Nice driving range! Practice your short game and chipping here. I've been here 3 times and its always almost full. But I always find a spot.

I wish I got the young gentleman's name because it seemed like he was one of the only ones in the store who 1) knew where things were 2) could perform an assigned task 3) actually help us out. The reason I am saying this is because we went to the cash register upstairs and the cashier was uncertain that the service was downstairs. Not a big deal, she radioed them and confirmed where we could go. Easy. We go downstairs and show that cashier the glove (brand new, just bought for christmas) and that guy did not know how to do the steaming services, which was also fine because he asked another staff member who helped us, HOWEVER, the first guy told us the cost of it (which there is no cost because after a certain price glove it is a free service). The second guy (bless him) corrected him and stated the price of the glove and why it's free. As the worker was breaking in the glove the other guy cashier asked him multiple questions about where things were, if they did certain services, if he could help this other guest. Honestly that cashier guy was doing NOTHING. This is all in the midst of our guy fitting the glove which consists of steaming and banging it with a mallet which could be dangerous! Just seemed like an unprofessional thing to do. Now maybe this guy was new so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but seriously it seemed like he didn't even bother trying to figure it out on his own before turning the the gentleman helping us. All in all the service was great, he was knowledgeable and answered the questions we had! It seemed like there was a large selection of inventory and some decent sales. I would go back if I needed something from dick's specifically

This will be the third municipal golf course that I've visited. This golf course is well kept and…read morethe staff here is awesome, too. We love Kitty, who works here and at the Los Feliz Par 3 golf course. Roosevelt Golf Course is well maintained and the fairways are wide and the layout is nice. This is a great course to learn how to aim because there's wide fairways so you'll be able to find your ball. The course layout is nice yet not so tight due to the wide fairways. You won't find many greens with divots (we are OCD about fixing our divots (and others) no matter which course we visit because we respect the sport) because it may be due to the hole designs. They are nice and challenging. You have a couple of dogleg left or right holes. You'll see a flag to mark the middle of hole on the fairway for those dogleg holes. The course is well maintained and the greens are SO nice! Each tee box, fairway and green was in excellent condition. You won't hear any freeway or traffic noise because it's nestled in a neighborhood. There's plenty of trees so you won't be scorching in the sun. There's a perfect amount of shade for each hole. We were introduced to this golf course by one of their long standing staff members, Kitty who also works at the Los Feliz Par 3 golf course. We're so glad she mentioned Roosevelt because now we will be frequenting Roosevelt and Los Feliz! Roosevelt is so relaxing and we love the wildlife we encounter at Roosevelt, too. There's nothing better than playing golf and hearing the birds sing, feeling the wind and soaking in the sun. We'll be back. #RooseveltGolfCourse #golf #mortimerthebear #rilakkuma

A fairly decent 9-hole golf course. One of the major negatives of this golf course is the parking…read moresituation. The traffic is very heavy driving into this golf course because it is nearby other hiking trails and venues. It is a walking 9-hole golf course and par3 and par4. If you want somewhere to go for fun on a weekend, it's nice to try this course.

How in the heck have I not reviewed this place and have been playing here for the last eight…read moremonths?!! Well, things have been hectic with life and started playing golf with the Mister. You gotta start somewhere. I have a newfound respect to the sport and sadly, I'm addicted. I've been doing less eating and more golfing! This tucked in, par 3 course is great for beginners. The staff here is super nice. For a municipal golf course, it's not bad at all. Since they are so busy, it's hard to keep up with the greens but now that it's Fall, the grass has been growing in. We love this quick course that we try to go every Saturday and Sunday, if our schedules permits it. I like this par 3 course better than the Van Nuys location because yes, it's next to a freeway and a main road but you don't hear anything. It's pretty tucked in that you don't hear the cars unless they have loud exhaust systems or they're riding loud motorcycles. The staff here is so nice and welcoming. The groundskeepers are cool, too. It's always a great time at this par 3 course, like I said, I'm addicted now! I do have one picture but it's of our furry little friends that come out when we play. We're attached to them, too. The California Gray ground squirrels are friendly and cute. They're not a nuisance and are quite adorable when they sit there and watch you play. They'll actually come out and say hello to us when we call them. We have two buddies and those two will actually walk up to us. It always brightens our day playing golf and seeing wildlife. Can't beat the great outdoors! I'd definitely recommend this course for someone who is just starting or if you want to learn. Everyone else is doing the same thing so it doesn't affect the pace of play if you've got someone ahead of you that's learning. Every time we've visited, we always run into really nice people and they're not snooty. This course is nothing like the Van Nuys and Rancho Park locations. You've got decent fairways, nice greens and wonderful staff members here! That's why we frequent this one so much. Great job and hope they make a monthly plan for addicts like ourselves, that would be awesome! We'll be back next weekend!

I have to knock down my original review by 2 stars. We recently went out again and sadly because…read moreof the maintenance of the grounds it was hard to find a couple of our balls that were in the fairway. It can't be that hard to run the blower and get rid of all those fallen leaves. There were so many they were probably leave left from last fall . And another reason the fun was taken away. They allowed a group of five play that had no etiquette as one of them was setting up a tripod to video their terrible play. And there is another group of five with only one bag between them all. They should've enforced renting clubs from them. Unfortunate the lack of care makes this probably one of the worst courses to try really really good spot was the greens look like they were well kept.
