    Desayuno tipico

I placed a pick up order at 8:58AM and was told my order would be ready at 9:30AM. I show up at 9:40AM and my order isn't ready. I finally get my order, drive home and my order is wrong. I ask for the ranchero sauce on the side, I didn't get my crema and I was given casamiento instead of refried beans.

*4.5 Okayyyyyy so I've seen this place on Instagram so many times and the fact that I waited this long is mind bobbling!! Great service!!Staff is friendly and attentive, dude that helped me out answered all our questions. Clean place and very comfy. If you're going to have a big order is going to be a wait but definitely worth it. Price is reasonable specially nowadays. We ordered an ensalada (salvi drink) Which is full of Different foods, sweet but not entirely diabetic sweet, highly recommended. Ordered cheese pupusas as well as my favorite pupusas which are the revueltas, which is mixture of cheese and meat and wow... Full of taste, the cheese to harina ratio is absolutely perfect, perfect size these pupusas might be the best pupusas I've ever had!!! Highly Recommend and stop wasting your time by going to any other place To order pupusas!!!

Great Salvadorian food and great service. I stop here At least 2 times a week. My usuals here are the revuelta pupusas, atole de elote and sometimes I get the agua frescas. Service here is always great the ladies and the gentleman that work here are always super kind. It can get pretty busy in the mornings but the line moves fast and also call in your order if you're in a rush.

    Horchata in question

Pupusas were decent.. little thick on the masa and skimpy on the feeling but overall good flavor. Platanos were delicious .. I was really looking fwd to having horchata salvadoreña...I asked the girl in the front if it was mexican or Salvadoran horchata cuz it looked like mexican horchata...not gonna like this is definetly mexican horchata. Been to plenty of salvadorean restaurants and the water has a slightly nutty flavor. The one I got here overwhelmed my tongue with cinnamon and creaminess...not a fan. If I wanted mexican horchata I would go to a mexican restaurant. Not bashing mexican horchata in any way. Shape or for.. I just prefer the taste of salvadorean horchata.

This is my receipt first charge is the huevos, frijoles, plátano plate; second charge is the large coffee;and the last charge is the pupusa

First and last time coming to this place, I ordered the huevos, frijoles and plátano plate that's costs 13.95, large coffee that costs 3 and a jalapeño pupusa that costs 3.95; my total was 25.08 There's two dollars unaccounted for. I tried disputing the charge twice but the lady gaslighted me into thinking my math was wrong. The lady with the mole told me, she charged me extra for the huevos rancheros but my friend literally got the same plate and she was charged 13.95 for the same plate. She also said they up charge for dining in. I'm not sure if she didn't like that I tried disputing my charge but when I got my pupusa at the end She gave me my salsa and curtido all in one bag?!? Am I trippin cuz I ain't never seen any one give me my toppings in all of my pupusa eating life in one bag... I'm not one to make a scene (& I didn't) but I just don't appreciate being jipped for my money. The math is not mathing. Think twice before coming here. I have included a picture for reference. One star for the service and the poached eggs they use for their huevos rancheros Ambience is non existent

The food is ok, the service is good and the ambience is always busy but it's FAST. I think they just need to tone it down on the SALT on the chiles rellenos. The food is warm. The other carrusel is waaaaayyyy better in Van Nuys.

Mocha tres leches cake - so good and it has fruit inside

Amazing place for a variety of tres leches cakes! I was looking for a bakery in the valley to pick up ready made cakes and came across El Carrusel. It did not disappoint ! Their horchata tres leches is super unique and not super sweet. The mocha tres leches is also delicious and even has fruit in between the layers ! Highly recommended. Not to mention the presentation is also beautiful !

Super dry fried plantains.. I had to add condensed milk but it help. I used to love buying them here. But some how they aren't paying much attention to the food anymore... I mean for 10 dollars I expect good food this wasn't it!

They even have the pan in the cake holder!!

This is my new obsession!!!! The food is as authentic as my Tia's house! Absolutely delicious!!! And such a home feeling!! The service is like no other!!

El Carrusel website stating they offer Cinnamon Rolls and then Arleta location saying they don't sell them.

The best place to have pupusas! Their service is great and food is always fresh and hot. The only place I go for Salvadorian dishes.

Juan was awesome -- very informative, even shared a little history of Pupusa's :) Nonetheless, the service was great but the food ** chefs kiss ** was phenomenal! We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

So much flavor packed into these things, these are some of the best pupusas I've ever had, good size and they do not cheap us out on filling. Definitely try em if you're in the area!
