A small, casual spot for quick bites packed with big flavor. A simple menu consisting of tacos, burritos, quesadillas or rice bowls. Great prices and always quick service. Call in your order for pick up, or dine in if you prefer. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely delicious tacos!!! Fish with mango salsa, pork with pineapple salsa and steak. Yum!!! Homemade chips and salsa were awesome too!

Great food, great prices, and great portions! With some Mexican places, the portions leave you wanting more, but not at El Camion! We ordered 5 fish tacos and a steak burrito and had plenty of leftovers for later! The burrito especially was huge-- would recommend this on an empty stomach! Additionally, COVID precautions exceeded expectations as made us feel very comfortable with consuming their goods.

"Never Before, but Many More" I have never before tasted a taco this fresh and delicious, but I look forward to having many more. A food truck owner selling tacos did so well that he bought his own building and went from food truck to a cool little restaurant. Nice road side restaurant with an outdoor patio deck located on the edge of Woodbury, CT. I had three great tacos and a Modelo beer to round out my Mexican experience. I had a pork taco, a steak taco, and a fish taco. They're all soft tacos made with the freshest of ingredients, such as cilantro, red cabbage, pineapple, tomatillo, and mango. Can't wait to take my wife here. Everything was Deelicious !

An unexpected and enjoyable find. Good chips and salsa. I loved the steak tacos. The salsa and cabbage they were dressed with was different than expected, but worked perfectly with the steak. I look forward to trying more of the menu soon.

Steak taco and chicken taco. Great flavor, real ingredients, and a perfect amount for lunch!

Very limited menu. Portions are extremely small. Cleaning up after previous customers could be enhanced.

They share a funky space with New Curds on the Block cheese shop in an old brick mill building. We climbed a rickety wood staircase in the back of the building to get into the shops. Don't enter through the front of the building or you'll end up in a karate dojo. They sell super fresh fish and shellfish - Atlantic Salmon, Yellowfin Tuna, Black Sea Bass (MA). Blackfish, Sardines, Pink Shrimp, Scallops, Soft Shell Crabs, Steamers, Littleneck Clams, Gem Clams, PEI Mussels, and Crab Cakes. You can order online and pick up at their Oakville Shop, Bantam Farmer's Market, or Washington Depot Farmer's Market. We swung by yesterday and had a hard time deciding what to buy. I was tempted by the soft-shell crabs because I never had them before. But ultimately, I chickened out and went for three of their big crab cakes. They were $7 each and worth every dime. They weighed in at 4 ounces and were PACKED with crab meat and very little breading or filling. A few minutes in the air fryer at 350 and they were as good as any I've ever had. As I said, they share retail space with the New Curds on the Block cheese shop (after all, the two owners are married), and after we bought the crab cakes, a wedge of Dutch Knuckle cheese, a tin of smoked mussels, some addictive Maple Toffee Almonds, all of the purchases rang up on a combined receipt.

ORIGIN: Zachary Redin, with fifteen years as an Institute of…read moreCulinary Education-trained chef and fishmonger, opened To the Gills in 2022. The shop's name refers to an idiom that is used to express something being completely full. CONCEPT: The shop provides a curated collection of seafood, and associated seasonings, to Litchfield County. LOCATION: To the Gills shares a second floor corner suite with a cheese shop and knife sharpener. The suite is located in a building that long served as the site for Seymour Smith garden tool manufacturing. AMBIANCE: The shop is decorated with many unique items, such as an old cash register and oven. Tremendous windows line the time-worn brick walls of the former factory which had been built in the early 20th century. FOOD: The shop sells custom poke bowls and prepared chowder, crab cakes, and seaweed salad for quick meals. Shellfish, fin fish, smoked fish, and seafood seasonings are also sold, including uncommonly found fish such as parrot fish. SERVICE: Service is friendly and knowledgeable. TIPS: To the Gills also sells through the Washington Farmers' Market during warm weather Saturdays. There is no seating in the building, but there is a gazebo with two outdoor dining chairs and a side table in the parking lot. Neighboring Steel Creek has a bench overlooking the bridge. There is no elevator in the building. The second floor can be reached via an outdoor ramp that stretches across one side of the L-shaped building. To the Gills periodically serves raw oysters at neighboring Lasting Brass Brewery. Check the brewery's event calendar. To the Gills occasionally arranges informative events at the shop. In November I participated in a caviar tasting event in which eight different fish roes that are sold at the shop were featured and their provenance described. Follow the shop's Instagram account for future event announcements. A cheese shop (New Curds on the Block) and blade/knife sharpener are located in same suite.

Was excited to check this place out due to a friend giving it high praise. Said it was fancy too…read more I wouldn't go that far. Ambiance is nice, however people were not dressed to the nines in here. No one seems to dress when they go out anymore though. I'm being nice and giving this place a 3 for the ambiance. The menu is quite.... eclectic? They advertise themselves as a steakhouse and have an extensive beef menu with various sauces, however they also have a seafood section, a burger section, and entree section with items like Braised Beef Ravioli, Chicken Parm in addition to having a whole separate menu for sushi. I feel like those are very different food offerings with different chef specialties needed. Sushi in itself you need a sushi chef. I doubt the sushi chef is making burgers and lobster ravioli well. I think due to the fact that they have so many different things going on with the menu, they aren't perfecting everything. Anytime a restaurant has too large of a menu I find that the food is not spectacular. I had the Lobster ravioli. It was a tad salty and did not wow me. My boyfriend had the Seared Salmon with mango/veggies. That did not look super appetizing to me. Service was abismal. It was very busy in there so initially a server came over, read the specials, but we told him we were not ready to order. He left our table, and in about 5-10 minutes someone else came by, read us the specials but we told him someone else had already read us the specials. He then disappeared and no one returned to our table for about 15 minutes. We had to flag someone down to take our order. Clearly miscommunication on who's taking what tables/sections. Service - terrible, food - ok. Not quite sure what this place wants to be. Would not be running back here.
