I activated Tile app and it showed that my wallet/purse is at the golf course. I was very happy that golf shop kept it and everything was intact. It was rare these days to find such honest people. I felt extremely lucky. I think that they deserve a mention and I will definitely go back.

When he was around, it seemed like everything was good. Years and years after his son and I think grandson took over, the driving range went to crap. Now fast forward to 2017. The City of LA has taken over the driving range, put in new driving range mats, a tons of new range balls and simplified the range ball machines. It's a good start. The range itself still needs a lot of TLC...but that'll take some work. The old Barber golf shop has also changed ownership. As of 8/2017, the remodeling and reconstruction of the golf shop is in progress. Hopefully it'll be nice. I'm excited for the city to take over. Griffith Park driving range is really close to my house, been coming here for over 25 years or so with my pops, now I bring my son out to hit balls. I'm looking forward to a revamped city owned driving range. Crossing my fingers. Come for Wilson and Harding courses also. And don't forget the beer and chicken wings at the little restaurant.

No flooding. The undulating greens are super challenging for having short holes. The longest hole would have to be the 15th. The pond is on the right and the trail is above on your left, too. Sometimes I think someone is angry when they're selecting where to place the pins, especially on the third. Who hurt you? LOL Today, it was the third, fifth and the fourteenth. The greens definitely have a lot of character. The fairways are kept, too. The little creeks between the holes are awesome, and the pond between the fourteenth and fifteenth holes always have beautiful swans and ducks in or around them. If you're looking to squeeze in a game so you can relax and have some quiet time, Arroyo Seco is the course where you'll want to be.

I've played some of the best disc golf courses in SoCal and some of the worst and this place falls…read morefairly in the middle. One of my biggest issues with DeBell are the lack of proper tee pads and lack of proper signage which can lead to frustrating rounds. They conveniently post a map at the office, but to keep referring to a map you take a picture of on your phone constantly can get annoying. They try to update uDisc regularly, but again, when it's not accurate, you're left trying to figure things yourself. Terrain is another problem. For the most part it's well maintained, but if you're paying 6-8 bucks to play on this course, there's a part of you that wishes things were a little better. On a rainy day or the ones after it, don't expect good footing anywhere. The biggest problem though are the people. The staff is actually wonderful and very friendly...but the patrons can be hit or miss. It's a shared course with regular golf and some of the ball golfers can be a bit rude or aloof. Sure, it's a problem anywhere, but I've seen a lot of golfers not follow proper etiquette (slow play and large groups) and feel entitled to the course since it's for "golf." When you get past all it's faults...DeBell is kind of a hidden gem. In a big, mostly flat city like Burbank, there's not of open space and going up that hill past downtown Burbank, there's some really beautiful nature areas to find. On a sunny day with a cool breeze, playing here is a real delight. Away from the busy streets and noise of the city, you can really spend a calm day here. As you overlook the city, it's one of the better places in town to take in a sunset. Sometimes, you'll run into some nature with everything from lizards, skunks, rabbits, and the occasional deer. As far as disc golf goes, the course is mostly good. They change the layouts regularly and the positions can be in challenging positions...other times it feels like someone just moved the basket without any thought to why a hole should be that way. There's everything you want from a course...decent amount of trees, distance, and elevation changes. It's only 9 holes and there isn't a lot of long holes, but it's a nice challenge if you wanna spend a couple hours working on your game in relative peace.

The ideas seemed easy and being a former baseball player made sense to me. It was one of my best ball striking days I've had in a long time. Being a 13-15 handicap I think these videos will really help my consistency and confidence. I'm sure I wasn't doing everything correct yet but the changes I was trying made a huge difference. What sets Jay apart isn't just his knowledge of golf equipment--although he can talk clubs, shafts, and ball flight for hours. It's his integrity. At no point did I ever feel like I was being pushed into a certain club because of a commission, manufacturer relationship, or sales incentive. His only goal is to find what actually works best for your swing. I've paid significantly more for fittings elsewhere, and I've had clubs built for more than double what Jay charges. Despite that, none of those experiences came close to the value, attention to detail, and results I've received working with him. Once I found Jay, it felt like unlocking a toolbox I never knew I had. The equipment finally matched what I was trying to do, and the confidence that came with that carried over to every part of my game. In the span of a single year, I went from a 15 handicap to a 4 handicap and am now working toward scratch golf. Golf has evolved so quickly through rapidly improving technologies (3D, force plates, launch monitors, blending distance/accuracy, etc.) and understanding of what is really happening that it is necessary to see someone with Richard's knowledge. You will be getting knowledge and information from him that average instructors simply do not know. Richard helped me achieve 190 ball speed as shown in the photo below a 12 mph improvement from when I first started seeing him.
