after the services. Not wanted to be burden by doing any extra work the day of his funeral we started talking to Omar about his catering services. He was very attentive to our needs and let us sample the menu. If there is one way to describe the food surrounding my work, it would be Mexican food from mom & pop shops to franchise like places. It even applies to the lunch trucks that show up at designated spots to feed the endless line of hungry workers that don't have the luxury to even eat out for an hour. While time is most likely the main perpetrator, I believe the other factor would be convenience. I mean, if you want Mexican food, where else can you really go here where it would be a notch above the lunch truck? So I gave my coworker the stink eye when he said, "Let's have Mexican food today." Seriously, Mexican food? I mean, I *like* Mexican food but where can we have some here that won't make me cringe or make me look like refried beans after? I guess it's time to turn to Yelp again. It took forever to find this on Yelp. There were hundred of Mexican places that immediately popped up and so I went through them one by one until I stumbled upon El Camino. I grabbed the address and headed straight out with him. El Camino looks just like another hole in the wall restaurant. It almost makes you feel as if it will taste and be just like any other Mexican restaurant as well. But I guess I was in for a little surprise. He allowed us to choose between three spots in the restaurant to sit and sat us down quickly once we decided. As for the El Camino Fajitas, the beef and chicken were flavorful but salty. They did match well with the bell peppers and onions, which didn't taste spiced. Guacamole was chunky, beans were great, rice was soft and fluffy, and the pico de gallo was fresh and tart. I've been dying to try this little restaurant, sorta hidden away if your on Beverly headed to Workman Mill Rd. going towards the cemetery, don't blink or you'll miss it. They had a brunch going on (I assume weekends only) and we showed up a little after 12. Place was crowded, but it manages to accommodate those that walk in. They will make you omelets as how you like them, they have great coffee w/palitos de canela (cinnamon sticks to y'all), rice, re fried beans, chicharones in ranchera sauce (mm mmm!), calabaza just like mom use to make it (sauteed squash & veggies), sopes were damn tasty, cheese enchiladas, two green salsas, fresh cut up fruit, pan dulce, milk & cereal for the kiddies, and if you can get there before it runs out, Menudo & Posole (I'm so sad I missed out). You get chips & salsa as well when you choose the brunch. (The salsa was good, I wished I'd asked it they sell separately to take home...:) Oh & they also cater too!! The service was excellent, it's family owned and they were on top of it! All of it!! Serving, clearing plates & tables, accommodating people, friendly and checking up on us, not to mention the Owner handled our bill and asked us if it was our first time there, of course we said yes, he gave us a certificate for next time, a takeout menu and was just so pleasant and polite! On Saturday they have a buffet brunch service. You can have an omelette, menudo and pazole. There was pancakes, papas, chili verde, beans, rice, ham, and much more! I tried the taquitos it was made with real beef but they were probably sitting for a while. There is orange juice and fruit and assortment of cereals. I really enjoyed the cinnamon coffee.
