    Incredible chicken taquitos!
    Ashli R.

Decided to drop in a few weeks ago, and I must say, Tracy is freaking ahhhhmaaazing! The restaurant was packed, live dj, and she was Killin' it! Food was obviously incredible -- per usual! They also have all day happy hour on Sunday which applies to food and beverages. My angry orchard was served in an awesome Dos Equis pint glass (I collect them). I wanted it so I asked if I could buy it and sure enough, she allowed me to purchase it. Woo woo! *Shame on the people who just pocket glasses or other items without paying for them. Can't wait to stop by again! Thanks for everything Tracy. :)

We were really impressed with the one & only server on a Thursday for lunch. She handled all the tables herself. Took orders, delivered the plates, kept our drinks topped off. All with a smile on her face. I ordered the shrimp gobernador, he ordered the 3 tacos: carnitas, Al pastor, and carne asada. We tried their shrimp ceviche and this was the star of the show. It tasted so good and fresh. The restaurant has a nice vibe to it. Colorful wall art and the bar area was really nice, stocked, and organized. If they really wanted to, they could turn the place into a bar/lounge at night with a DJ and it looks like it could be a real fun spot. Tons of parking shared with the rest of the plaza. Cute waiting area once you walk inside. Try this place out, you won't be disappointed.

Another great evening at Dame MAs. Every time I come, I discover another amazing flavor . Another pallet pleasing something. Try ordering the flautas and you will be amazed by the salsas which accompany the plate that are amazing.

So I wanted to update my review from a couple years ago. We had gone here when they first open and if you read my previous review, pretty much sucked. Well, I'm happy to say they've really stepped up their game. Our bartender Fernando was wonderful, always smiling knew his drinks, new his tequilas and always engaging in conversation. We decided to go here for Father's Day my husband and I. We ordered the happy hour taquitos and bean chorizo queso dip. Both were delicious. I ordered a spicy jalapeño margarita. That was the best I have ever had. At this point I totally recommend this place. Enjoy.

Food was SO GOOD. I've tried the molcajetes at other restaurants and it's always bland but the molcajetes here is really good. The chicken & steak has such good seasoning. The Paloma was also really delicious. Can't wait to come back. Great customer service.

I am not a real fan of Mexican food because it really doesn't have much flavor. Had went with my friend to this location. To much of my surprise the flavors were popping. Everything we had was loaded with flavor. Our Waitress Tracy was a doll. She helped us out with our questions and she was friendly and attentive. She made us feel welcome. It had lots of seating and the ambiance was great. Will be back!

Came here to celebrate my birthday with a friend. I ordered the enchiladas with rice and beans, they were okay, but I found the sauce a bit too salty for my taste. The drinks were good though! Overall, the place was decent. If I come back, I'll probably try something different from the menu.

A great place to come some drinks and food. Located in a shopping center next to other restaurants and shops. Dame mas has ample space to host large party groups. I have visited this place a couple of times and it never disappoints. Their aguachiles are really good. My favorite is their asada tacos and torta. They also have a large bar and a variety of drinks. Service is always great and there's plenty of parking available.

Super trendy and great for a night out with friends . They offer margarita flights as well as other tasty beverages . They have tv screens with music videos , gives It a fun ambiance . Tried the quesa birria tacos and the flavour was great. The staff was attentive and friendly . Would definitely come back again for good times

First time here been waiting for approximately 20min to be seated. Restaurant is quite empty. Poor gentleman that was the host, not his fault. Literally came in for a drink and debating to about to leave. They need more servers I'm assuming.

So this restaurant is cute with nice neon lightings. It's a very spacious restaurant, with a nice bar top. The service was outstanding and the manager I believed he was, suggested all good choices! From what entree to get and drink to get. He made our tequila lemon drops to perfection. The best lemon drop I had in while! Come here if you love lemon drops because this is the spot! For my food option I ordered the verde trio enchiladas: shrimp, chicken, and cheese with rice and beans for my side! The brand were so good and whipped just like I like it my meal was beyond delicious I made a happy plate for sure! This is the entree I would order again! And tell others to get. It fills you up and so yummy, fresh, and so much flavor. It's located in the cut kind of but you can't miss the sign. I will come back here again the service is elite and the food and drinks are bomb.com also, it's really clean inside which is a good thing! Easy parking in the lot and cool ambience! With exceptional customer service. -Marshay D.

This place is literally fire. Thought I was going to have to call the fire department. The drinks and food are so good. They have happy hour everyday from 3-7 and that is unheard of these days. This place is the bomb fosho! For real dough our server was the shiznizzle! I would give him 6 out of 5 stars. If he were an energy drink he would be a rockstar. Me and my partner had the night of our lives thanks to Dame Mas and Michael. Give this man a raise or like a trip to Cabo or something. Alicia and Anthony

Their moles are definitely worth trying. We've had the mole negro and the mole pipián, and both were delicious. The mole negro is a little sweeter, while the pipián has more spice. They also serve tortilla chips with mole, which is something I haven't seen at most Mexican restaurants. The reason I can't give 5 stars is because the service has been hit or miss. We've been here three times. The first time was shortly after they opened. The food tasted decent but came out cold, and the service wasn't the best. It was during the week and not very busy, so we figured they were still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant. After some time, we decided to give them another try. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated right away. The service was much better and everything seemed to be running more smoothly. We talked with the owner who was working as well as his wife who was bartending. They were both really friendly, and the owner seemed genuinely happy that we came back after we told him about our first experience. He even gave my husband a free beer after we moved to the bar to keep drinking after we finished our meals to allow for other guests to dine at the table we were. There was also a trio playing that night which added to the ambiance and was a nice way to end the work week. Our most recent visit was a couple of weeks ago for my husband's birthday. It was during the week and once again they were short-staffed. There was only one waitress taking care of the entire restaurant. She was so sweet and hustling the whole time but she was also bartending while serving every table. We definitely had to pack our patience because she was doing the best she could. Overall, Sol 626 has so much potential to be a great spot. The food, drinks, and atmosphere are what keep bringing us back. They need a little more staffing so the service can be as good as everything else.

Even though the restaurant is small and busy, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Our waiter Washington, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made our whole experience even better. The atmosphere was perfect too. They had music playing at just the right volume and a big TV showing the live Dodger game, which the kids loved. We started with chips and salsa. The salsa had the perfect level of spice for everyone at the table. The kids ordered horchatas and were excited about the unlimited refills (something you don't always see at other restaurants!). The drinks for the adults were just as impressive. My wife's watermelon margarita on the rocks was perfectly made. It was not overly sweet or syrupy like at some places. Our friends had the "El Jefe" margaritas, and they definitely didn't skimp on the tequila! For dinner, everything was a hit. The kids loved their meals. Albóndigas soup, shrimp tacos, and street tacos--all served with rice and beans. The adult dishes were just as good. The carne asada arrachera was cooked perfectly, the chile verde was full of flavor, and my chicken mole was delicious with a great balance of spicy and sweet without being overwhelming. The portions were very generous, and everything came with rice, beans, and both corn and flour tortillas. The only small thing I would've preferred differently was the chicken in my mole. I personally would've liked a leg and thigh instead of sliced chicken breast but the dish was still very good overall. What really stood out was the hospitality. At the end of the meal, Washington offered us "holy water"-house tequila shots on the house--and it wasn't cheap tequila either! Then after the bill came, he surprised us again with another round of "holy water". That level of generosity and care really impressed us. We also learned that the restaurant has been there 20+ years and is family-run by him and his siblings, which made the experience feel even more personal. You can tell they have a loyal customer base--one couple even said, "See you tomorrow Washington!" The only feedback we'd offer (coming from a customer service background) is that we noticed a few guests waiting at the entrance without being greeted, and one couple actually left the restaurant. A simple "Welcome, we'll be right with you" would go a long way. That said, it didn't take away from our experience. Overall, amazing food, great service, generous portions, and a welcoming family atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

I went on a taco run yesterday to try to find the best taco in Whittier…read more Started off the run with a keto taco mixed with asada and al pastor and then a regular tripa taco. Keto taco - toasted/grilled cheese instead of a regular tortilla - needed to be done a little more on one side as the cheese wasn't quite toasty enough to stay in place to slightly resemble the shape of a taco. Bit hard to eat, covered my hands in grease. Asada tastes almost boiled, and this being my 2nd or 3rd time getting the Asada here, it consistently tastes like it was boiled and not grilled. Unsure of meat quality or preparation, but there are no grill marks and it's a bit chewy. Same with the al pastor. Tripa taco was bizarre. Strips of flat skin instead of the usual roundish, cylindrical shape of tripa (intestine). Usually a saltier, fattier meat than asada, which is my preference but the one here was lacking in flavor and the texture threw me off a bit. Tripa can be chewy - unless requested extra done, which is how I normally order it - but there was no saving this tripa. I think it needs to be sliced differently, the cuts made it inedible. Brother shared some of his chorizo taco and it was the better of the bunch. Red chorizo, TJ style, although it was also lacking a teeny bit in flavor... onions and cilantro to the rescue! Still, mediocre. Salsas were ok, nothing out of the ordinary. Don't think the tortillas were homemade. Service was fine, cashier takes your order, dude at the counter was chill and had a friendly attitude. Seating was limited. Mostly bar style seating but the majority was in front of a window and it had so much heat trapped from the glass that it was kind of uncomfortable. Other seats are too close to the bathroom. Good for a quick bite or just pick-up orders. Wouldn't plan a sit down/dine-in visit. Parking is scarce and has really small spots, wouldn't come if you're driving a pick-up truck or anything like that. Food was reasonably priced, which is good, however; the food was lacking so I would not return.
