We called to see what type of beginner clubs they carry and Drew asked us all the pertinent information and went to see what they had on hand. He put his recommendations up at the front counter. We live in SCV and made a trip to North Hollywood based on our interaction over the phone with Drew. All the staff were friendly. We decided to get all three clubs and Drew helped us find a reasonable putter. He really encouraged me. I have recently taken a lesson and played a small par 3 course and would like to keep trying. Drew explained that if I want a full beginner set of clubs to bring back the ones I purchased within 90 days for a full store credit to be used for a set of clubs. You then have 1 year to upgrade that set with a full refund/store credit. They really encourage everyone giving golf a chance, which I find very enlightening. Main point of this review is about the manager NOAH. I came by several times in 1 week- buying, returning, exchanging, all that good stuff. When I purchased something the first time, I accidentally used the wrong card as I had wanted to split payment into two cards. It showed as canceled on the system, but Noah immediately let me know that he would follow up to confirm funds were actually canceled (due to the new system being somewhat iffy). I came back again and he immediately recognized me, told me he had contacted corporate and actually read the email to me. Fortunately, the funds had come back in less than the estimated time. Between all of the interactions I had with him in the 3 store visits (including having to stay a few minutes after closing the first time due to the card issue), NOAH never showed ANY sign of being impatient, tired, or irritated. Initially I was slightly surprised he was the manager since it seemed other locations had mostly older individuals.. but after everything, I can see exactly why he is manager. He was frontline serving people next to the other workers, not just chilling and letting them do the work. I haven't experienced this type of customer service in a very long time, especially in a retail setting. Noah went above and beyond to make sure that everything was taken care of. Customer service as a whole has been steadily going downhill, and it was extremely refreshing to know there are people like him who actually deserve their position and respect (and (hopefully) his next promotion)). I observed very consistent interactions with ALL of his customers whenever I was waiting in line. This guy is definitely going places with his mindset and how he treats people. THANKS AGAIN NOAH! Regarding the store - layout is simple, left side has clubs, right side has accessories etc. Lots of used clubs, I found one that I'd been looking for in like-new condition at a great price. I saw a lot of people coming directly to the used club section to try to find the best deals. Other used clubs may be a bit more pricey considering their condition.. but this is a brick and mortar location so with overhead, can't always match online prices. Regardless, if you're just starting out and want to build your set with used clubs, they have very well priced ones for that. They have all of the new clubs as well. Simulator available too, tracks your ball speed, etc. Their parking lot usually has spots, it's not a tiny lot by any means but the entrance/exit may be a bit tight for some drivers. NOTE - Worldwide Golf Shops owns Roger Dunn so you may be able to match the price you see on there with an in-store club (although the prices are usually accurate). You can also use your Roger Dunn credit on WGS. Also, you may already know this but they have an extremely generous 90 day return policy. New clubs will get your money back to original payment method, used clubs will get you store credit - but if the used club comes back in noticeably worse condition, I don't think you'll get the full credit back. read more

Well, I normally don't do this, but now I've had the same experience twice. I've gone in to get a club regripped and the guys at the club repair station were annoyed at me for it, which is strange to me. In the end they did do it, but the whole experience was rife with passive aggression. Im giving this location a high 5 star award for your excellent service patience and help with my golf ocd needs. From your management team to all the staff currently at this location with taking the time help sort out golf club selections new and used, golf shoes ect i thank you for your knowledge. The only thing I would suggest is please change your hitting bays monitors meaning they are offline on several occasions and cannot get a read on trying out golf clubs ,as this is a high end surrounding area location. I've been coming here for months wanting to get some game improvement irons, and every time I have come in the staff has been super friendly and really helpful. On days they're super busy they still take the time to make you feel seen and make sure you're all taken care of. I went in wanting to purchase some Callaway Paradym X Irons. Spoke with Jakob and he was super helpful and patient even when I was hitting some terrible shots during the fitting. He never interrupted me or cut me off - any time I had a request or wanted to try a different shaft he was super accommodating. These guys are top tier in every facet. I can't recommend this place enough - they're super cool and great people in general. Just a note - they are generally busy, but on Saturdays and Sundays they get slammed - and if you're just walking in not knowing what you want or anything and want to just chop it up then you can't really expect them to just follow you around and answer to every need you have. I have been here a number of times now, most of my visits have been within this past month or so. I have been coming frequently to help my hubby to find some clubs, to replace ones that had been stolen from our home not long ago. We have come in during promo times and non-sale times. The guys are all pretty friendly. One thing that I didn't care for too much was during one of the visits that we'd made there, my hubby was talking to one of the sales guys and all of a sudden one of the older sales men pulled him away to do something else. I felt like the older gentleman just stole him and that he'd cut the discussion so abruptly that it was just a slap in the face. There was no "Oh, I'm sorry. I'm going to need to borrow him." or anything like that. He simply pulled on the arm of the sales person that we'd been talking to for a while and that was it. I was shocked. Each time that I have come in to this store the guys are friendly enough to me but they never have asked me if I golfed at all or if I needed help with clothing, accessories, a gift idea, or to be fitted with clubs at all. I guess they assume that because I'm always the one holding my lil one that I do not golf at all. RUDE!! I don't appreciate being so easily overlooked. The prices are pretty up there and it seems to me like the markup is terribly high, but this is a golf boutique shop, really. They have every brand of clubs, balls, shoes, clothing, etc. I noticed that they even carry Yeti. I have to admit, I was pretty excited about that. The variety in here is amazing. Prices are a tad too high for me. The staff are typically all real friendly and helpful. Parking is free and is just behind the store front, inside the building. They are having some good sales on clothing but as I mentioned, it's all still kinda pricey. Having purchase some new clubs for the hubby, I'm sure we will be back to have the shafts and grips changed up and what not. It's a long process to perfecting the fit of your clubs. Everyone has their preferences. The guys who do the modifications and repairs on your clubs, they are hands down the most awesome!!! My hubby brings all his clubs here and we've never had any issues. They do great work and have made some real good judgement calls on the adjustments on some of our clubs, as well as putters for my lil one. (Yes, she's only 2 but she likes to golf.) Arguably the best golf shop in greater L. A. with a large selection of golf equipment and accessories. I've been to the West LA branch numerous times and the first time at this location. The staff is friendly, helpful, and most importantly, knowledgeable at both locations. I needed a new driver and Drew was super helpful. He patiently configured several drivers with various club head and shaft combinations. We than worked in one of the driving stalls with a launch monitor. Drew helped me carefully analyzed the stats to pick out the most suitable configuration. Their clubs have a 90-day satisfaction guarantee, which allows you to exchange the club for a different one if you end up not liking what you've bought. The cherry on top is their trade-in process. I had a brand new Scotty Cameron putter and they gave me a great price (much better than what I would be able to get on eBay) toward the purchase of my new club. This review is very late and my apologies to the team at this location for not doing this sooner. I've been going to this location for years and always had a great experience, however my latest visit left a lasting impression on me. April of 2024 my car was broken into and all of my golf great was stolen. Even my shoes. 2 weeks after the theft, I went in to this location about an hour before closing to replace absolutely everything. Getting all new gear is exciting but the reason was terrible. Each department helped me out and I eventually told one of the staff why I was buying all new gear. When I went to check out, not only was everyone amazingly gracious but when they handed me the receipt, I saw that 3 different employees had applied their discount to my purchase saving me HUNDRED'S of dollars. So last year I replaced my whole bag with new stick after a major shoulder injury. Since then my drives were mostly wicked slices. My iron shots suffered, bad slices as well with the occasional spot-on 2 feet from the cup shots smattered in there. This year I decided to start back from scratch... Yep, whole new bag AGAIN. So,into Roger Dunn I went. Really, last year was the first time I stepped foot in Dunn. They're always so busy because hey, it seems like there was a pandemic or something big that happened which popularized golf more. I'm not sure, so if anyone has any ideas why, let me know. After a bunch of times in there, I decided it was Driver replacement + add a 3-wood to the bag, time. Last week a gent named Thad was working. He was busy AF. YT still made time to watch my drives in the swing bay. He noticed one teeny tiny but important key thing about my grip, which I had taken up a bad habit of after my injury to compensate, and he informed me of it. He then sat and watched my hits afterward. They were still sporadically left, right, long, some short--INCONSISTENT. I was always hellbent that I needed the max forgiveness driver bec of that injury, but Thad corrected THST & put me into the less forgiving Callaway Rpgue driver which I was testing. He explained everything about the particular shaft that was in these, and he put what he thought the best set-up for me was, together, to swing. And it was golden! No more disgusting slices, immediately picked up 10-15 yards. IT FELT FKN GREAT! I immediately bought that Rogue driver and 2 days later I went back in, all excited after having had unreal results at the range with the driver, I bought the Rogue 3-wood as well. So after hitting the white off the ball with both sticks, I decided to match my irons & get oversized grips installed. Didn't want to mess it up so I went back in and Dan told me he'd get me in immediately for the grip-swap, as I'm playing on Friday. Super awesome that he did that because I wanted to range it up with those grips before my round. Usually the guys are far too busy with people to have the time to individually pay attention to one customer. But Thad & Dan made these visits different. All the employees are super helpful, YT this time was just different. It was a lull in traffic & when time & attention is paid, amazing things happen. This was the best visit I've had there and on the range I couldn't be happier with what I purchased. I'm back to crushing the F out of the ball & shots are back on, nearly all of them, perfection. I feel like my game is back on to where it was pre-injury & having the right tools MATTERS. Them actually having the time to sit & watch someone hit & give advice MATTERS. They need more of that and less appeasing those who just come in to hit the latest & walk out never buying anything. Thanks Thad & Dan! Just waiting on that full-toe wedge now! BTW, everyone is just great there, but I'm just illustrating how much it matters when they actually have time watch & recommend. I didn't need max forgiveness, I needed less, because that changed the dynamic of the ball strike, which allowed me to go back to my true swing, which brought my tee shots back to accurate + distance. Ian the assistant manager is not a nice dude, he goes around talking down to the employees who are all doing their jobs on how it is very busy, but all he does is walk around and joke around with the salespeople that come in. I was there for 2 hours waiting for my clubs to be regripped, and not once did I see him help out the team to get customers going. On the other hand, Griffin the gentleman doing repairs was great, he helped me with the grips as I'm new to the sport and was able to give me some insight on what can help me enjoy it more. everyone else seemed very nice as well.
