Pretty standard little Mexican restaurant in Columbus. The menu has exactly what you would expect and at very affordable prices. Per my usual, I ordered the enchiladas with a side of rice and beans. This used to be mine and my wife's favorite place to go down here. It was close by, and having 3 kids it was great to just get in the car and go. We went in one night at 9:15 (sign in the door said closed at 11). There were only 2 tables that had people. As soon as we sat down you could tell the older lady, who might I add we gave a $25 tip to on Christmas, just to say "Merry Christmas" was irritated. She came by "what you drink?" really hateful. The salsa bar was completely closed up, and we asked "can we get salsa?" She comes back out with a bowl, lays it on the table, says "use this, don't use plastic cups." I just straight up said "look do we need to leave, and the younger girl said "no, it's fine." I should have just got up and left and I wouldn't have been here writing a negative review. I really wanted to like this place. It's so close to the house and they have authentic tacos. The service was great, so was the agua fresca. The carne asada tacos were literally inedible. The corn shells were stale, the steak was chewy, tough and had zero seasoning. read more

Visiting and found this awesome Mexican restaurant! We were a group of 6 and were starving after our hike to Chimney Rock. We definitely wanted Mexican so chose this one. The food was delicious and servings were substantial with leftovers (always a plus!) Enjoyed our dinner and the staff was great. Answered our questions and were accommodating to modified orders. Will definitely be back if visiting again. Would definitely recommend to others. read more

I've enjoyed good Mexican good in Chicago and Southern California. This place rivals the best. Their carnitas was nothing short of perfection. Tender with a crispy crust. The Molcajete was superb! This is our new favorite local Mexican restaurant! The food is always hot and fresh, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Their salsa bar has many choices, with more than an ample range from mild to spicy. Their mole sauce is also very nice, with the perfect blend of spice/sweetness. Good local place, family run Mexican food This is our go-to for local Mexican food. The staff is consistent, polite and quick. The food is reliable and tasty. I usually get fish tacos, but have also had the chicken tortilla soup which was surprisingly light and tastier than others I've had. My husband has had just about everything and is never disappointed. He almost always takes home what he cannot finish. The salsa bar is also good - with or without labels. I am not into "hot" so I can tell if it's hot or not by the menu - and if I want to add heat I can go to the salsa bar and get the mango (super hot but slightly sweet) salsa. It's usually easy to get a table for two or for 12 - as they have two rooms which they open during dinner rush. In terms of the "authentic" of it, it's not Tex-Mex - so there's no variations on a theme or fusion going on. You get good, solid, Mexican food prepared and served by a family. Tables are always clean (if not well worn) and service is friendly and efficient. A great place to come to meet people and have some good food. read more

I have eaten here many times. My favorite dishes are the chile poblano plate and enchilada suizas. I haven't had a bad plate yet. The salsa bar is nice and the waitstaff are efficient. The only complaint I would have with this place is when I order the enchiladas, I get them to make all 3 spinach and for doing so, they charge an extra dollar. There are only 2 Mexican restaurants in Columbus and this one is better in my opinion. You'll have to drive to Forest City or Boiling Springs to find a better one. read more

Woa! Some very delicious Mexican food. A full and fresh salsa bar with tomatillo, avocado, and other salsas go try with fried tortilla chips. Everything we got was great: tacos, pork chile verde, and la sureno loco. Highly suggest to people looking for a meal on the road or for those who love tasty Mexican. I ordered the Quesadilla. When I received it there was hardly any cheese on it and I asked for more and the person rolled her eyes at me. When I asked to talk to a manager I found out that this very young girl was a mate was the manager and later found out that her brother is the owner because she yelled at me. I would not go back although I have been there many times before and had good service. This girl seem to be bragging that her brother was the owner so she would not get in trouble which is so wrong I will not give this place good reviews at all anymore. This is one of my family's favorite spots on nights we just need to get out of the house. The food is standard Mexican-American, and reliably tasty. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere that's totally family/kid friendly, and while the staff isn't what I'd describe as "warm", the service is quick and efficient. I just had their soft tacos and honestly, Taco Bell is much better. There was no tomato, no sour cream, no onion. The Taco consisted of only bland ground beef, chunk of cheese and soggy lettuce. I would not revisit. read more
