Very good authentic food & fast service. Great value. One of York's best neighborhood restaurants.

Monfongo, bifongo, trifongo . . . Since it was our first time in, we tried a lot of different items. The Monfongo with chicharones de pollo was excellent. The pastillilo de carne was good. The papas locas (with carne) was really good. It was so big, we couldn't finish it. We ordered it for an appetizer but it really could be an entree. The arroz con gondules was good. It could have had a little more flavor, but it was fine. I ordered a side of the trifongo since only the monfongo came with the entrees. I really liked their trifongo. Hubby got the pina colada frappe and it was very good, very fresh. Definitely a good place to visit. Street parking. Service was a little scattered and it took a lot longer for our food than expected. Lots of families and lots of people taking out, in addition to almost packed tables. Go, enjoy the Boricua food and feel like you're on an island. :)

The chicken was pretty good. I think everything would've been better either in the store or just hotter. (The fries weren't warm). We will definitely be trying this place again.

The food was flavorful. I got the goat, and morcilla (blood sausage) and my partner got the beef, platanos, and yuca. His beef was fall-off-the-bone tender, platinum, and yuca was great. My goat was a bit chewy, and morcilla a bit dry, but still very tasty. I'd definitely come back to try their other à la carte dishes. There are so many choices even if I went back every day for lunch for a week, I still would not be able to sample all that they offer. I couldn't take a pic of my partner's plate as it was so good he inhaled all of it, I barely got any, and that's how you know his plate was amazing!! Service was awesome as well, the lady was so nice and helpful.

Had the Pernil & Yellow rice with beans on the side and a plate of oxtail, smothering the rice with gravy from the steamy food table you can choose from many delectable entrees, priced very well and all the food you can see was fresh. Huge assortment of imported juices & drink you will enjoy the Latin taste and smells of the kitchen that fill the room. Staff was very comforting and served high heaping plates you can feed 2 people with one serving. Hope you try this place. I will be returning without hesitation.
