We came here because my cousin DJSP was the featured DJ this Sunday, so I did my Yelp research and to be honest, I didn't know what to expect because the most recent reviews were a couple of months old, no recent food photos and menu photos were outdated. However we were going either way because it was also our featured DJ's birthday. We made reservations but that was difficult too as we called for several days until someone actually answered the phone. I was a little surprised because the food we ordered were all pretty tasty, decent portions, and reasonably priced. The service was ok. Orders took a little time to arrive, but they made sure we had chips and salsa and with a full crowd and a limited number of wait staff, they made sure we were still being attended too. Came here for the first time last night and I was not disappointed. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant is clean and lots of room. Now for the food AMAZING! We started out with the corn and moved to pork belly tacos that were delicious. My sister opted for the three tacos with different meats. We shared a side of rice. Be aware the portions are big!!!!! Decided to drop in a few weeks ago, and I must say, Tracy is freaking ahhhhmaaazing! The restaurant was packed, live dj, and she was Killin' it! Food was obviously incredible -- per usual! They also have all day happy hour on Sunday which applies to food and beverages. My angry orchard was served in an awesome Dos Equis pint glass (I collect them). We were really impressed with the one & only server on a Thursday for lunch. She handled all the tables herself. Took orders, delivered the plates, kept our drinks topped off. Well, I'm happy to say they've really stepped up their game. Our bartender Fernando was wonderful, always smiling knew his drinks, new his tequilas and always engaging in conversation. We celebrated a birthday recently, and we got to try the happy hour menu. All of my friends were so surprised cause their drinks are ON POINT. They do not water down anything like in big franchised spots, they actually deliver great cocktails and micheladas. The service on this day was great. Came to Dame Mas on a whim for a midweek lunch on my day off and I'm so glad we did! Michael and Samantha were our servers with super friendly and quick service (it was pretty empty this day). We ordered 2 DM Burritos ( one regular and the other wet with green sauce). Their portions are huge and the burritos did not disappoint. Dame Mas is the small town - family owned vibe I was looking for when I moved to this neighborhood. I had a neighborhood Mexican restaurant where I lived before for 25 years that I went to. Everything we've had on the menu is fantastic and they just added a lot of new items recently and we are trying them one by one. My go to is the hardshell chicken tacos. I am also a huge fan of the house. Margarita. They have a DJ on some nights and I think they even do like Events on occasion. I wandered in one day and they were setting up for a bingo night I believe and they have a DJ on Fridays or Saturdays sometimes too. The service is amazing. I have been meaning to try this place for some time now. Glad I did, finally. Part of my review consists of the fact that there is limited availability in the area to get good Mexican food and also have a big screen, full bar, handmade tortillas, and draught beer available and at the ready. Honestly though, restaurant initially made me nervous because of the "B" rating which was hanging on the wall as I entered. I have vowed to never eat at an establishment lower than an " A" but since my husband wanted Mexican desperately and we were pressed for time, we finally made it in. The service was really great, albeit a little slow. The restaurant wasn't really full so I don't understand the delay in service. As I mentioned, I was in a major rush so maybe that made the slow service more apparent on this visit. Complimentary chips and salsa were tasty, as was my Panchito margarita. Salsa appeared fresh and was flavorful. My husband ordered the Cafe de la Olla to start, and he said it was excellent. You can get handmade corn tortillas here, so that made for an even greater experience on the culinary side of things. The kids items on the menu were plentiful and servings were generous. If you have more than one small child, I would recommend splitting as for food not going to waste. I had the Fiesta salad and the chicken breast atop my salad was grilled and served warm, a definite plus. I appreciated the exceptional presentation of the food. Best I've seen in awhile. My only observations that I could say required more attention were the sticky menus. I am a stickler for clean menus clear of grease. That's just me. Upon walking in I felt the floors a little sticky, too. I also noticed that one of the glasses had a piece of tomato stuck to it. Not a deal breaker but kind of an unpalatable annoyance. Even though a family restaurant, this definitely gives off a club vibe. I saw several kids dining though, and it's a fun, loud and colorful experience for them. On the down side however, I personally couldn't get over the bar atmosphere. It's probably my age. Not much effort was put into actually converting this space into a restaurant. It felt like a dive bar with tables strewn about highlighted with neon signage. Very reminiscent of the old space, Mulcahey's/JT's. Ambiance and cleanliness are lacking but other features were on point. Lastly, when I went to pay (again, I was in a rush), I come to find out that their electronic payment processing machine was down. Ugh! I was patient as I walked between the bar and the register to provide my payment information, which took them about 10 minutes to enter manually. They did extend a small discount for the inconvenience this caused, which I appreciated, however, added to my overall frustration and the sentiment that this place was more of a dive than a dining establishment. I'm not sure if I'll be returning because of the slightly dingy atmosphere plus other slight inconveniences experienced, but food and friendliness were excellent. Hard to rate this establishment. It was a 2/3 stars in some areas and 4/5 in others. read more

So this is a cute modern Mexican restaurant/ bar / lounge in a small strip mall. Very roomy, super cute trendy decor; there were neon lights on the walls with cute slogans about eating and drinking and a gigantic colorful mural on the main wall. The food was fantastic! The spicy shrimp was super juicy and hottt! They packed that sauce with all the garlicy, buttery spicy goodness. They also offer hand made tortillas that were a little thicker than usual and I LOVED it! I don't usually like the rice and beans, to me they almost always taste out of the can, but their beans and rice served here had a real homemade taste. The little side of arugula with lime vinaigrette was the perfect fresh bite needed to pair with the dish. The service was spot on too! Food // Ordered the Cantarito Margarita (10/10), Chorizo Brussel Sprouts (8/10), DM Tacos (9/10), and the Chile Verde plate (9/10). The margarita was a play on those cantaritos that you see on TikTok (giant margaritas) that they make down on the coast of Mexico. As for the food itself, the brussel sprouts come with about 8-10 total sprouts halved, tossed in chorizo fat and have chorizo crumbled on top. Good appetizer if you are looking for something different. For the tacos, I chose carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor, all with the guac on the side. The meat is good, comes with onions and cilantro, but the homemade tortillas is what really set them apart. The chile verde is a pretty hefty portion for one person, it comes with tortillas, rice, and beans. It is not too spicy, but if you mix in some of the green salsa from the chips it adds a bite. Location // This spot used to be a bar, and knows what else prior to being DM. There is plenty of seating inside, and at the bar as well. It is just opening and getting everything running so service is just alright, but there is a lot of potential here. Parking can get a little tight as there is a few different popular restaurants here in the same plaza.
