Had lunch there with family. Food was delicious. Very courteous and friendly server. Had grand kids with us and the place is nice enough to have us all. Margarita classic on ice was delicious.

We came to sunriver to rent bikes and cruise around . After we were thirsty. The margaritas hit the spot and chips and salsa very good. The staff very friendly . Sat outside and was fun to people watch and relax .

Very overpriced and bad 1 star 1/3 of the plate is empty what a scam

The service was great and the people were very friendly. The mole was good and so was the taco salad and my daughter had a chicken burrito which she said was good . The only thing was the rice was very bland

Not too many Mexican restaurants to choose from in Oregon but we did find this one in the Village. Very authentic Mexican Restaurant with friendly Latino compas and comadres. Ambiance is casual and this is a busy restaurant but it is worth the wait. I had the combination enchilada, taco & tostada with rice beans and salad on the side. Was super delicious. For drinks I recommend to try the Jamaica margarita. A definite 5 star rating for these restaurant for good food and excellent customer service.

El Caporal is a solidly good Mexican restaurant! From the chips to the margarita to the chicken flautas that I had this evening, all were very good. The service was also very good. I can't believe that it took me 10 years of coming to Sunriver to finally go here, but I'm really glad that I did. I look forward to returning sometime.

We eat here every summer. It's in the perfect location especially during summer. They get pretty busy here. Fun and festive vibe. Clean inside the restaurant. They have tables outside as well. Customer service is always great. Their food is pretty good. I haven't had anything that I didn't like so nothing but positivity here.

This is our favorite place for a sit down Mexican restaurant in Bend. We come every year for soccer and baseball tournaments. It is lightening fast service and the fresh margaritas are the best. It's a perfect way to relax after a long, hot day of supporting the team. We sat down to immediately chips and salsa, bar drinks within 5 min, food within 10 min, and I never have to ask for help. They anticipate every need. Thank you for yet another awesome dining experience!

It was the combo.

You wouldn't guess what a jem hidden at a far away place like Sunriver. They not only greeted me but everyone with so much welcome. I was there at lunch time and it was pretty busy for that one hour I was there. What a value for the large servings. Great price for the four of us and we all left full to the rim. No dinner for us that day. Martin and Pat were great servers. A must place to eat when in Sunriver.

Bean n cheese burrito plate. Omg loooved!! With the margarita and I'm in heaven.

The food here is good and they have a wide selection to choose from. I was glad to see they even had some vegetarian items on the menu. I ordered two spinach enchiladas and had enough to take home for another meal. They also have an extensive margarita selection. I highly suggest the hibiscus perfect margarita. It was so good! The area where El Caporal falls short is in service. It was pretty busy when we ate here for dinner but there seemed to be only one waiter in charge of the whole outdoor area and possibly one waiter inside. We had to wait quite a while for a table, then to order food, and then for our check. I hope they hire more waitstaff because the food is good and it would make the dining experience more enjoyable.

Ignore all the crap reviews. This place is solid classic Mexican cuisine. Good drinks, good chips and salsa, good Mexican platters.

I ordered the fish tacos which were delicious. We're cooked a little hard and had a little more coating then desired, but everything else was delicious and came together perfectly. My friend ordered the Carne Asada tacos and they looked delicious as well. The entire cart pod experience was great and this is a must visit location when in Sister's, OR. Will definitely be returning to try some of the other options, but don't sleep on Chulita's.

But Chulitas is more than just incredible juices. The food here is so delicious! The use of super fresh ingredients and fantastic flavors created a special treat. We tried dishes from across the menu, and each one left us absolutely satisfied and happy. Textures and flavors executed to perfection. It's a sit down restaurant but the food comes out quickly! We had looked at the menu ahead of time and placed our order right when we were seated, so it wasn't long before the food came out. The food itself was good but not amazing. They did provide a small bowl of hot salsa to spice things up but the enchilada itself was not spicy. The tacos were good, and my daughter liked her quesadilla too. The service was great! The server was so understanding of us having two young kids and needing to eat fast. At one point we knocked a water over and she patiently brought us a new one, plus some extra spoons and bowls for the kids to share food. That's the main reason I'm giving it 5 stars. Good food and great service!

The bar is also a fantastic place to grab a drink or margarita, play a little video poker, and end up talking to half the locals in Bend. Somehow you go in for dinner and leave feeling like you attended a neighborhood reunion. The food is exactly what you want when you're craving Mexican: hot, good, and a lot of it. I have never once left there hungry or disappointed. Plates show up looking like they were designed for a lumberjack who skipped lunch. They recently remodeled the bar, which looks nice... but personally I believe Mexican restaurants should be built once in about 1987 and then left exactly the same forever. It's part of the charm. That said, the remodel won't stop me from going back regularly. Great people, great food, strong margaritas, and the kind of place that makes Bend feel like home. Five stars all day.

We arrived around 230 on a Wednesday and were surprised how many people were coming and going. After our experience, we understand why. We got in the short, quick line and looked over the specials and menu while waiting. I ordered the heirloom salad (but got the macha salsa on the side because I'm wimpy) and the elote corn, both on the " very, very specials" board. Randy ordered the chicken tinga taco and the carnitas taco and an order of chips and salsa. Corina got the beef and broccoli which came with a side of Jasmine rice. Everything was delicious although Randy was missing a couple things: a spicier salsa and thinner chips. I thought they were fine but he is quite particular where chips and salsa are concerned. He enjoyed the tacos, loved that they were street tacos and thought the carnitas were a little more flavorful but both were good. My salad was fresh and flavorful, all the components (minus the spicy macha salsa) made it exactly what I was hoping for. The corn was buttery, creamy, flavorful. The best I've had. It's a whole piece of corn broken in half and slathered with all the goodness with some slaw, cotija and lime on the side. Corina's beef and broccoli was scrumptious. I don't normally enjoy that dish but this one was excellent. The meat was flavorful and not grisly and the broccoli was cooked perfectly, not mushy. It was a huge portion. After eating a piece of the corn, she's got beef broccoli leftovers. Randy also got a raspberry soda which was good, not super sweet, and Corina got the apple mint lemonade which was very good. Everyone was nice and helpful and the music was a good level, plenty of seating. Apparently some outside too. We absolutely are looking forward to going back. PS picture of the wallpaper in the bathroom just because I loved it.

Needs one guy serving drinks and answering questions about the menu, and one person taking orders. I'm Chinese and my husband is Mexican, so in theory this place would be right up our alley. However the shrimp taco's tortilla was not made fresh which is is the whole point of the taco (the salsa and the tortilla). The chicken was decent but not spectacular. The mala noodle was good on flavor (kudos for keeping the "ma" part intact) and probably the best part of the meal, but the rice noodle needs to be cooked 1-2 minutes less.
